My bf and I love checking out new sushi spots, and he found this place! Everything we tried was so good. We came on a Monday right when they opened at 4:30 pm, so we got seated right away. There's plenty of street parking and the restaurant is small but has a cozy vibe.We both got the 8 pc Omakase (Chef's Selection Sushi), and I'd give it a 10/10. The fish was fresh, buttery, and super tasty. We also tried the Four Seasons Roll, which I think had eel, snow crab, salmon, and tuna in it. It was really good, probably a 9/10. I'm not huge on unagi sauce, but they didn't use too much, which I liked. Lastly, we had the Grilled Hamachi Kama (Yellowtail Collar) which was a 10/10. The meat was tender, sweet, and buttery. I'd definitely come back here!

Solid spot. 4.5 stars. Short ribs, papillon roll, and lion king all above average. Service was good - efficient. I wouldn't go out of my way for it but if I lived in the neighborhood, it would probably be regularly on the rotation.

My wife and I have been here twice, and while we've enjoyed both visits, one thing keeps standing out--this place needs a serious deep clean. The baseboards, AC unit (including the foam and pipes hanging over the food), and overall cleanliness need attention. If it were up to me, I'd pull out all the tables, deep clean everything--walls, floors, bathroom--disinfect it all, throw on a fresh coat of paint, and start over. The Food:Decent, fresh, and generous portions for the price. Not a standout sushi spot, but a solid option for a quick bite.Service & Cleanliness:While I appreciate the staff wearing gloves, there's clear cross-contamination happening. Cleaning tables and picking up dirty dishes with gloves is fine--but using the same gloves to serve clean dishes? That's a problem.I've read a lot of reviews hyping this place up, but having dined at Michelin-level omakase spots, I can confidently say this is a good sushi place--not a phenomenal one. Everyone's palate is different, but let's be honest about what this place is.Ratings: Food: 4/5 Value: 4/5 Parking: 3/5 (Street parking) Cleanliness: 2/5 - This is what really lowers the rating for us Wait staff: 4/5 (Friendly and efficient)Would I come back? Maybe--but only if they clean the place up.

Came here right when they opened on a Saturday and got a seat easily. They gave us complimentary edamame which was nice! We ordered the chef selection sushi, sake donn and a hamachi roll. Sushi tasted fresh but not sure if the price for the chef selection was worth it. Overall, it's a cute spot with great service!

We came around 7:15 pm on a friday night and got seated within 15 minutes. Parking around the area isn't hard to find but it's all street parking in a super narrow road.Interior of the store is a bit small too but not super cramped. The servers came with water and to take our orders pretty quickly, but the actual food itself took maybe around 30-40 minutes to arrive.Overall we thought the fish was pretty good quality and the roll/handrolls were good as well.Toro tasting: The fish pieces were pretty huge and super fatty. This was great but in the end it was a bit too much for me. If i came again i would split a 4 piece between two people instead of 8 piece. We were also disappointed to see that they provided regular white rice instead of sushi riceHamachi handroll: This one was really good - big chunks of hamachi and good flavor.Uni: It was ok but i wasn't the biggest fan, the taste felt a bit off compared to what i expectedOverall the nigiri fish quality was good but a bit bland in our opinion, we wish the nigiri came with more sauce on top instead of us having to use a lot of soy sauce.

I had an appointment near here, and decided to stop in for lunch, based on the Yelp reviews. As others mentioned, very fresh fish! Absolutely delicious. As I was sat at the sushi bar, I could also see the offerings, and they indeed were very fresh looking. I got the lunch bento box with nigiri and tempura. I enjoyed both very much, especially the hamachi, which is a favorite of mine. The service was very low key and not the most attentive. Strangely, I ordered tea, and I got a big water type glass filled with hot tea. I noticed the gentleman a few seats down, who also ordered tea, got a proper pot and ceramic tea cup. Not sure what's up with this. The star service came from the sushi chef, who, although wasn't tasked with being a server, was the most attentive. The restaurant itself is small and cozy, with relaxing music playing. If in the area again, I'd definitely return.

Small restaurant but we easily walked in and got seats. We tried some nigiri and the bento box and everything was fresh. The miso soup was also fantastic. Would definitely go back again.

What a wonderful hidden spot! Came here for a late night sushi date on a random night and I was really pleased with the food here. Complimentary edamame and hot tea to start. We ordered a mix of rolls and sashimi. The fish was high quality and the portions were more than generous for a super good price! It seems like a family business - the vibe was here was very friendly :)

No complaints from me.My husband chose Sushi Kazoku one night as we're trying to find new places to go to and this caught his eye. It's off a popular street in San Carlos, although across from residential so parking is all along the streets and timed for 2 hours until after 6pm.The restaurant itself is kind of small in my opinion, but they've expanded for outdoor dining which helps with seating and you're also able to call and make a reservation. We came without one, but we're lucky to have sat down at a table for 2 and it was great. The menu isn't overwhelmingly big which helped us narrow down our options easier: - Sashimi Omakase - Geso Ashi Fry- 2 handrolls (one hamachi, one spicy tuna)- One specialty roll that I forgot the name of (T_T)They even gave us edamame while we waited for our food to come out which was nice. The food was good, came out in a timely manner, and I'm honestly kind of surprised how a place as great as this took me so long to come to.I'd happily come back as long as my husband's paying.
