SO SO good. They have CASHEW cheese! We usually get the Casanova pizza both cashew and mozzarella cheese for the family. Always tastes fresh and the employees are super friendly. Highly recommend!

Such a quaint, cozy, and clean spot in Elmwood! I've walked by many a times and finally decided to stop in for lunch, and I'm so happy I did. Peak lunch time on a Tuesday and there were still many seats available on both the top and bottom floors. We ordered the Casanova pizza, which took around 20 minutes to arrive. It is THE quintessential thin crust pizza, perfectly crispy and flavorful. You can tell it's sooo fresh, it's very worth the wait. The red sauce was perfectly seasoned and simply delightful. Happy to support this small business. We talked to both people working and they were both so kind and helpful.

The crust, amazing. The cheese, amazing. The sauce, amazing. Walking up and down the stairs for seating, super smart, burn the pizza as you eat it. Water served in nice mason jars. Fun engaging servers. I live in north beach, little italy, so I've had some decent pizza, and I'd like to say this is already my top 3 with Tony's and Golden boy (upending il casaro). Gotta try their slices next and catch a movie at Rialto across

Great pizza plus good salads and wine. A nice place to share a pie before heading over to see a movie at the Elmwood Theater. I do wish they stayed open until at least 10. 9pm is such an early time to close, and we typically don't eat until 8:30 or so. Nonetheless, this place is cute. If you sit upstairs on a chilly night, it's nice, warm seating due to the heat rising from the pizza oven. We'll definitely be back.

Two stars - Quality Control IssueOrdered a $24 Cassanova pizza for takeout. The pizza arrived completely missing two premium ingredients - bacon and sausage. While occasional mistakes are understandable, when charging premium prices ($24 per pizza), proper quality control is essential. Either ensure all advertised ingredients are included, or adjust the menu and pricing accordingly.Positive: Pizza arrived on timeIssue: Missing key ingredients that were paid forSuggestion to management: Please implement a final check before sending out orders to maintain quality standards and customer satisfaction or refund customers for the lack of quality control.

I came here to dine with my friends for dinner, and we were immediately greeted and seated by our server. We got to sit upstairs in this fairly small, but cozy restaurant. She was very kind and quickly got us water while taking our order. We got the Lo Lo and Burrata pizza. The Lo Lo had a kick with the pepper, but the spice paired well with the pineapple and basil. The Burrata was delicious as well---the cheese made the slice so creamy. Both pizzas had a nice, thin crust and neither were greasy or heavy! For the size, the pizzas were a bit pricey at $25ish for a 14", but I would definitely like to try the other flavors they provide.

One of our favorite spots. The pizza is a NY ish Neopolitan ish style - larger than a personal neopolitan but 1 pizza probably wouldn't be enough for 2 people. We always get 2 pizzas with some leftovers. Toppings are super fresh and flavorful and the crust is delicious.Casual inside, which I also like. I wish you were open sundays!! I always am craving pizza on sundays haha.

Finally got around to trying this pizza place near the corner of College and Ashby. Had a piece of the mushroom pesto and was impressed in the taste, crunch, and chewiness all at once. I'd have to say it's the best pizza I've had in Berkeley in a long time. The crust is not thin, but not thick either...more in the medium thin category. You can tell there was a lot of thought put into creating the multitextured taste. On top of that, the size of the pizza slice they give you is very generous. If the inside dining area was a terrible place to eat, I'd still be pretty happy based on the pizza alone and gladly go sit on a bench somewhere to enjoy. But the interior has beautiful natural light on the eating loft above (skylight and all), and the first floor seating area is pleasant as well. It's the sort of place where you'd feel comfortable hanging out and reading a book for awhile. And if that wasn't enough, the person at the register was nice and kind.

As a pizza aficionado and home cook that makes Neapolitan pizzas, I gladly recommend the Margharita and the Endive Apple salad. The Margherita is a delightful blend of New York and Neapolitan styles, maintaining the simple yet resolute tomato sauce held up by the crisp, firm crust always sought after by the New Yorker -- no flop! The aforementioned sauce remains pure from the extravagant ingredients which bring the sauce of the New York pie to the forefront of the palette. State Flour Pizza's margherita playfully balances between the flavors of tomato and crust. The endive salad is delightfully put together. The crisp lettuce plays very well with the delicately flaky, umami from the dried prosciutto. These components are balanced well by the sweetness and satisfying juiciness of the apple slices. This restaurant would hold its own in the New York pizza scene.

I got a burrata pizza with their house made sausage. Very well made and delicious. I just wish the cheese was cut thinner so it was not cold in the middle or was room temperature when they made the pizza. The sausage was excellent! The dough seemed to be missing flavor, perhaps because of the oven used or the length of fermentation. The wine was very good. The waitress serving me today was wonderful and kudos for her efforts with two stories to move up and down and her effervescent personality and efficiency.
