Tacos Mamá Cuca

The food here is amazing! We went around 3:45 pm today so there was no line and super speedy service. We had friendly employees take our order and friendly regular customers chat with us about what is in the SERIOUS spread at the salsa bar! My husband was in love with the Taco Yaqui, which is their most popular dish, and I had the carne asada tacos, which were so flavorful. Everything came out piping hot and fresh - we loved it! Can't wait to go back!

I wish it would have been better. Came here a few days ago with my family. They looked good & priced fairly for a taco truck. I had ordered 2 chorizo tacos and 1 beef tripe taco Yaqui. My wife had ordered chorizo tacos & carne asada taco's. We also brought our baby, in which we thought we would be able to order some beans, chicken, and rice on plate; but they said no. We thought it was odd but fair enough, they can't change their menu, so we got her plain chicken tacos. Once we received our order, we noticed that we were missing my 2 chorizo tacos. I walked up and told them the situation, & the guy looks at me, looking annoyed, and says that the order has already been taken. I reply, yeah, I took it to my table, but I do not have the chorizo tacos. I speak to someone else & tell him the same thing & the other guy looks at me confused, but nonetheless we straighten things out, and they get me my tacos. I had to try my daughter's chicken to make sure it wasn't spicy, and it was good! Good flavor and not too dry (seems like it was chicken breast, I could be wrong). My beef tripe taco Yaqui was good! I removed that taco from existence from my plate. I had no complaints on that.Once I had the chorizo tacos though, I was not able to say the same thing about it. It just wasn't good. The flavor seemed off. I couldn't quite put my finger on why it wasn't good, but it just simply wasn't good. My wife had also said the same thing about hers.Luckily, their portions were pretty big & their tacos were larger too, with their flour tortillas, which also was pretty good.Lastly, when we ordered our drinks, I just wanted a water & we also needed a water for my daughter. They apparently do not sell water. What?? You sell food & drinks, but no water!? Regardless, I made it work, went to the liquor store nearby and got some bottled waters. But after the meal, we see one of the cooks grab a bottled water from a cooler, and drank it (maybe he brought it, maybe he didn't). It just doesn't make sense.

Passed by this place and saw the hugeeee line that wrapped around the whole parking lot and go so curious. I knew I needed to try it out and see what the hype was. Came around 7pm, ordered pretty fast, food itself took maybe 45 mins, but I mean they had a LINE of people there. AND everything is sooo fresh. They cook and prepare everything in front of you. From the meat, to the smoked peppers, etc. You can also get your own cilantro, pineapple salsa, hot sauce, onions, etc at the little condiment bar. I got the Taco Yaqui , my cousin got the Chorreanda. the Taco Yaqui was FIREEEEE. Every single bite was so yummy and juicy and flavorful~ You gotta try it at least once. I would sooo go back I just gotta be prepared for the wait now esp since its outside hehe. BUT the workers and service was so great they provided us chairs while waiting. Super recommend!!

Very long wait -- Drove by this establishment a week ago and saw that there was a huge line. Drove by it today (still a long line) and decided to wait and see whats good. Waited in line at 5:24pm and ordered at 6:39pm then waited for my food until 740pm. Whole process took 2 hrs.Food -- ordered the special burrito w/ carne asada and 2 carne asada taco and 2 al pastor tacos. Make sure you check your order after you pick up they ended up just giving 4 carne asada. They also didn't include any toppings on the taco so you would have to put it on yourself at the salsa bar. The burrito was very heavy and dense and the bacon was crispy. The burrito is not like a traditional burrito, this one did not have rice and they load it with ALOT of melted cheese ( which is a plus). The meat was good, you can taste the bbq char which i loved. The salsa at the salsa bar all made fresh. Overall -- I wouldn't wait 2 hrs but if you drive by and see a short line, I would recommend giving it a try. Just make sure you double check your order and load up at the salsa bar. They also prefer cash but you can ask to pay with mobile pay.

The food really is good. The smokiness from the BBQ makes a big difference. Too bad they're so popular. Took us 30 minutes to order because of the line, then took us another 1.5 hours to get our food! Not sure if I'll ever want to do that again. ‍

The taco yaqui and lorenza, as always, hit the spot. Consistency is not an issue.Their new location precludes the legendary salsa bar (still present, though, at pop-ups), which is unfortunate, so salsa/toppings now come in plastic bags and cups. These servings are generous. Cash payment is preferred over Zelle.

It may not be an ideal location, but the food is amazing!From the delectable smokey flavor of wood grilled beef, to the perfect salsa bar, if you're a fan of Sonoran style tacos this is the spot for you!We sat down next to a couple that came out from Brentwood, so you know it's good!

Had a nice lunch date with the wife-- showed up right at 1pm and ordered a couple carne asada tacos a piece, made sure to top them with the pineapple salsa. There is definitely a general kick to the tacos, but those picked onions are on another level and NOT recommended if you're not into spicy food (you need to love spicy food). My wife put them on her taco and was eating-- although the food was good, her mouth was on fire. I had them on my plate but didn't put them on my taco. Tried one of them at the end and started coughing.Definitely will be coming back to have a quesadilla but will leave the onions alone... not for the weak!

Heard it was good so we made the decision to try it out, we place an order around 7:45, waited for about 2 hours and and our order was not ready. We asked for our money back, it was too long of a wait. During our wait we saw the owner making a quesadilla for a group of ladies while they waited for their order. Not cool...

The tacos here were fantastic, and the owner and staff were incredibly friendly. My only minor complaint is the price relative to the taco size (hence the 4-star rating). I'll definitely be back!
