Will not blow your mind, but this is a solid, quality hometown sushi joint especially at this price point! 2 item dinner combos for $20 or 3 item combos for $23, in this economy?! The sashimi that comes in the dinner combos comes in large slices that are good quality, fresh, and have no gristle or other weirdness, in this economy?! The portions of salmon teriyaki or tonkatsu are reasonable, flavorful, and tasty, in this economy?!You get my point. (That being said, the katsu tilapia is a bit of a miss - maybe skip that. Tilapia doesn't hold up well to being katsu'd, you want something sturdier like cod for that.)Also service is fast and attentive - dishes come out quickly and there are plenty of watchful servers who will take your order, top up your tea and water, etc. Come try Sushi Heaven - not a Michelin star joint, but will satisfy your Tuesday night tempura dinner combo craving at a very reasonable price.

I believe they changed ownership several years ago, but their service and food is still good. I often choose this restaurant when I am in the area. Most recently, on a weekday night, I ordered the Crunch Roll and Saratoga Roll. The order was made in a timely manner. When I walked in, I passed a fence-like area to pick up my order, and there were quite a few people seated at the dark tables with Japanese decorations upon the wall.I enjoy getting the Crunch Roll for its crispiness and the Saratoga Roll is a classic to me. Both rolls are flavorful, and even though I usually only get rolls from here, their appetizers and non-roll menu is quite plentiful too!

A great local sushi bar worth your time!We got takeout from here and were very surprised by the quality and value of the place! We had the volcano roll, alaska roll, 49er roll and salmon sashimi set all for a very reasonable price. All the fish tasted fresh and amazing. Portions were generous with lots of ginger and wasabi too. I would say the special rolls are heavy on the sauce though, so keep that in mind.Overall, I would love to try this place in person too to see the ambiance and service!

Love coming here for Japanese food and sushi. I've gone here twice in the past few months and the quality has always been great. The food is pretty standard with pricing but quite yummy. There's a lot of seating inside and there's sports and SpongeBob/cartoons playing for the iPad kids. The service is always very great and friendly.

Today I became a fan. Service is really great as well as the quality of the fish. Really love the portions specially on the sushi. We ordered a bunch of rolls but my personal favorite was hamachi dragon, which is not on the menu, but you could ask for it. It was really good.. it was shrimp tempura in the inside with yellowtail in the outside with jalapeños. If you like shrimp tempura and like spicy, this is the one. Their salmon sushi was good, but the albacore.... even better... i am craving for this place already. I really like the vibe. I do feel its Korean owned as I have experience working at a Japanese sushi restaurant environment like this. The restaurant is very clean and so far all the staff have been friendly. Probably I will try their other rolls as well as their nigiri and hot food. Keep it up guys!!

Serious sanitation concerns /: - server with gloves: saw her wear the same gloves for picking things off the floor, to cleaning up tables, to scratching her ear, touching her hair to then serving us plates of food. I think the cherry on top was when she was cleaning up a table, and had her fingers stuck into 3 cups (beer & water) to carry back to the back, and then with no hesitation serve food with her fingers gripping the top of the plate where the ginger is. Restaurant smelled weird but could've been where we sat because there was a whole cart of used dishes and leftover food that just had just been sitting there. Nonetheless, very off putting. Bummer that we had to experience all of this before our food came out because the presentation was actually quite nice. However, if they're willing to have this many sanitation issues in the front of the restaurant, it just leaves me thinking the back is just worse. Overall, I don't see us returning.

Satisfied our sushi cravings! We got seated as soon as we walked in, and enjoyed looking at the various sushi roll offerings on the menu. I got a chirashi bowl and another roll (if you're feeling hungry, you can order the "giant rolls" that are like 1.5 x the size of regular rolls). Waitress was friendly and came to check on us once or twice, and prices are typical for sushi in the Bay

a pretty decent japanese restaurant very conveniently located near me. i used to come here often with my friends in high-school but hadn't been in a minute til the other day when my AC broke and i just didn't want to add stove heat to my already sweltering house during the peak of this horrendous heatwave. Anyway, i noticed that there had been a price hike, which is understandable cuz yakno, The Economy these days. the menu items remain the same good old stuff, so i ordered the cupertino roll and sashimi deluxe, along with seafood yaki noodles. immediately, i notice the noodles don't taste quite the same as it did 6 years ago :,( but things are bound to change with new management. the sashimi pieces were Huge lol i had to eat them in 2 bites. not complaining though, the quality remains pretty good and the portions are quite generous. i recall that we used to get free green tea ice cream as a lil treat at the end, but we didn't get one this time unfortunately.i feel that my taste has changed since my last visit, so i wouldn't call this spot a sworn-by favorite. however, i'll definitely come by again when i feel like eating out with minimal effort :)

Lunch Combo. Chicken teriyaki overcooked so every bite was tough, parts dry and chewy. Salad had way too much miso dressing. Rice was on the dry side. Tempura was hot and not greasy. Green dragon roll was good but nothing special.I would not come again. I didn't sense we were in Sushi heaven.
