We enjoyed everything we ordered!!! Spam Masubi, friend rice, Hawaiian roll French toast, loco moco.... There wasn't a single bad item on our table! The menu is on the smaller side, but everything was delicious!

Truly a small building on the corner of Blanding and Oak. My group was drawn to this place to try their loco moco. We came on a Saturday during lunch time and the first thing we noticed was parking wasn't too difficult considering the time we arrived. At this establishment you order first then seat yourselves at an available table. There is plenty of seating outside and limited tables inside. The loco moco was delicious and didn't skip out on gravy. The cold pasta salad on the side as something new to me but I didn't find anything special about it.

Small house restaurant; cute. Had the Garden Breakfast Burrito. It was so good, and filling! Everything in the breakfast burrito I would like to enjoy. :) Macadamia Nut Latte was good as well & in a big mug. Of course, my husband had a Locco Mocco. He loves those, just in general. His was very filling as well.Big portions, and worth the price.I forgot the girl's name at the counter, but she was nice. Even though this is a small house, they have a bathroom for you to use. Clean. Would love to come back, and try other items on the menu. They have an outside area to eat out as well.

I've tried this place twice and the food and vibe is very homey, which is a good thing! The portions are big, which is nice because I don't leave hungry and the staff is nice too. FOOD: I've tried the Kine Breakfast as well as the Lava Chicken rice plate with fried rice and Mac salad. The Kine Breakfast comes with different options and I opted for Spam, eggs sunny side up, house potatoes and fried rice. I do feel like I could've made this at home (and I don't like feeling that way when paying $18 for something) BUT it was a big portion and VERY tasty. I would totally get this again, no matter what time of day. The Lava Chicken was SOOOOO perfectly seasoned. I was surprised by the Mac salad because it's made with spaghetti noodles but that was VERY delicious too. I wish I had more with my rice plate. DRINKS: I've had the Lilikoi Lemonade, POG mimosa, Ube latte and coconut iced latte. 10/10 recommend for each one!!!!! Someone stated that their latte was watered down - definitely had to be a bad batch that day bc I've tried it on multiple occasions and it was just right. SEATING/ORDERING: you have to order first inside and then can find a seat. There are only 3 tables inside and it's a bit tight. People will stake their claim at a table first though I get it. There are 6 tables outside and it's under a pergola(?). Really nice outside when the sun is out and room to move around. Overall, I've had a pretty alright experience here and look forward to trying all the items on the menu.

Shaka Shack opened where Little House Cafe was. Hawaii fare housed in low key, homey local island ambience. 4ish tables inside, many more out side.Offerings(Hawaii): snacks, breakfast/brunch, lunch, kid's menu, sweets & drinks...Ordered at counter, pd, food ready in under 10 minutes. Steady flow of orders to go.Bites: syd's loco moco: with kalua pork plate, fried rice +2 (20)- 2 eggs over easy over fried rice, kalua pork. Topped with green onions, gravy. Salad on side.-mixed all but the salad all together hash like. kalua pork had roast pig vibes. "Thatsa Hawaii" i thought as I ate the generous amount of comfort food before it cooled. -salad not the Hawaiian chain macaroni type. Twas small round noodles mixed with cabbage, carrots, black pepper, topped with white artisan dressing. Yummy!Hawaii malasada with ube filling (comped)-freshly fried dough. Traveled well. Tear dough apart, spread ube in center or small pieces. Not too sweet. Great for dessert. Either lst time or haven't had it for decades...There was good noise (re: John Lewis) at the next table, happy Asian ladies eating great food, enjoying each others' company in a hospitable setting. 5 stars. Mahalo (thanx) for Brok Da Mouth (extremely delicious) authentic Hawaii eats & hospitality. Planning "cheat" days to revisit.

Cool Hawaiin spot in Alameda. Real home cook vibes and they make their malasadas fresh! Had the da kine breakfast with spam and it was on point but those stuffed malasadas were the highlight of the brunch. (Sweet tooth) My friend and I were lucky cause today they also let us try a new ube dough malasada that might make it to the regular menu! I think they should add it. My friend said she would love it with some ice cream. Overall if you're craving some hawaiin cuisine can't go wrong here. Definitely save room for the stuffed malasadas though maybe by now that ube dough malasada is on the menu lol

Heard the hype about Shaka shack opening in the old Little House cafe location so I was eager to try this. From living on Big Island, visiting family in Oahu, and frequent island hopping-food expectations were high. There's 5 small tables inside, got there around 9 on Sunday and the restaurant quickly filled up. We ordered the ube waffles, Mac salad, and the Loco Moco. The waffles were a little bland, though the syrup helped. The burger in the loco moco was seasoned well, but the egg was a little overcooked and could've used more gravy since it was pretty dry. Kimchee cucumber was solid though. Mac salad was ok-much lighter taste, and a bit on the mushy side with the spaghetti like noodles vs elbow macaroni-not your typical heavy mac salad but my mom liked it. Portion sizes were average for one person-not enough for leftovers. POG juice was refreshing-stronger on the guava notes. Signal coffee was good. Our brunch was a little underwhelming based on the hype, but we're open to coming back to try some other dishes in the future .

Found a new brunch/lunch place to go to in Alameda. And we love it!All of their food (see pictures) were delicious! The tastes were on point compared to the same dishes that we've had in Hawaii just a few weeks ago. I like that their portion were of good size and wasn't too big of a serving compared to other eatery that tends to serve big portions but you also pay for it unnecessarily. The service was fast. From the time we order to the food being served, it was about 10 minutes. But we also went for brunch before more people came in. The inside has some simple decoration consistent with Hawaii theme. Limited seating inside (just 4 tables for about 10-12 people). They have some tables outdoor which is nice when the weather cooperates. We will be back soon.

My heart is warm and happy when I'm in Hawaii the beautiful waters, the kind beautiful proud Native Hawaiian ppl, and family. I was craving the tastes of the islands. This tiny yet lovely place on a back corner of Alameda brings all these feelings back. Classics like locomoco and Malasadas as well as poke on the menu. Ordered a plate of ube pancakes to share and got my favorite Loco moco ! Nice amount of gravy over top and meat was well seasoned. My son got the spicy poke which was really good and nice portion. Lilikoi lemonade malasadas to finish off ! Coconut, mango and ube flavors offered and made fresh ! Excellent service, cute place that captures the feel of Hawaii. Check it out and dive in !
