The service was awesome! Tony is an enthusiastic proprietor and provided guidance for our first visit! The boba was FRESH and tasted amazing. I had the strawberry frenzy, and we also had the HIV, matcha boba, and coconut/taro with boba. All were delicious and different from all others. He made this an experience!

The place here is great. There is a guy here named Tony and he is passionate about making sweet desserts. The drink that he sells is a bit above market rate but the quality of the drinks are phenomenal. This is my go to spot for taking my friends whenever we are in San Jose. This shop is open until 2am making it a great place to go when it is late.

The owner is a one hell of a salesman. He sold me drinks and cakes that I had no interest in getting. It was kind of crazy, walked in wanting a little scoop of gelato, walked out with a gelato, a cake, and a fruit tea. Unfortunately, the stuff he's selling isn't as good as his talent for selling it.Everything has a fun name, so that was fun, and the shop dog is cute.Cake was pretty dry and the fruit tea wasn't great either - but maybe this is unfair because I was there pretty late, so maybe the cake was old and there are lots of drinks on the menu and I just picked one I didn't like. The gelato was okay.I might go again just to experience the dizzying sales experience which was kind of fun though.

I had a nice experience at Sweet Gelato Tea Lounge. The drink I ordered was refreshing and well-made, with just the right amount of sweetness. The flavors were balanced, and it had a really smooth texture, which I appreciated.One of the highlights of my visit was actually talking to the owner. He was really interesting and clearly passionate about his shop, which added a personal touch to the experience. It's always nice when you get to engage with someone who cares about what they're serving.Overall, the drink was solid, and the conversation with the owner made the visit even more enjoyable. Definitely a cozy spot for a quick treat and chat!

Our visit to Sweet Gelato Tea Lounge started off in an unusual way, with the owner proudly showing us his many awards and glowing Yelp reviews. While this was entertaining at first, it set a strange tone for the rest of the experience.I sampled some of their natural ice cream sorbets, which are advertised as mostly natural and containing only 10% sugar. However, the sorbet tasted excessively sweet and icy--more like overly sweetened frozen fruit than a creamy gelato. It left me doubting the "10% sugar" claim.The overall experience was uncomfortable. The owner, while enthusiastic, created a rushed and pushy atmosphere, where we felt pressured to make quick decisions. He upsold nearly everything, and the drinks we ordered were more syrup than tea. I couldn't taste any tea flavors, which was disappointing given the premium pricing. You can easily find similar drinks elsewhere at a fraction of the cost, minus the overload of toppings that he uses to justify their uniqueness.What bothered me most was how we felt subtly coerced into larger purchases. For instance, the tiramisu was practically forced upon us, and we didn't enjoy it. The shop has a "If you don't like it, you don't have to pay" policy, but it seems more like a guilt trip. No one's going to leave without paying, no matter how unappealing the dish is. We ended up finishing it despite the disappointment.While the concept of Sweet Gelato Tea Lounge sounds intriguing, the reality left much to be desired. Between the overly sweet treats, the pushy sales tactics, and the uncomfortable atmosphere, it's not a place I plan on revisiting.

Btw, you pay after you get your drinks. My sister was browsing the menu and asked what's in the deez nuts smoothie. He said it's taro. She kept on looking and he started making a drink which we assumed was for another guest or a DoorDash order. He hands her a smoothie and she said "for me?" She was shocked. He put whipped cream and caramel drizzle all over it and we didn't know what it was because we didn't order anything yet. I almost assumed it was on the house because he knew it was our first time here.My cousin actually ordered the betrayal by fashion and on the menu it says it has like 4 types of boba. He asked for it to include the boba pearls in case it doesn't already, basically to substitute one of the toppings for boba since most of the drinks on the menu have mystery toppings and flavors. We were sitting and I noticed the place is very dirty, the gelato sitting in the freezer doesn't look appetizing, it's very icy. I was wondering when we would have to pay, and we didn't finish our drinks but we had to go. My cousin checks out and I was shocked to see the receipt! $36 for those drinks? He also up charged us for larges when only one drink was ordered as a large and was given in the large cup. He charged my sister for the whipped cream which he added on his own free will without us asking for it? You can't add all this extra stuff onto someone's drink that they don't ask for and then charge them for it. This owner is wild if he thinks he can keep getting away with this.

Let the empty items in this photo be a sign of how amazing the drinks and dessert are at this tea lounge. My group and I came through expecting to just stop in and grab a quick drink, but were instead treated to a whole storytelling experience. Tony welcomed us in, told us a bit about the lounge and the drinks, and since we were first-timers offered us a cool opportunity -- let him surprise us with a drink, with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Being indecisive worked in our favor and we joyfully let him take the reins. He picked up on the general vibe of the drinks we were going for (fruit tea and matcha*) and somehow made us each exactly what we wanted. We absolutely loved it here and stayed long enough in the comfy booths to hang out with the resident dog, Boba (a lovely little lad)! We're definitely coming back!*also, he totally guessed that I was a matcha girl and it was crazy-- personally, I think he's a mind reader haha
