Senro Sushi

Very friendly staff and their Chirashi bowl is wonderful! Love eating their outside in the summer when it's warm.

Originally we were supposed to go for Mexican food in downtown Pleasanton but it was already too late in the evening and the restaurant would be closing so we went for Senro instead. This is my first time having their sushi. First time I came here, I had a bento which was delicious. This time around I wanted to try the sushi.I don't want to go into any detail of the sushi because frankly, I did not enjoy it. I ate it because I was hungry but if I'm being critical, there is a lack of flavor to the rolls. We ordered the hot night roll, spider roll and dragon roll. The dining room was spacious and they had outdoor seating as wellService: excellent. This is where the restaurant shines. The staff are friendly and attentive. They even gave me the remote to change the channel to the niner game! We won btw lol anyway, that is awesome service right there. I believe Senro is a chain so while I probably won't be going to another one, I do see they have their regulars and people coming in so that is nice. I just wish the food was better.

A Japanese eatery in a non-traditional setting. There's a sushi counter, and indoor and outdoor seating. The service was prompt. Dragon roll - 4/5The dragon roll was good. Dragon sushi roll features unagi, avocado, and shrimp tempura. The sushi rice was prepared just right, and the ingredients were fresh.California Roll - 5/5The California Roll was made perfectly with just the right amount of ingredients and rice. Very delicious. The 3 item Bento has a nice variety of selections to choose from. The Teriyaki beef is tender, not dry. The Teriyaki chicken was a little on the dry side, but still delicious. If you select tempura , you'll get shrimp and 6 veggies all cooked and fried to perfection. If you select sashimi, you get the chef's choice for day. The fish was delicious, and tasted fresh, not overly fishy. Overall, we enjoyed our experience for lunch at Senro Sushi. I would recommend paying Senro Sushi a visit to quench your sushi cravings.

Such great sushi for even better prices! My friends and I had no problem being seated and they wanted to take our order immediately which was great. We did a few rounds of sushi and everything came out timely. All very filling, so fresh, and even more delicious. The salmon with ponzu and the hamachi were our absolute favorites. Their unagi and tuna are both obviously delicious and light as well. I don't think you could go wrong with any of their options. And they do have a lot of options!

This review is based on a takeout order. With that being said, I can't rate the service or ambience but as far as the food goes I would give it a 3/5. I typically don't like to order sushi to go because it's not as fresh, but my girl and I didn't feel like going out lol. The rolls were pretty decent nothing super special about it. I wish they had a little more sauce because they were a tad bit dry, but that's also expected when you order sushi to go. So overall, maybe just go inside and see if your experience with the quality of the food is better!

Senro Sushi is located in downtown Pleasanton. There is a small parking lot out front, but it fills up pretty quickly, as this is a busy area. I did a to go order, as this is a small and semi-busy restaurant - my order was ready within about 10 minutes. Employee was friendly and welcoming when I walked in to pay / pick up my order.I ordered an order each of the kani and sake nigiris, as well as an order of salmon maki. I did not really care much for the kani nigiri, but it was decent - I was expecting more of a different kind of kani nigiri like the imitation crab salad kind. The salmon for the maki and nigiri both tasted pretty fresh though, which I enjoyed. Overall, I was somewhat surprised by this spot - that there is a good sushi spot, especially in this area.

Really wanted to like this place more and give it a stronger review, but the more we thought about it and tried to enjoy it, the harder it was to do.A nice family-run-vibes sushi restaurant in the Dublin/Pleasanton area. Parking can be challenging but there are a few nearby lots and street parking that is sufficient.The prices are OK for sushi - not terribly expensive but reasonable. Plenty of good drink and beer/sake selection.The sushi and sashimi was absolutely disappointing. We ordered the "gourmet nigiri" platter, and it was a platter of poorly assembled salmon, tuna, yellowtail, a few unagi, and some snapper. Not very creative and felt like something we could get from Safeway. The rice was falling apart when picked up, and the proportions of rice/fish were disappointing, especially for the cost of the platter.The specialty rolls are made for... a more westernized palette. Plenty of funny named rolls with lots of "spicy" this-or-that, tons of sauces, plenty of baked/deep fried rolls. This usually compensates for lower quality fish, ingredients, and/or prep. If you like these kinds of rolls, more power to you. If you like a more authentic and delicate nigiri/sashimi delivery, this will be highly disappointing, unfortunately.

Met up with my nephew and his wife for dinner last night and we had an amazing time. Great service and yummy food with large portions for the dinner meals. The area was lively and fun.

This is the classic Japanese restaurant American style the food is good, but the food is waiting too long for Sushi chef it's took us to wait about 50-60 minutes for all the rolls and sushi on the not busy Monday, if you plan to come on weekend please make sure to prepare the wait . The food from hot kitchen is fast like an Appetizer or noodles dishes. Service was good, dining room is big , they have beer bottles , Sake, Tea and soda.

This was such great and affordable sushi place! We ordered 3 roles: Salmon (far left), The Pearl (middle roll) and Hot Night (far right). The Pearl was by far my favorite. The flavors worked so well and the fish was very fresh. I am also a huge fan of sushi ginger and this one hit the spot. It was really really great! They also had so many flavor combos making it hard to choose! I will definitely be coming back The staff was also super friendly and so speedy with our order. The place was also very lively with a great atmosphere, and we were able to just walk in and get seated for 2!
