Tried this restaurant for the first time and the food was amazing, every staff member was very polite and friendly (especially Alvwin). Must try Malai Paneer Tikka, Pindi Chholey, and Goat Bhuna Masala. We also ordered Shosha Hug for dessert and loved it. It was not overly sweet and very unique, never had anything like this before. Will definitely go back again to try other items in their menu. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Looking for an upscale Indian restaurant in Sunnyvale with delicious food and amazing drinks? Shosha is the place!Their cocktails are incredible. The Calcutta Paan Old Fashioned truly has an aftertaste just like paan, and the Papaya Mule is a fantastic twist on a classic Moscow Mule. While the menu changes monthly, the chicken curries are always a winner.Pro tip: If you're celebrating a birthday, bring your own dessert (or order theirs - the Rasmisu is delicious) and let them know. They'll make it extra special with party lights, music, and a sparkler! This really added a fun touch to our celebration.

The ambiance was quite nice but felt the space to be congested with the tight seatings . The biryani was very off & very heavy on ghee or butter only. The panpuri was ok but $2 a piece felt very over priced. The goat in biryani and goat bhuana had the same taste. The butter chicken with the naan was also on so so. $5 for white rice was ovely priced as well. Another off thing was the extremely loud birthday song being played out of nowhere. 2 times in 30 mins not so pleasant. Not a quiet place for a dining experience.

I recently celebrated a special occasion at a restaurant that required prior reservations, and overall, it was a good experience. The ambiance was perfect for birthdays or anniversaries, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere. The Tandoori Malai Soya Chaap was incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection--definitely one of the highlights of the meal. However, I was slightly disappointed with the Aam Panna Remix cocktail, which was around 70% ice and didn't have much substance. For the main course, I tried the bestseller Dak Bungalow Chicken Curry paired with Onion Kulcha and Garlic Naan, which were both delicious and satisfying. The curry was well-spiced, and the bread was soft and fresh. For dessert, I opted for the Sizzling Brownie with Lemongrass Ice Cream. While the flavor combination was unique, the brownie was a bit too hard to enjoy fully, which was unfortunate.Despite a few minor misses, I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu. The restaurant has great potential and could be an excellent spot for future celebrations.

Came here on a rainy Friday night to try their food. The drinks were very good! I appreciated the Indian twist that they put on classic cocktails both the paan infused smoky old fashioned and the papaya mule were both excellent. For the apps we went with the Dilli papdi chaat and the Tangela style chili paneer. The chaat was pretty tasty and came with pomegranate on top which was a nice touch and the paneer came out hot and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with a classic tomato based gravy that was a little ketchup-y almost but tasty nonetheless. Finally for the mains we ordered the spinach corn/paneer, kadhai chicken, jackfruit biryani, and naan/roti. Pretty full spread overall. The creamed spinach was a little interesting and honestly didn't really resemble any Indian food I've eaten and the staff was nice enough to add paneer in as we realized after it was corn OR paneer not both. The kadhai chicken again was pretty standard, nothing super impressive but filling and the garlic naan could've been a little more garlicky. The jackfruit biryani was a little disappointing to be honest. The jackfruit itself was fine but the rice portion of the biryani didn't feel like a biryani almost colored rice and I felt it was not very flavorful and lacking in spices. Definitely on the more expensive side as they are going for a more upscale Indian but I feel like the fusion attempts on the menu makes the food seem to lose a little bit of authenticity. Overall a 3.5/5

We were here on a Friday night to celebrate a girls night out. We walked in and greeted very professionally by our waiter. The waiter was very humble give us ideas on what to order and definitely listen to us and taking pictures. The items we order I have photographed them. They were all definitely a hit. The best part was the customer service and even the chef came out to greet us. We will definitely be back for more girls night in.

Great ambience and friendly staff! We went to celebrate my friend's birthday and Valentine's Day they made it really amazing .The cocktail and mock tails are a different approach. I enjoyed the food. We ordered spicy but unfortunately it was too spicy for our palate. I would go there again but will try less spicy.

Absolutely blown away by this place! The food is next-level--authentic Indian flavors with creative twist that actually work. We tried several chicken, lamb and vegetarian dishes which were perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The cocktails were just as impressive with interesting names. You can tell they put a lot of thought into the drinks, not just the food. The ambience was warm and inviting, with just the right mix of modern and traditional. Great vibes for a date night or a fun dinner with friends. And the service? Impeccable. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made great recommendations without being pushy. It was my birthday and they played a nice song with sparklers and the jazz, with the whole restaurants' lights dancing to the tunes. It was amazinggg!!!If you love Indian food and want something a little different, this spot is a must-visit. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!
