Spoonfish Poke

Staff here are always so welcoming and nice. If you're stuck on what to get or how to order as a first timer, they will always aide you the best that they can! My goto is all things spicy, that's why their spicy tuna is my absolute favorite. Their spicy tuna is already premixed with this bomb sauce. I also really like the salmon and tuna. I love pairing it with their togorashi sauce (spicy mayo) and their house sauce which is named Spoonfish signature. The sauces together makes a perfect balance of sweet and spicyI also really like their poke nachos. The portion is actually a lot. I normally like to share my nachos with a friend since I can never finish it on my own. Location is located in downtown sj, right by sjsu. Super convenient and delicious for a quick meal

Well dang it, I didn't take pictures.This place was delicious. I had two proteins, both spicy tuna. I had a bunch of the toppings and sauces.Holy hat when I tell you that this place was legitimately tasty. Customer service was great and I took it back to my hotel, the Signia. It's a very tiny restaurant so eating in might be a problem, but it is a delicious restaurant in a cute part of San Jose.

I decided to get some poke, and this spot is close by, so some friends and I go. The shop is small with barely any seating, but there are 4 tables outside.The fish was fresh, and the number of choices for toppings was great. The process to build the bowl is fast, and the service was kind. They even gave me a bit extra on one of my toppings without charging me.All in all it was a large portion for the large bowl with 4 different proteins and lots of toppings. The refresher drinks are also really delicious.

Conveniently located near SJSU. The place was clean and staff was friendly. Solid choices of protein, sides, and toppings. They also have some unique sauces as well other than the basic spicy mayo and ponzu. Overall, good poke spot!

HIGHLY Recommended!! The portions was very generous and the quality of the poke, especially the salmon, tasted very fresh. Their combination of house sauce and citrus sauce was absolutely delightful. The restaurant was very clean and the server was really friendly. Overall, a great experience and would definitely come back.

I was across the street at the Hammer Theatre for a conference and they offered a discount at various restaurants in the area, including Spoonfish. Since poke is one of my favorite foods, this was great news!I got the California Coast bowl in a large size, which includes four different kinds of protein and lots of of other goodies! I recommend getting the half spring mix and half white rice. They have a beverage case with drink options near the cash register - sparkling water, cold teas, etc. The food was solid and I liked that their soy sauce packets are from San Jose!! Staff was very nice and they gave me more seaweed salad when I requested extra. It's not huge inside but they have outdoor seating; just a heads up that only one table is in the shady area. It would be nice if they could get some umbrellas up for the rest of the tables!

Very generous portion for the poke bowl I received and the taste did not disappoint at all! Not to mention how tasty their sauces are! I recommend the signature sauce combined with the togarashi (spicy mayo base). The service was very fast and friendly as well. Fully recommend this place for a healthy and hearty bowl of poke!

My favorite go-to for when I'm craving poke for lunch. A short walk from my work, Spoonfish Poke uses fresh ingredients and their poke bowls never disappoint. I always order a medium "build your own poke bowl." Friendly and helpful staff who are happy to answer any questions if it's your first time ordering (I'm a regular). Limited seating inside, but there are tables and chairs outside. Great place to have a poke bowl and people watch as it's located on the Paseo de San Antonio in Downtown San Jose by SJSU.

This place is definitely a hidden gem! The only reason if I had to pick something to critique is the limited options of toppings and also the portion size.Otherwise, this is a great poke place with fresh fish and a clean ambiance. Service was good and quick and I loved the drink and side options they offered. There's a few tables inside but also outdoor seating that's nicely shaded. I'll definitely be returning.

Fish is good.I was charged extra for avocado that looks like this.I still finished my bowl, but picked out the avocado.
