First time dining in at this place that replaces a previous Chinese Vietnamese restaurant that we used to frequent. It's almost like a ghost kitchen in the sense that they have Japanese food (Sachi sushi) and dim sum (Yue Club) operating under a joint name of Saga Kitchen. The sashimi was alright, though they gave us a bonus of a tuna belly which was delicious. Sabro plate - ground beef and scrambled egg was not what we were looking for. The ground beef lacked any taste as it felt like straight up ground beef. So not something we would order again. Got it with Ebi tempura but it tasted like those frozen shrimp tempura - know it since I have taste palate that has allowed me to differentiate them, and food sensitivity to also differentiate fresh water from salt water shrimp - theirs is certainly fresh water. Char shu ramen was delicious. Noodles had a slight chewy texture and the soup was tasty. The charshu, and poached eggs were right on and delicious. Tonkatsu was ok. A little on the drier side compared to our favorite Tonkatsu places. The cool robot food runner was fun and entertaining for the kids. The fabric seats were discomforting as there's just so much stains on it that it felt nasty seating on it - we changed immediately when we got home. But the lights and overall decoration was alright. Though our kids were a little whiny about the supreme bears that looked grumpy.

You get what you pay for when it comes to sushi. High quality fresh seafood is not cheap... And this place does not serve high quality seafood. It took almost 30 minutes to get our food in an empty restaurant. The rice was cold and was very bland. You can make better sushi rice at home on your first attempt by following recipes online. The fish had a strong seafood taste and was not enjoyable.I can't speak for anything else on the menu but don't come here for the sushi if you want quality sushi. There are better spots in Alameda.I was hoping this place would satisfy my sushi craving but I had to wash my mouth out with some ice cream after.Nice decor in the restaurant though.

I loved that they have the pan seared bun with chicken because my friend can not eat pork and usually those buns are made with pork! Loved the sushi! The robot server was really cute too!

Like most of the boxes from Saga Kitchen, Sachi Sushi has a fantastic takeout box and because of that the food transports well. That day we picked it up they have told us that the fish was just brought in that day as well. The hamachi, scallops, uni and salmon were especially good. Everything was very fresh! They have so many options in their menu but getting the omakase set and kaisen don will make you try all the available fish! Definitely a must try! What we ordered: Omakase Sushi Set, Special Kaisen Don

Overall: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Value: 5/5TLDR; hidden gem in Alameda! Fresh sashimi for a reasonable cost! Love the sustainable packaging too! ~~~~Sachi Sushi one of the restaurants part of Saga Kitchen. If you download their app or go to their website, first time users will receive 20% off their first 5 orders with the code "Saga". You placed your order online and select what time you'd like to pick-up. The Special Keisen Don has an assortment of fresh sashimi and also looks beautiful. It's $32.95 ($26.36 after promo code) which is extremely reasonably priced! If you're looking to have a little bit of everything, I'd definitely order this! It the perfect amount for 1 person. Gokiyoi x Saga Sakura Treasure Box is a hand roll kit that includes tuna, Chu-toro, o-toro, salmon, snow crab, and ikura. This was also super fresh and yummy and it's $30 ($24 after promo code).Maybe my favorite sushi place in the Bay Area!

Love the atmosphere of this place. It was hip and chic with plenty of those toys like things that the cool kids like. There's also random merchandises for sale in there. Food were delicious. No need for more confirmation. It was the perfect place for me to celebrate a friend birthday without having to make a reservation. This is like a multiple unit restaurant in one. At the same establishment there is also dim sum, Japanese curry and rameIt might be a little challenging to find parking on the street but it is a safe neighborhood. Parking a block or two away shouldn't be any problem.

Last week, I was at SAGA Kitchen picking up a bowl of noodles from the Slurp Shop. I saw Gilbert making the Nogizaka 1707 Roll for another customer. He was telling me about it, and got me interested. So I decided to order this roll, and it was an awesome experience. The waygu beef melts in your mouth! You taste it, but you don't chew it. The roll, made of "Snow Crab, Avocado, topped with torched A5 Waygu Beef." Is worth the $26 price tag.

Late post. Ordered via SAGA Kitchen app and used code saga for 20% off order. The restaurant is kinda like a ghost kitchen where there are 3 "restaurants" inside. One is a Chinese dim sum restaurant, another is a tonkatsu restaurant and there's Sachi for sushi. You go inside and let them know you are there for pickup and there's a retro arcade on the wall and a little shelf area with some random things for sale. No indoor dining but there are some tables outside. The sushi packaging is super cute. The tray is compostable but very flimsy, so be careful! I ordered a omakase sushi and a treasure box. The fish was very fresh, definitely a few steps up from Sushi House. I loved the kobe that was lightly charred and is super smoky as well as the nigiri that is next to it. Not sure what fish it is, but it's super smoky as well. The treasure box is fun to eat as well, it comes with some nori so you can make your own sushi like a taco. Overall, great quality but definitely on the pricey side, so not something you can get all the time but would be a great treat dinner every once in awhile.
