We arrived for a Friday lunch celebrating our daughter's college graduation. Parking was only available either through street parking or the parking garage across the street. The Italian hotspot, Rollati Ristorante is located in downtown San Jose in a fairly nice area across the City Hall. As soon as you walk in, there was an upscale and lavish vibe going on. The modern stylish decor definitely stood out. Since we had a large party, we were seated in a private area away from the other room full of tables. It was nice in that side of the room as it was less noisy and cluttered. I ordered a three course meal that was a great deal. First the Caesar salad was very tasty. I love Caesar salads and this one did not disappoint. Next I enjoyed the Rigatoni Alla Vodka pasta. You can just taste the freshness of the homemade pasta. Lastly for dessert the mini cannoli was sweet and savory. We were sharing each other's foods and everything was delicious. The staff was very friendly and attentive throughout the lunch. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Rollati Ristorante especially for a special occasion. If we happen to be in the area and we're craving Italian food, we'll be back for sure.

We really enjoyed our weekend brunch here wit the cool kid vibes. What we ordered: black manhattan, old fashioned, garlic bread, antipasto, spicy pie. We loved the antipasto and at $19 it's a fair portion for the price. The pizza ($24) was good, if a little greasy. I'd skip the garlic bread ($12) next time, even though it's Acme bread, my favorite. The service was friendly and efficient and well- paced.

Came here on a Monday night just for disappointment after disappointment. We came in and were settled, only to wait for about 30 minutes while waiters walked back and forth, getting the tables ready for the next day. There were only three other tables with customers and about three waiters who just kept asking whose table we were. Finally, someone came with water and was ready to take our order.Truffled Fried Mozzarella ($16): For six pieces of mozzarella, it's not worth it. I wouldn't be surprised if these were frozen and they just added a bit of truffle on top.Meatball Pomodoro Bucatini ($26): This was more of a soup than meatball pasta. Why was it so watery?! They were stingy with the meatballs too. It lacked flavor and was too saucy. (2/10)"Thousand" Layer Lasagna ($30): The lasagna was well-cooked with a Ragù sauce. The beef lacked flavor and was slightly overcooked. (5/10)Overall, not impressed. There are better Italian restaurants out there in the same price range.

Really good Italian food, nothing I ate was a bad bite. The restaurant is nice and spacious and food feels upscale yet homey. Large portions too and definitely high quality food. Will definitely be back

Where do I start. Ordered some drinks and a pizza (spicy pie) and got a pizza that was drenched in hot honey to a point where you tasted nothing but honey. Although the dough was good and I do feel like the pizza could have been better if they didn't put so much honey on it. I'll be back for it but I'll probably request the honey on the side.Ranch. Why is ranch so expensive?? I get that it's made in house but I don't think it should be that much.Overall the experience was ok. I'd be back but probably when the menu changes again or if they bring back the old menu.. (Hint. Hint.)

I had dinner here with a few friends on a Friday night and we had the best time! We have been trying to eat here for a while but they're usually booked at least a week in advance for indoor seating. During our visit it was busyyyyy! We even had to wait approx 10 mins for our table even with a reservation. Shout out to our waitress, Adylene! She was really friendly and professional. She knew from our online reservation that we were there for a birthday, she asked about everyone's dietary restrictions and preferences, and more :-). I was pleasantly surprised by the price point of all the food. For how beautiful the restaurant is and its location, they serve great quality food for a reasonable price IMO. My friend and I shared the chicken picatta and the spicy pie. Both delicious!! The chicken picatta was a great portion and the mashed potatoes were fluffy and so flavorful. The spicy pie was loaded with crispy curly pepperoni and the crust was pillowy soft. Then the birthday girl got served a complimentary pistachio cannoli. Just the right amount of sweet. Perfect was to end the night.

Came in Valentine's day lunch because I saw they have special 3 course prix fixe for $65/person all day in OpenTable but when we arrived, was told that it's only for dinner and the chef wasn't willing to accommodate doing it for lunch. Pizza oven wasn't working either so were only left with rigatoni, lasagna, sandwich & burger from lunch menu, which was just significantly trimmed down this week. For some reason, they're willing to offer stuffed branzino and truffled fried mozzarella from dinner menu so we ordered the branzino and rigatoni with meatballs + crispy brussel sprouts. The branzino was super crispy but the sauce kinda ruined the bottom skin crispiness so maybe next time ask for sauce on the side :p Brussel sprouts are also good but the rigatoni is just alright. Also wish the tiramisu we had for dessert have rum for a bit more kick. Tips: You can park at 4th street garage across the street which is free for first 90min

I was pleasantly surprised by my positive experience here. Came with a group of 6 and made reservations online ahead of time.Familiar with the parking lot that was here before, I had low expectations for this new flashy and trendy joint to join DTSJ dining. However, the food was all very tasty, the vibe was nice and the service was pleasant.I ordered the "thousand layer" lasagna which was very good. It was uniquely made and had a nice crust on the top.Even though they were a little small, I liked the crab cakes and mushroom arancini. Both were flavorful.Although it was fun to look at, I don't think the Aperol cocktail towers are worth it. Might as well just order the spritz as a regular cocktail.PARKING: I recommend the ParkSJ lot on 4th and St John. Super close to the restaurant.OVERALL: Although on the pricer end, I would say Rollati is a fun choice for a special night out in downtown.

Came here to celebrate my mom & sister's birthday & WOW!! 10/10 food was amazing, drinks delicious, beautiful interior, & our server was the best. She recommended the vodka pasta & it was by far the best pasta I've ever had. My family already can't wait to come back for round 2.

- thousand layer lasagna: 3/5 - not anything special, flavor was good but a lot of cheese and wouldn't get again but it wasn't bad! just average :)- fritto misto: 2/5 - wasn't great and not comparable to other places because it tasted frozen and not fresh and the batter crumbled very easily, but would not get again :)- rigatoni alla vodka: 2.5/5 - not very memorable, it wasn't bad! but i would not get againoverrall: kinda disappointed i apologize i rly wanted to like this place truly, because the menu looked so appealing, but it just wasn't for me, maybe it could be different for you! i like italian a lot and have been to a lot of average to delicious ones, and this unfortunately didnt hit today. however, service and staff were extremely helpful and kind, and ambiance was perfect low lit, not too bright, and spacious inside. maybe i'll try again another time to try different things :)
