I come here every day, mostly because the line is way shorter than going to Benson. That being said, there are a number of pros and cons about Sunstream:PROS:- The workers here are super nice and friendly! They always give out sweet compliments and smiles to their customers.- The menu options remain pretty consistent, and usually if they run out of something, they'll restock quickly the next day.- It's a fast and easy stop in the library- There are lots of good "snacky" options like fruit, nuts, instant quinoa bowls, premade sandwiches, etcCONS:- Everything is WAY overpriced. I'm not kidding... I usually get a liter of coconut water here and it is more than $6, but at Trader Joe's, the exact same thing is only $2.- There aren't as many options here as there are in Mission Bakery, so if you want more selection, you're best off heading to Benson- The drinks aren't very well made... Iced coffee is watery and bland and slightly nauseating, the tea is just a teabag dunked in hot water, and the chai lattes are flavorless...Bottom line: this place would be great if it wasn't so overpriced!

Their boba a couple years ago was not good. I used to only come here for their lychee iced tea but they seemed to have stopped offering that flavor. It's a convenient stop when studying in the library during finals week or group projects to get an extra boost of caffeine but there are better options on the SCU campus like Mission Bakery (though it's a lot more busy) or my favorite, Cadence. Sunstream is the only place on campus to offer green tea but it's not very good, really bitter and has a weird yellow-green color to it. I know it sounds weird to say a green tea shouldn't be green but it doesn't look very natural. Good place for a quick coffee if you don't want to wait for the other cafes on campus.

Sunstream Cafe is an amazing coffee shop mainly because it is located in the lobby of the new Santa Clara University library. A library that encourages you to enjoy your tasty beverage of choice while studying at the library.Named after the San Francisco based home construction company whose success led to the creation of the Gellert Foundation that donated the money to help build the new Santa Clara University library.

A quaint coffee shop for the library. Really only worthwhile if you're an undergraduate student of SCU with dining points. Otherwise, snacks and coffee are grossly overpriced. Convient for grabbing a petit bite for that study break but I can't say that the shop offers much else. If you have dining points, I prefer the mission bakery located just a few steps away in benson.Stay away from the café's iced drinks, as they are very poorly prepared. DO NOT get the cafe's version of "boba" as iced water tastes better.

YAY. I love this Cafe that's located conveniently inside SCU's library. I got an iced blended strawberry tea, and it was SO GOOD. I attached a pic in the photo section. It had so much strawberry flavor and felt like a smoothie more like a blended tea. :) Hot water is free, which is a plus because I usually like to bring my own tea to the library at night. It is a good caffeine boost and the employees don't mind giving you hot water! Believe it or not, you have to pay for more hot water at Starbucks cafes, which seems totally ridiculous since water should be available for everyone. (It's because they have to heat it up, which requires energy. Bleh).AND AND they have the BEST organic gummy bears in THE WHOLE WORLD. Like, Haribo is good, but they have this brand that has the BEST gummy bears ever!!!! They come in small packets, and I think the SCU community is aware of these gummy bears because they always get sold out! I've learned my lesson, so I buy like 10 bags when I see them in the libs :]. The sour ones are the best!

Meh.Pricey¬ very good. Their "pearls" [boba] are terrible&so not worth it. Not a fan of their iced teas... they're way too sweet. I haven't bought anything here since I lived on campus&had dining points to spare, and even then, I rarely frequented this cafe. It's alright if you really really want a snack/drink and are too lazy to go anywhere else while studying in the library, but personally, I'm not a fan.

I find it funny that we can reviews about our own university cafe! So Sunstream Cafe is located in the main lobby inside SCU's library. I would recommend getting their passion fruit black iced tea or their hot vanilla chai tea. And I agree with the other reviews about their boba drinks, don't purchase it! It has a really weird texture. Don't order their Thai iced tea if they still have it; it doesn't even taste like it! It tasted so disgusting to me that I just tossed my drink. For snacks, I've only purchased the spring rolls and sushi. Don't expect too much from it, it's not that good. My spring roll fell apart once I took it out; I might as well just eat the entire thing with a fork. Overall, if you are an SCU student who studies a lot in the library and has dining points, it's a decent place to go to. Food and drinks for the most part are tolerable, but don't expect it to be good. But it is very convenient! If you don't have dining points, don't spend your money here. Too expensive and not worth it in terms of how the food and beverages taste.

This place is only good for its convenience. The SCU library is a second home to me (nerd here) , so I can tell you, that I've pretty much tried everything here, and the food is pretty bland! Nothing is really that great, but if you had to choose something to satisfy your hunger, I would recommend the skinny sandwich which is turkey and cheese on italian cheese bread/ or the ham and cheese sandwhich, whcih is the same thing diff meat on french bread. As one of the reviewers said before, DO NOT get their version of milk tea, ...it is very watered down, and if you've ever had milk tea before...it's DELICIOUS..and this ISN'T.!

They offer the best service in town! The prices are a tad bit steep, though.
