I got introduced to this company back in 2019 when they set up a taco trailer in Fremont over on Thornton Blvd. And that one is still there thriving, not surprised as they do a good job at taco truck food imo. This one is a newer brick n mortar in an industrial area of Hayward. Looks like they took over another taqueria. Been in for lunch twice recently and the place seems to get a decent lunch crowd from the area with lots of Spanish speaking dudes on a lunch break. Place is clean with an open kitchen separated by glass. One cashier person up front that can help out in the back when available. Menu here seems a bit larger than the taco truck but that kinda makes sense as brick n mortars can usually handle more activity, as trucks are somewhat limited in space. Outside of the basic tacos, burritos and quesadillas they also have platters with rice n beans and soups/stews such as Menudo. Beer and soft drinks in a self serve refrigerator. Carne Azteca ($23ish/3.5*) This is a bigger and more substantial platter with a thin slab of carne asada and some griddled shrimps, so a Mexican surf n turf. The rice n beans were solid and their corn tortillas are nice and thick and when warm is super soft and supple. You could actually just make a meal with their rice, beans, some salsa and those tortillas. Trust. The Carne Asada part was mixed for me as I loved the seasoning and browning, protocol carne asada technique. But a few bites from the beef itself were a little off, like oxidized meat starting to lose it's freshness. It was a slow Monday and product can often just sit too long. I still ate most of it and I didn't get sick, but it was quite noticeable to me. The shrimps were great, super flavorful and grilled nicely on a plancha. And there were a nice garnish of tiny onion bulbs that were nicely grilled too. I may try this on another day to see if I can get one how it is really supposed to be.Menudo ($19ish/4*) Got this on winter's day and it hit the spot. No hominy (which I prefer) and super tender tripe to where it was almost silky in texture. The broth had a good red chile presence and was quite flavorful but it was also quite salty, that I couldn't do all the broth. Usually I can. Also not always expected but no pata in this version. The ones that do usually get a bonus star from me.One of very few times I've gone to a taqueria multiple times and came out with zero tacos. I guess I went a little more substantial on both visits. But I will no doubt be back for some tacos and/or a huarache. I've had good ones from the Fremont location so I'm sure they will at least match that here. Hoping for a tighter quality control that's all.

Tacos Sin Fronteras opens where Edith's Taqueria was. Inside dining only. Large parking area. CC machine not working. Cash-4% off. Offerings: burritos, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, tortas, plates, antojitos, extras...Eats: al pastor, cabeza, tripa tacos @3.90-salsa bar had spicy, mild, avocado salsa. Garnishes of radish, onions. Sour carrots...-tacos had generous amounts of proteins with cilantro, grilled onions, cilantro toppings. -double corn tortillas were slightly grilled, tasted dry. -al pastor & tripa grilled, tasted dry, had no flavor.-cabeza was shredded, slightly moist/juicy. -mild salsa slightly spicy, avocado smooth, bland.*their taco truck in Fremont had the same food profile.

My boyfriend loves this place and so I decided to give it a try. The restaurant was clean and spacious. I ordered the Super burrito bowl, but it wasn't what I was expecting. It looked more like a kids meal than a super burrito bowl. So I went back and told them " Where is the meat ?" The dish had more veggies & rice and there was hardly any meat and they were going to charge me $5 for extra meat. As I was waiting for my food, the cook/server were handling my food without any gloves, so I decided to cancel my whole order, If you're going to handle food, at least wear gloves. I'm not coming back.

5/18/22New Taco Spot Alert!!!Taking over the Edith Tacos Space is Tacos Sin Fronteras. They spruced up the inside a bit adding colorful table runners and a salsa bar, but keeping a similar menu.We ordered 10 Al Pastor Tacos. Now before you go judging me, I only ate 3 tacos. My 20 year old son ate the other 7. LOLTacos are $3 each and the meats available are: Azada, Pastor, Carnival, Pollo, Cabeza, Steak, Marinated Pork, Chicken and Head. No more Lengua. They also have the standard Burritos, Quesadillas, Nachos, Gorditas, etc.Tacos were very good...tasty and moist. They also give chips upon request. My son loved their salsa bar, and tried every one. He didn't have a favorite, claiming they were all really good. We'll be back!

I read the reviews prior to going so I thought this was going to be great and it wasn't even good. Upon walking into the establishment there isn't even an aroma of food, staff not the friendliest and food unseasoned and bland. I see a lot of reviews about tacos which I didn't order, my friend ordered a "wet burrito " which had a orange ish sauce on it that had an odd taste with a sprinkle of cheese I would definitely suggest you don't order it. I do see a picture of it in the pictures on here which is an accurate picture of how it looks (she didn't see this prior) I ordered a regular burrito Definitely a waste of money .
