맛있다! If you're craving Korean food this is the spot. There's a reason why people line up waiting for this place to open their doors for dinner service.Pretty sure they got some Korean harmony in the back kitchen slinging away.Kbbq, LA style galbi, tofu soup, hot stone pot rice bowls, side dishes SGD got it all!As soon as the waitress dropped the pan chan we ate them all up before the main course was serviced because they were all sooo good.Great service from the team. Our waitress refilled the side dishes before they were even empty!Main entrees come in very generous portions great for sharing. Will be adding SGD to the rotation from now on.

A solid spot for Korean comfort food in Palo Alto! I thought the tofu soups were quite reasonably priced for the area, but that a lot of the appetizers looked pricy. A lot of the prices also had seemingly random cent amounts attached to them which was interesting to note- not sure what the reason for this is.I ordered the spicy chicken tofu soup and really enjoyed my meal! The soup came with the egg already added into it (vs other tofu soup spots that have you crack the raw egg into the hot soup on your own), and had a satisfying portion of chicken and tofu in it. I also really enjoyed the banchan dishes here (with free refills!)- my favorites were the bean sprouts and fish cake.Parts of the restaurant feel a bit cramped, the area we were seated in had tables that were quite close together and that detracted a little from the ambiance for me, but the quality of food and service made up for it. Location is very convenient and I'm happy to have discovered my new go to spot for tofu soup in PA!

I came here for dinner on a Thursday night and there was a bit of a wait. The host gives you a menu and you order while you wait for your table to expedite the process which I thought was efficient. There is a parking lot but it's small and was packed. You can find parking on the street though. There seems to be outdoor seating but not sure if it's still used. The interior is small.T4. Dumpling soft tofu soup (4/5): I picked the medium spice level but probably should've done spicier. I wasn't sure of the levels since it was my first time there. I opted for the egg in the soup. The dumpling was nice and meaty. There were bits of beef as well. The tofu soups come with purple rice and banchan but there are some entrees that won't. You just have to read the menu to see which ones.Overall it was a good try! It was definitely a nice spot for a cold winter night. There are plenty of other dishes on the menu aside from tofu soups so I'd probably come back and try those as well.

Very solid spot for korean food; my friend and I love the fact they have many vegetarian options which is always nice to see/not as common? Classic beef stone pot bibimbab and the Cheese Soft Tofu Soup was soooo good, the cheese complimented it well opposed to overpowering it/making it feel heavy. Refillable side dishes that were tasty on their own, service was nice too! I would come back a third time to try their other dishes for sure!

1st Visit and NOT the last My rating is overall 5 stars for customer services even while busy on a Thursday night AND the quality of their soon dobu (tofu soup).I found this location through Yelp while craving some healthy Korean food and boy am I glad that my friends and I walked in. We ordered the Kimchi, Pork, Mushroom -- Kimchi, Beef, Mushroom -- Clam, Oyster, Shrimp -- and Dumpling, Rice Cake, Beef tofu soups + BULGOGI.Bulgogi 9.5/10Flavor was spot on! Juicy, not dry. I loved putting the hidden grilled onions into my soon dobu. Only reason why I docked 0.5 was because it didn't come out sizzling but it was hot. I like it when my stone plates of meat come out freshly sizzling.Dumpling Soon Dobu 11/10I moved here 3 years ago and searched high and low for a tofu house. Berkeley spots have nothing on this side of the Dumbarton bridge. Let's go Palo Alto! I loved the rice cakes texture in mine. Even though I got non-spicy, the soup is still so flavorful. I like adding in the banchan I enjoy like the japchae, potato stew, and bean sprouts into my soup to give it different texture as well. There is a good amount of beef included in my soup as well which came out boiling hot and bubbling (how I like it)!Banchan 11/10I can't do spicy due to health reasons but I tried the kimchi anyway and duuude it is sooo fresh. The Gojijan sauce is fire and thick. Cabbage has had its time to soak it in just enough so it's marinated but not super sour and fermented. That's how you can tell they make this in house. Japchae isn't too oily and it's lightly tossed with veggies including bell pepper and mushroom. The freshly sesame oiled bean sprouts are a classic along with the freshly made cucumber rice vinegar slices. Although, the fav banchan item that takes my taste buds for the win has to be the potato stew. Idk what this is called, if someone knows please help me so I can find a recipe to make it at home. But it is super tender stewed potatoes that belong in a galbijim but it's in a different stew sauce that it's been soaked it and served warm. I can't believe all these little dishes are unlimited. All in all we paid $150 with tip for 4 people, each with their own soups, sharing a meat dish, celebrating a birthday so I'd say it was definitely affordable as well. I see a revisit in the near future! My only beef with the place is I'm in Alameda so it is a crazy drive but worth it in my book for the gram and the Yelpies!SYOY ~ ENJOY!!

Solid soondobu spot! I had the mandu soondubuThey serve a lot of banchan with your meal. The service is attentive although a little rushed. It can get pretty busy but there are inside seats and an outside patio too. Gets super busy during dinner time.

Arrived on a weekday for lunch with my colleague and the restaurant was already buzzing before noon. I was excited to see a vegetarian section of the menu that included a number of rice, noodle, and soup dishes. I ordered the udon tofu soup, which was soondooboo chiggae with udon noodles. It arrived in a piping hot stone bowl that was still boiling. It was filled with soft tofu, thick chewy udon, and zucchini in a spiced broth. I got medium spice (#3) and it was just the right level for me, and quite spicy. I also enjoyed most of the banchan, and the wait staff was kind enough to point out that high were not vegetarian (the kimchi and the tofu skin). I loved the sweet potatoes, cucumber, and glass noodles. Colleague enjoyed her vegetarian bibimbap which was served in the traditional dolsot (stone bowl).

I went here with friends and I had been craving Korean food for a while now. I ordered the Yuk Gae Jang which was very warm and comforting. The broth was flavorful and there was a variety of veggies used such as onions, green beans, bean sprouts, etc. There was some spice to it but nothing too overpowering. It also came with a side of purple rice which was nice to eat with the soup. The complimentary side dish's were also good and had a decent portion. The service here was good and this place has a simple and clean feel to it. Overall, this place has comforting food and I will be back.

Haven't been here in over a decade, but the food is just as good as I remembered! There are so many Korean spots in the Bay Area, and this one is still going strong! It's a good spot if you have a group since you can order several different dishes and share. The service is quick and friendly, and the food comes out hot and tasty!

An awesome huge place for vegetarian Korean food . Spacious, Clean, courteous in service, quick and no - nonsense. We were looking for pure vegetarian and found many options. Asked for the fried Tofu pancakes in appetizers and edamame. For the main course we asked for the tofu soup and Bibibamp. Food was delicious. Portion size is generous. Sides are yummy too.
