Sankalp-The Taste Of India

Again writing very objectively....1. Most Important before I even begin the review, the most negative and frustrating part of Sankalp is you cant eat there without waiting for 45 minutes so please go only between 5:00pm and 6:00pm and have a beautiful early dinner.2. Read point 1 again since we were frustrated and returned back thrice hearing about the 45 min to 1 hour wait when we went at 7:00pm or later.3. Now that neither they can do anything about point 1 and 2, they also dont do doordash or togo so sit down and enjoy the fantastic food is the only way here. Also prices are steeper than other places but again I feel its worth the quality.4. We are vegetarian so we ordered Sizzler which was great. Spicy was the way to go.5. Paneer Balti is another great dish and it comes with 2 gravies and paneer but again dont order when its house full at the restaurant6. Butter Roti and Garlic Naan was excellent too 7. Veg Schezwan Noodles were also yummy and again spicy is way to go if you can handle it.8. Veg Makhanwala came very close to how its served in Bombay so again kudos to the chef9. The Kulfi Falooda is also excellent.10. Kachori was the only appetizer we found was not per our expectations but the sweet yoghurt they gave along was to die for. I ordered it twice after that and such a treat like a sweet lassi which is not thick and like "Panchamvrut" if you ever sat in any puja11. Price is steep and if you are party of 5 or over, the gratuity and tax will hit you hard, hence I feel with the wait combined to the same, its a 4 star but honestly food wise they are 5 star and even service is 5 star so hence finally giving them a total of 5 stars.12. No price for authentic north indian food straight from taste buds u rem Bombay and Ahmedabad :)

Located in the mall hence you can find plenty of parking spots, lovely decor/ ambience, welcoming service and the food is great. We had the Chinese non veg sizzler, Chinese bhel, sizzling brownie with ice cream and a mango lassi. The mango lassi was okay, but the other three dishes were absolutely fantastic. The non-vegetarian Chinese sizzler had a portion of chicken and lamb. The lamb preparation is an odd man out on the platter, flavours are inclined more towards mughlai. I never prefer the sizzling brownie with ice cream but I loved it at sankalp. Kid friendly and a warm space for family and group gatherings.

Solid experience, absolutely massive menu, a very solid 4.5 stars.With options for meat, eaters, vegetarians, and Jain diets it's really something for everybody here.Most dishes were very good although the mango lassi was a bit bland and missed the mark.I enjoy the chicken hakka noodles that had just the right amount of flavor Service was pretty good, they checked in plenty and the dishes came out very quickly. Note that they bring things as soon as they're ready instead of all at the same time so family style ordering works best here.Really nice table settings glassware give a more authentic feel.The interior decor and vibe are way more elegant than I was expecting, and maybe even a little bit excessive and trying too hard.I went on a Saturday at 6 and the place started to have a little bit of a line by 645.This place will do great business especially for the location. A handful of couples and a lot of families.

Food was really good. The taste was very authentic. Service was pretty quick given it was a holiday and pretty packed. They have also spent some good time in creating a good ambiance with pretty interiors.Highly recommend!

Fantastic menu. Very beautiful decor. Friendly server. Very very crowded. The service was fast once seated. Long wait to get seated. We will surely revisit

What a lovely place. A much needed high quality restaurant in Fremont. The decor here is outstanding. Attention to detail is commendable with beautiful cutlery and tableware. The owner and most of the staff here are friendly. It might take a little longer for orders and check but since it's a new place and in high demand that's very understandable. Once you place an order, food arrives quite quickly though. Their menu is expansive, you will get variety from Indo-chinese, North Indian to South Indian and also some fusion dishes. We had mnchow soup, Dabeli, Vegetarian Sizzler and Cheese Dosa. Everything was tasty. Rates are pretty reasonable. We will definitely be coming back here again.

I wish I can give this place more stars since the food was actually good but dropping stars due to the service. I called 30 minutes prior to arriving to see if they take reservations. I was told no but there was no wait. Once I arrived my dad informed me there is a 40 minute wait but he gave his phone number. Since this place is in the Hub the fam just walked around. After about 25 minutes my dad said the table was ready. I got there before my dad and once I gave the host our name he was super rude and said he called us multiple times. I said I'm pretty sure not since my dad never misses a call. He then proceeds to tell us our table number and randomly waves where it is. I literally had to ask what direction it's in as the place was packed so not even taking us to the table was super weird. Once my dad arrived I confirmed that he only got a call and one text which he responded to right away. Once we got seated the waitress and serving staff was nice. For food we ordered the Hakka noodles spicy, chicken tikka, vada pav, Chana masala, garlic naan and the sizzling lava cake dessert. The food was definitely good. My brother ordered a Thums Up and asked me to try it since he thought the taste was off. I tried it and realized it definitely isn't Thums Up but a fake off brand. We checked the back of the can as well since Thums Up is owed my Coca Cola. No where on the can did it show that. I wish they just advertised cola instead a brand name, definitely false advertising. Also huge crowds waiting outside to just hear there name, hopefully they can invest in a Yelp reservations or something to better help customers rather than the old fashioned pen and paper with a name on it. I would like to be back but they need to have another person manage the front as he was awfully rude. Sad that I think he was the owner.

The menu was very tempting and elaborate, service was good too. But the food was quite disappointing the spice level was too high. I would have understood if the food was spicy and tasty but what we ordered was medium spice it had no taste and only spice .All of us had stomach burns . It was quite disappointing and way too expensive.. very disappointing

If you're looking for authentic Indian food this place is well worth the visit. There is a lot here worth unpacking and plenty of good options for food on the menu to enjoy.
