Been shopping at this local market for many years. They have super fresh produce, meat, poultry and cheese, plus rolls, pan dulce, tres leche cake and other desserts, and a huge selection of fresh tortillas or every size and type, chips and even a great probiotic (Yakult). Mi Tierra also stocks a fabulous selection of dried herbs, chilies, nuts, seeds and a few dried fruits. Staff are very helpful and polite and everything is rotated and dated--so never a worry about getting an item past expiration. I love this store! They also sell kitchen utensils and cookware at very reasonable prices. Can't beat Mi Tierra for fresh foods, every day kitchenware and excellent service.

Sometimes visiting the International food section at your local grocery store can be so unsatisfying. I always leave knowing there is so much more they aren't showing me.This week I decided I wanted to make tamales for a post Christmas celebration. But I wanted to make everything from scratch. And I knew that Safeway wouldn't provide me with the basics I needed. If you are searching for a clean, friendly well stocked market with everything you need to make beautiful moles, chili verde tacos or the most authentic tamales visit Supermercado Mi Tierra. They have six locations sprinkled throughout the East Bay.

I have only been to the Fruitvale Avenue branch. Amazing place, feels like a trip to Mexico! Phenomenal meat section and everything else. Nice people, easy parking.

As a local, "gringo" home owner I love going to this market! The meat counter is excellent (love those thin pork chops), affordable, everything you need, fresh masa, no long lines, piñatas and great parking. Employees are all kind/helpful heroes during pandemic-thank you!

Been a frequent customer for the last 3 years since I moved close by n last resort most times... Im very disappointed with this place. When walking in today Smelled like a dirty mop head was used to mop the floors... And that was the straw that broke the camel's back!!! Its unacceptable for a Market that sales food to smell so disgusting!!! Also other things unacceptable the meat department always has a bad smell of meats gone bad... The scales in the meat/deli department are not calibrated correctly thus consumers is paying more for air... Some Meat department staff doesn't know the meat cuts and if your not careful you will be charged for something you didn't want... if you buy meat here make sure it what you using the day off because their meat turns every quickly!!! As well as the sauce they make due to using old produce... the Produce is always terribly bad... as much as you see staff replenish produce the produce always seems to be in very bad shape... Bread holder is useless and if you don't go get bread early it will be dry by noontime... The tamales are a hit or miss... sometimesthey are okay n other time have little no meat or to much water was added while steaming so this come out wet & mushy. The Manger is very friendly and some stuff as well... but the stuck up staff out ways them all... and I'm speaking on what I've experienced since coming here... no hear say... I got receipts

They have lots of Latin products, especially Mexican items. Wish they included some organic produce or other more natural items. They did have the hojas or corn husks we needs to wrap tamales. They have tortillas, pan dulce, rice, beans, produce and much more like neon jello and cakes, a rainbow of sodas, hardcore cleaning products, etc.

This market is soooo dumb. Why? Well, because I'm a high school student trying to buy something and they want me to put down my backpack like what the fuck. You act like I'm going to fucking rob this useless ass market. Nah. And even the security is not even doing his job like what if I get my stuff stolen.

Unfortunately this is the nearest store to my location to go to otherwise I wouldn't go there.Firs of all.. everybody at the meat section is ignoring you when you get there and some of the ladies working there have an unsatisfactory face all the time that is uncomfortable kept asking for what you want, and when you finally get to pay, pray to god you don't get to be where the "manager" of the store is.. she's just rude and never doesn't say things in a nice and polite way..
