Had a terrible experience with takeout here last night. The tempura mori was 4 small, soggy pieces of vegetable tempura. No prawn (as described) For 12.95. The dashi broth of the kitsune udon was flavorless. So was the broth for the tomato vegetarian ramen. Zero flavor, except excessive spice. Both the vegetarian ramens we ordered had hardly any veggies. There was no corn, no nori, and maybe two bamboo shoots and a few tiny slices of wood ear mushrooms. Very disappointing.

Ramen was fine. I used to go to ramen 101 but I am attempting to find a replacement because I think their ramen is a bit too heavy for some reason. This ramen was fine, meaning, forgettable. I ordered this lemon ramen assuming it would have a strong lemon taste. It did not. And after few minutes eating it the taste of the broth started reminding me of TOP ramen. I'd go again to try their tonkotsu. This place also had dimsum. The pork buns were delicious. I'd try the dimsum box they offered. This wasn't on the menu I saw on yelp.

Ordered from DoorDash. Food arrived quickly and was well packaged and still hot.Tried the House Tonkatsu ramen and Tokyo Shoyu ramen. Noodles were like basic top ramen noodles. Broth was not very rich or meaty as I was hoping for. Soft boiled egg was luscious and delicious though! Chashu was grilled and had a nice smoky flavor.Pork gyoza was light and crispy. I enjoyed this the most!Overall, not a bad bowl of ramen but not my favorite.

Went to this place because it was open late, and it's a semi-self service spot with robot delivery. It has an expanded menu that is different from the yelp menu, with sushi rolls, teriyaki items and some more appetizers. It was decent, no frills, solid basic ramens, some dimsum items and basic sushi rolls on the menu. If you want variety this is a decent spot. If you want just sushi, go elsewhere. We ordered these items in the order of how good they were:1. Spicy dumplings-solid with Soy sauce2. Salty egg buns-yummy3. Tonkatsu- decent. I prefer my noodles a bit more al dente with a nice snap, these were too soft, decent broth and fixings.4. Dragon roll- It was ok if you're hungry, I don't recommend the sushi here5. Salmon cucumber roll- maybe for a child. It wasn't that busy and food took a while and a robot brought it. So when the bill comes and you see 18%, 20% and 22% REALLY people. I scanned a QR code ordered on line myself then a robot came. All the guy did was give us water and untensils, which I had to get my own because I dropped one chopstick. Don't come here for service.

The Ramen was really good! Just enough Spicy/heat. Really good broth or soup whatever it's called haha Got the vegetarian one with the beyond meat. Super big serving. For sure can feed two people. The presentation was very nice even came with a wooden ladle. I would only say the service is okay. We sat next door where you had to call over service through restaurants QR code. Very nice scenery.

Slurp Shop is a menu option inside SAGA Kitchen in Alameda, CA. Menu offerings include: Ramen noodle bowls, and appetizers (chicken karaage and gyoza). On a Sunday, I pre-ordered using the SAGA app: -House Tonkotsu, ramen bowl-Chicken Karaage-Pan Fried Pork GyozaHouse Tonkotsu, Grade (5/5), delicious ramen soup with lots of noodles! Served in a pork broth, topped with pork belly chashu (slices), green onions, mushrooms, and soft boiled eggs. The menu says it's a little spicy, but I didn't really taste it. This dish has lots of fresh noodles! And the pork broth blends well with the other ingredients to create a great meal. The takeout container is a little hard to open. The broth is in the bottom section, and the ingredients are in the top section. The ramen travels better when the broth is separate, and you mix it at home. Chicken Karaage, Grade (5/5), Japanese Fried Chicken, 7-8 small pieces of chicken. They were juicy on the inside and the crispy on the outside. Pan Fried Pork Gyoza, Grade (4/5). Japanese Pork Potstickers. Juicy and tasty filling, and lightly crispy skin. My problem is, when you're used to Chinese potstickers, it's not quite the same. Gyoza are smaller dumplings, and have less filling. So in general the Slurp Shop menu items I ordered were good. I used the SAGA app to order, used the 20% Discount, left a tip, and picked up my order myself. Had a nice chat with Gilbert about the new menu, and he answered all my questions. SAGA Kitchen is located at Lincoln Ave x Grand Street in Alameda, CA.Indoor & outdoor dining, takeout, and delivery. ------------------------------------------------Support Local business!

Duplicate Yelp, one for each concept/business???Sorry, but I am so confused...Was I in the city (SF)? Or LA?Way too trendy for Alameda. SAGA - "Locally-owned virtual food hall"Slurp shop - Ramen Yue club - "Authentic Cantonese Dim Sum Cuisine"Koharu - Japanese Cafe Quality/Quantity - Food was 5 stars! We ordered one dish from each business concept:Kohara - Chicken Karaage, hit of the meal. Deep fried, so slightly biased... If you are following, you know I love deep fried food. Good flavor, and the sauce was the bomb. Slight hint of heat, but NOT overwhelmingly spicy. SAGA - White Tiger, smaller than expected, but the flavor was on point, better than expected.Slurp Shop - Meyer Lemon Shio, flavors were good, including the broth. Expected serving size for the quality and price, but more than enough for a single meal.Yue Club - Beef Ball Dumpling, plating could have been better, but again the flavor was spot on. Additionally, the quantity was expected for the quality. Atmosphere - Food hall concept??? Virtual food hall concept??? First time here, but the lady that greeted us did not seem to care. Was told to NOT move chairs around and order through the app on the table. Normally it is pretty easy, but since there are 4 concepts/businesses here, it was not as user friendly as one would expect. Small local business or businesses, not sure how many businesses are here.Cool decor.Robot to deliver our food, which was NOT necessary??? So other than the entertainment value, no additional service. We also watched a couple other customers NOT know how to "finish" their service with the robot, etc. Plus one customer ordered ramen and it spilled on the robot.Street parking, no problem as we came late at night.Numerous to-go orders, very consistent, congrats.Kitchen staff working hard, and plenty of kitchen staff. I saw at least 5 team members. Not sure if that is due to the 4 concepts/businesses. Open 5 days a week from 11:30am to 8:30pm, closed Mon & Tue. Service - N/A, self service. Had to get our own sauces, utensils, and napkins from a self-service station. The phone website where we placed and paid for our order predicted our food to arrive 29 minutes after ordering. After 30 minutes, our food started to slowly arrive. We got our last dish almost an hour later. And it did not come in the order of appetizer and then entree. It came as it was made. Price - $54 + tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2020. We will be back for the food. Can I suggest adding some human customer service? At least say hello and smile as customers walk through the door.

Slurp Shop is part of the Saga Collective of dining options (other menus from Saga include chinese dim sum and other japanese choices like sushi and sandwiches). Same venue and kitchen, so they just separately brand each menu differently. Solid ramen and gyoza though. I stopped in for lunch after my workout for a bowl of Niku Tantan Mein Ramen (about $16 before tax), and you can add a small side of gyoza for $4.75. Ramen broth was beef-based and nicely flavored. Toppings were ground beef, bamboo shoots, black earwood mushrooms, 1 egg, 1 petite fishcake slice, 3 slices of smokey torch-charred pork belly, and sliced scallions. It was a hearty lunch with a good balance and ratio of protein and noodles. Noodles were a bit soft and slightly thicker than angel hair pasta width. They were different than the noodle type that everyone else posted a year ago, so not sure if they changed their ramen noodles or if you have a choice to select the thicker/curlier and chewy noodles. The gyoza side dish came with 4 mini bite-sized dumplings. If you want sauce, you have to get it at the condiment counter inside. I like that they provide compostable wooden utensils for eating and a glass jar of iced water as you sit down. Order by scanning the table QR code or via the Saga app or Toast app. Just be aware that the Toast app had about $0.75 of an upcharge for some menu items and I didn't see the gyoza combo option available on the Saga app. Place is cute and played hip hop tunes inside.

Slurp Shop is a great noodle spot! The ramen was perfect for a fall evening. We ordered the Meyer Shio and tan Tan Mein. The broth was flavorful and the pork belly was too good. There are also vegetarian options and the broth-less special looked really good, I will try it next time. The soft boiled egg was done perfectly. I told myself I'd only eat half of my ramen but it was hard to stop because it was so good! The food was prepared quickly and there's a nice area to eat next door with fun art. I will be ordering from Slurp Shop often.

Customer horrible. It's a nice restaurant however the vibe was completely off. It was our first time here no one came to take our order nor told us how to obtain the menu to order. Because I came with kids we were sent to sit next door. The server attitude was horrible. Because I drove all the way from Hayward to try this place I ordered togo. I hope the food is at least worth it.
