Best fries ever! The staff and service is fantastic. Big fan of the vegetarian options too! The indoor/outdoor options are so comfy! Great place to bring dogs and kids!

Beautiful bar/lounge and restaurant. Live music was a nice surprise. Wonderful outdoor seating that's dog friendly. Well decorated both inside and out. I enjoyed the patio area with fire pits. Heat lamps are also available if you choose to dine at one of their outdoor tables. The food was pretty good. Loved their Brussel sprouts and broccolini appetizers. They were sweet and tangy at the same time; Asian inspired sauce that was very flavorful. Cheeseburger was very good and I enjoyed their salad as well. Wonderful service. Ample parking in their garage which is free for the first 3 hours.

(Mountain View) Food: (7.9/10) Fried chicken sandwich- breaded chicken breast, pickled onion, cabbage + zhoug slaw, kewpie, brioche bun. Chicken was nicely cooked but overall sandwich lacked flavor. The bottom half of the bread also got soggy really quick and was falling apart. The presentation looked great but for what the price is without any side that comes with the meal, not really worth it. SALMON (8/10)- caramelized cauliflower puree, tobiko-dashi emulsion. Salmon was cooked well but nothing special about it. The CC puree and the sauce were tasty and went well with the salmonGARLIC FRIES (8.3/10)- garlic aioli, parmesan cheese, herbs. I would have given this a high 9 if the potatoes were crispier with a little bit more garlic. The flavor was there and the presentation looks great. It's just a lot of the fries were a little soggy Setting: Bar/Lounge, Beer, Beer Garden, Cocktails, Corkage Fee, Counter Seating, Entertainment, Full Bar, Gluten-free Options, Happy Hour, Indoor Fireplace, Non-Smoking, Outdoor Firepit, Patio/Outdoor Dining, Patio/Outdoor Dining, Private Room, Takeout, VeganLive music Fridays and Saturdays Hours of operationBrunch Sat, Sun 10:00 am-2:00 pm Bar Mon-Fri 4:00 pm-10:00 pm Sat 10:00 am-10:00 pm Sun 10:00 am-9:00 pm Happy Hour Daily 4:00 pm-6:00 pm Dinner Mon-Sat 5:00 pm-9:00 pmService: service was amazing. Our server was attentive, answered all our questions, and gave us whatever request we have at a timely manner. The overall staff were also kind even walked us to where the restrooms were when we asked for the locationPrice: the place is expensive and a bit overpriced for the quality of food. Presentation of the food was aesthetically pleasing and was not a long wait to get the food. I would go here more for the ambiance than the food itself Parking: Parking Garage: Roger guests receive three free hours validation. $10 after three hours, $20 for overnight hotel guests.

Parking $10/hr at the structure! Ridiculous pricing! First 3 hours is free but I stay longer. Food is ok.Appetizers are good. Do order cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, deep fried mushrooms. No not order their fries. Not skinny fries more like rounds of thick cut potato. Entree are not good. Short rib is dry. Fish is fishy. Ambience is good with live music.

Highlight for me is $1/person cake cutting fee! Love it! This is a restaurant inside a hotel and because it's in Mountain View but not the busy commercial area, this is more for group gathering and plan to gather for a bit if you use this location. Saturday night has live music and it's still casual to chat. We are a party of five, came for a quiet birthday gathering. I found the menu seasonal but too few choices for large parties, which means there are repeating orders. We had 2 short ribs order and 1 halibut. They are all just ok. The fish is a bit overcooked because the filet is too thin, the short ribs are a bit dry and to complement it they have a separate bottle of sauce on the side. The "snacks" have more varieties. I was very interested in the fried Maitake mushroom but the spice on it made it tasted a bit weird. The brussel sprouts are good, the caesar salad is good, the garlic fries is not fries size but slides of potato wedges (I think it's good to stuff up big tummies, but for a group of girls this is not very essential). The cauliflower is good but it's a few big pieces, I think they could cut it a bit more to make it more sharable. We also tried their bottle of Sarah's Vineyard pinot called "Dwarf Oak" from Santa Clara Valley. It's not as thin as a regular pinot and tasted very fruity and easy to drink. Service is ok, we got checked on a few times but we had to remind our waitress to refill water and the dirty plates and wine bottle were not promptly taken away. They have a backyard with a very huge and burning warm pit fire. With an olive tree next to it, there's a bit of RH rooftop ambience but we opted in door after some picture taking because the fire is too ferotious.

Been coming to the Roger Bar & Restaurant for years and it never disappoints. Whether it's dinner or brunch, Roger Bar & Restaurant hits every time. My two favorite things to eat here are their Cheeseburger and Breakfast Sandwich. However, they have plenty of other delicious options to choose from. They also have great drinks and they put unique twist on traditional cocktails. When we come we usually have a large party and the staff are very accommodating. At times service can be slow, but it's never been a really big issue for me. Looking forward to coming to the Roger Bar & Restaurant again and I certainly recommend!

Roger Bar & Restaurant is a cozy spot with a great brunch menu. I tried the Eggs Benedict, and it was perfectly executed - the poached eggs were just right, the hollandaise sauce was smooth and flavorful, and it came with a side that rounded out the meal. Friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere made the experience even better. Definitely worth a visit!

We have staycationed at Ameswell twice and eaten at Roger both times. I really like the restaurant, and my husband and I were just saying we should come back even when we aren't staying at the hotel. It's one of the most family friendly restaurants I have been to, but to make it even better the food and drinks are great as well. The atmosphere is very relaxed and because the restaurant is indoor-outdoor, kids can easily go back and forth between the table and grassy area (with cornhole, giant Jenga, giant Connect Four). On our recent visit, we ordered 2 kids meals. The butter pasta was good but cooked al dente so it was a little firm for our 1-year-old (but perfectly fine for our older daughter). The fruit salad had strawberries and blackberries which was great - it wasn't just melon! The pizza is more like a flatbread than a traditional pizza just FYI and the chocolate chip cookies were really good! I like how the kids drink can be milk, apple juice, lemonade, orange juice, or a Shirley temple. The adults enjoyed the margherita flatbread, berry salad, and skewers. The skewers were actually from the yakitori grill but we brought them back to eat at our table. I think they are only available on the weekends. Be sure to take advantage of the happy hour. It's 4-6pm even on weekends and drinks were 20% off when we went. Service is friendly and food comes out fairly quickly. 5 stars all the way!

Modern, clean bar and restaurant located inside the Ameswell Hotel and a great spot for date night. There's plenty of parking and I highly recommend getting seated outdoors, especially now that the weather is warm. When my boyfriend and I went, it was extremely windy outside so we opted for a booth inside. We started with the fries and shishito peppers to go with our cocktails. The fries were so crispy and the shishito peppers came with this sauce that I was basically licking off the plate. The server made sure we got our appetizers first so we can have something to nibble on with our drinks, which I appreciated. We decided to share fish & chips and chicken schnitzel for our main and the tartar sauce was divine! Lots of herbs and the fish was perfectly seasoned and thick. The schnitzel was interesting and the batter for it had panko and seeds so it had a nice, crispy texture. This spot is good for drinks and bites and I loved how clean everything was. Service was prompt and nice, and I'd love to come back to enjoy their huge outdoor area.

Roger Bar at the Ameswell Hotel boasts a cool setup - indoor/outdoor seating, self-serve ordering, and even lawn games! It "seemed perfect" for our large group of 23. Here's the breakdown:**The Good**Appetizers: The hummus and cheese plate were delicious! The lavash bread with the hummus was perfectly seasoned, and the sweet and fruity crackers on the cheese board were a delightful surprise.Drinks: The tierra madre mezcal cocktail was a standout - smoky and salty in the best way. The blueberry fizz mocktail was a sweet and refreshing option for non-drinkers.Service Speed: Our food came out quickly, which is impressive for a big group.Free Parking: Free parking for the first 3 hours in the hotel garage is a plus.**The Bad**Service Attentiveness: While the food came out fast, the drink service was a total mess. Several people in our group ordered drinks multiple times and never received them, despite getting assurances from the server. Fries: The salt-roasted fries were a bit dry, and the portions of sauce were way too small. The Ahi Tuna Incident: This one's a biggie. My seared ahi tuna tasted off, and after two bites, I became violently ill (had to rush to the restroom to puke). The dish itself lacked flavor. It was not a great experience.Overall:This place had the potential to be a great spot for a group gathering. The appetizers were tasty, drinks were good, and the contactless ordering was a neat idea. However, the service issues and the unfortunate tuna incident really brought down the experience. If they can tighten up on service and ensure fresh seafood, I might consider giving Roger another shot, but for now, it's a 2-star experience.
