Well deserved 5 star restaurant. You can't go wrong with Chicken Tikka masala and lamb biryani. We enjoyed everything, the food and the service.

TLDR: delicious food, perfect for a quick after a long day at work. We've been here quite a few times. Once to sit down and several pick ups. Food has always been hot, delicious and comforting. I've tried their momos (tandoori, tikka sauce, spicy sauce etc), their noodles and fried (fry) rice. Every order includes a momo, as it must :) The place is nice and clean, the servers are welcoming. They make pick ups seamless. Nice to have a tried and tested place in the heart of downtown San Mateo !

Glad to see that this place has been consistently maintaining the deliciousness of the dishes. I love their paneer tandoori momos--crispy, smoky, and full of flavor.Friendly staffs.Not a fan of the ambiance, as it is more like a fast-casual restaurant however the place itself is spacious and clean.

Was looking for a spot in San Mateo to meet up with South bay friends from SF and this was around halfway - found it through Yelp of course. Lots of great options, and so many different styles of momos! We loved everything, so many good veggie options too.We tried to the tandoori momos and tikka masala (I liked the tikka masala one more) but tandoori comes sizzling! Def recommend getting diff options to try...Chow mein was great and aloo gobi was solid too. Ambiance is pretty casual, service was good.

Good service and kind people. Not crowded, maybe two or three other tables were seated. Lamb tandoori - 3/5, lamb with onions and veggies cooked on top. The lamb had a good grilled flavor, but was a bit on the tougher side. The veggies were good thoughChicken momo tandoori - 4/5, chicken dumpling with veggies on top. Good flavor with a meaty filling. The veggies on top, again, were good. Probably my favorite part of these dishes hahaCoconut chicken curry - 4.5/5, super tender chicken in a flavorful curry. The curry was not as creamy as I thought it would be, but it was still nice and thick. Not as heavy as butter chicken or tikka masala. Yum!Garlic naan - 4.5/5, garlic naan. Yum!!Gobi manchurian - 1/5, battered and fried cauliflower in a sweet, sour, spicy sauce. We were feeling adventurous and decided to try something different, but I guess it just wasn't for us. The batter was pretty thick, so some pieces seemed to be all batter. Cauliflower inside was tender.

This place was pretty good! The menu was a lot larger than I was expecting. There were plenty of items beyond momos. I love Indian curries so I want to come back and try those too.We tried a bunch of momos and I thought all of them were tasty. I don't really remember one that I disliked. They are all rather large and juicy. Some of the spicy ones were indeed rather spicy but some didn't really have too much heat. I even got to try the dumplings sitting in soup (jhol) but I actually felt like the other dumplings were a bit better especially with the tasty side sauce.Service was good and prompt. They left us with glass carafes of water which I appreciated.

The momos here are so delicious. The tiki masala veggie momos are my favorite. They are juicy and full of flavor. It is best to get them fresh or eat them right away if you get takeout. I took away a star because they have messed up on my to go orders twice so far.

It's been a while since I've tried something entirely new. I've seen these types of dumplings before but I wasn't prepared for how mind blowing they were. The momos has so much flavor in one bite. The skillet momos were especially delicious. The bottom crisped up and I like the onions along with it. The other dish we had was the lychee paneer. This dish was so good! The sweetness from the lychee complimented the sauce so well. The lychee paneer is a must try vegetarian dish.

Food (5/5 stars):If you're looking for good Indian-Nepali food in the Bay Area, I recommend Samikcha Momo in San Mateo! This was my first time trying momo and I loved it. I preferred the Tikka Masala momo over the Chili one because the sauce was creamy and packed with flavor. Great service and delicious food! One of the very few restaurants that are open till late night (around 11 pm) !
