My friends and I went for dinner and I loved the place! The servers were very polite and friendly, food was flavorful. We sat at the patio, which had nice heaters to make us feel comfortable sitting outside in winter!Quesadillas were really yummy! Even tho Michelada was not on the drinks menu for dinner (only for brunch), they were kind enough to make it for me.

Came here for a girl's night dinner and loved the vibe of the restaurant and the amazing service! The interior of the restaurant and plating of the food were both very aesthetic, but I found some of the dishes to be a little underwhelming. For appetizers, we had the tostada de atun and queso fundido. I loved the tuna tostada, and this was the star of the night for me. The crispy base and rice noodles paired well with the chewier tuna, and the aioli added a good kick of flavor to each bite. A lot of my friends liked the queso the best, though I thought the combination of cheese and chorizo to be a bit too oily.I had the little gem salad with shrimp add on for my main dish. I liked the home made crouton crumble at the top, and thought the apples were an interesting addition to the dish. I did think that the $6 add on for 4 pieces of shrimp wasn't quite worth it- I had originally been eyeing the salmon add on but it was a pretty steep additional $18.I would be open to coming back to try their brunch menu, as I have heard that's what they're more well known for!

Rating: 3/5 We recently visited Son of Wolf and overall, it was a pretty mid-tier experience. Here's a breakdown of our visit:We started with a couple of appetizers: a cheese and chorizo starter (served with tortillas) and a crunchy tuna tapas dish. The cheese and chorizo were flavorful but leaned a bit too greasy. Out of everything we tried, this was probably the best dish. The tuna tapas started strong with a great first bite, but the dryness became noticeable as we ate more. The lime wedge served with it lacked any juice, which could've really helped brighten the dish. For appetizers priced around $20 each, we expected a bit more finesse. For the mains, we ordered Carnitas Tacos and Veggie Tacos Unfortunately, they fell short of expectations. We were hoping for fresh flavors with cilantro and onion, but both tacos felt overly greasy and lacked the vibrant punch you'd expect from a good taco. On the bright side, the side salad was decent, but some pieces of lettuce weren't fully cut, which was a little disappointing. We also tried the shrimp add-on ($6) and salmon add-on ($18). While the shrimp was okay, the salmon felt overpriced for what it was. The pricing overall leaned on the higher end, especially given the quality of the food.In summary, Son of Wolf offers decent food, but nothing particularly spectacular or worth the premium price tag. If you're in the area and craving Mexican, there are likely better options to explore.Ambiance was pretty nice a Mexican style interior but slightly more upscale and the service was good too they were very nice!

Food was plentiful and fresh. Cocktails were delicious (I had a mezcal drink with a large dried slice of blood orange- a bit hard to sip around, but visually stunning!)Braised beef rib pappadelle was tasty. Service was excellent!!

Came here for breakfast during the farmer's market that was going on and was seated promptly outside to enjoy the great weather and people watch.Ordered an Iced Mexican Cafe and Cazuela de Chicharrón. The coffee was good but probably should've ordered the Cafe de la olla instead for a more bold tasting cinnamon coffee. The Cazuela de Chicharron was good but lacking in substance. There were only a few pieces of pork belly from what I could gather and mostly pork rinds which were tough to bite through. The tomatilla sauce was flavorful, nice acidity and paired nicely with the fried crispy egg. The refried beans were on the soupy side and if you wanted tortillas it was an extra charge of $3 on top of a $22 order.Service was a bit spotty and noticed that guests seated outside were getting antsy including my party. Wait time from ordering to receiving out meals was on the slower side. Waters were refilled from time to time.Price point was steep for "mexican brunch", but considering the location you may be open to it. For two brunch entrees and two non-alcoholic drinks came out to be around $65.

The food and drinks were phenomenal! I am a sucker for spicy margaritas and their margaritas did not disappoint. I loved the tangy tamarindo with the hint of spice. So good, I had to order two!The chips and salsa were $6 which is kinda pricey but the chips were freshly fried and their green salsa had a unique flavor that made it worth it. The Mole taco was huge! So big that I couldn't even take a full one bite lol. It was very well seasoned and you get a hefty portion of meat. The chilaquiles was also very good and we added chorizo to our dish. I was expecting scrambled chorizo but it came in a sausage which was really good but very hard to cut or chew into. We came on a Sunday and was seated right away. We requested patio dining; the farmers market was taking place so it was a nice outdoor experience to people watch and enjoy the outdoors. Would visit again to try the other cocktails and dishes.

It's a great spot for a casual meal. We went for a weekend brunch when the farmers market is going on outside the restaurant. They have outdoor seating but we op to take a table inside to enjoy the atmosphere and the charming decoration. The service was nice and polite. We were so into our conversations and the waiter was smart enough to leave us alone. LOL....The chip and salsa was way better than I anticipated, given that it's a really common dish. They really pay attention to the salsa especially the green one. I can taste the aroma of the fresh herb!I really like shrimp quesadilla I ordered. It's piping hot when it came which is great!!!!The tortilla is pan fried to golden crispy like it's supposed to be. They don't cheap you on the filling either. Lots of good stuff inside! This is definitely the place I'm looking forward to visit again!

Celebrated a friend's birthday brunch here and ordered a scramble. 5/5 for portion size, service and friendly staff (they brought out a nice birthday dessert and candle too!)Unfortunately the food was really not up to the mark. For example my eggs had some weird veggies like cucumber in it which I really wasn't expecting in a scramble. They've got to get better if they want to survive the solid competition for Mexican in the Bay.

The ambience of this place is very quiet and warm on weekday evenings. The cocktails are incredible. By far the greatest Mexican food I have ever had in my life. I would come here weekly if I could! Service is always impeccable, kind, and welcoming.
