After a disappointing dinner elsewhere, we were still hungry and in search of something satisfying. While driving, I spotted this place and decided to stop in. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted and informed that the kitchen would close in 15 minutes. I quickly asked if we could sit at the bar for a drink and order a loaded salad--even if it was to go--and they happily agreed. The cocktails were delicious, and the bartender was both friendly and impressively knowledgeable about the menu. When my salad arrived, we were invited to enjoy it at the restaurant as they began cleaning up for the night. We spent a pleasant time chatting with the bartender, finishing our drinks and salad before leaving.Overall, it was a delightful experience at a charming spot, and I'd definitely return.

Service was great, friendly/attentive. Came during lunch rush but was able to get a nice corner table. We shared the burrata and Italian chop salad. Both were "okay"...room for improvement but flavors were spot on. 5* for service and ambiance...the tables around us ordered pizza which looked fabulous..will def try again if I'm in the area. P.s. the basque cheesecake should not be missed, the recipe is spot on...light and creamy, perfect "burnt" top...must try!

Our experience was filled with laughs, delicious food, and great drinks!!I highly recommend the burrata pesto app, it is the best starter as well as the meatballs- super shareable. The broccolini and mashed potatoes are my go-to sides here and the chimichurri sauce pairs seamlessly with the chicken and salmon! The woodire margarita is perfect if you like a twist of mezcal with your tequila. We've always had great service at all locations but Gerardo at the Rivermark plaza was exceptional and made our family night that much better. He was more than attentive and very pleasant to be around. Atmosphere is great for family as well business and social gatherings!

Watched as Piati went out and this place was being constructed. There are so many new places and when I got a coupon in the mail for a $5 Margarita pizza, had to try it. Nothing on their website speaks to a happy hour menu (3-6). Had I not gotten the pizza, I would have went with wings. Ordered the HH Old Fashioned it was good. The pizza was very good! Enough for two, I got to pack the rest for lunch. One slight disappointment is that do not give military discounts. Place was bright and cheery! I will be back.

I absolutely love the interior of this place. When you see pizza it doesn't usually say Rotisserie and the inside usually looks like a bar hang out. This place stepped it up. It has the most welcoming and beautiful decor I've seen in a pizza place. I decided to dine at the bar as I was dining alone for work and was staying practically next door to this place.I had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious salad and the burrata and fruit plate. I wanted something light but I LOVE BURRATA! These were both perfect choices and still felt fairly light. The bar keep was always there to fill my glass and make sure everything was delicious. All 5 stars, can't wish to dine here again! Prices are really good for the quality and what you get portion wise.

Eyes on the RiseThe sister restaurant to Burlingame's Rise Pizzeria, Rise Woodfire is a mom-and-pop done good story. It all began with by a local couple who had a passion for making pies the proper way, using a wood-fired oven. Housed in the former Piatta Italian location, they've renovated it from white tablecloth Italian, to a rustic local neighborhood joint that just happens to sling wood-fired pizzas and also happens to have a killer bar. This The Good:*Reservations via OpenTable *Great service*Not only do they use their wood oven for Pizzas, but they also use it to cook several other items like Prime Rib and Beef Ribs--both of which aren't available until after 4 p.m. Next time, Gadget!*Full bar with local craft brews on-tap*Grass-fed Beef Meatball app was superb. The marinara was delicious and the meatballs were cooked to perfection. *Pizza was delicious. The dough had a nice chew, the ingredients were distributed well, and the crust had a nice char from the oven. They make a damn fine pie. *I don't recall much about the Kazbah bowl other than Carissa enjoyed it. I'd ask her for more details but she's hurrying me along right now so we can eat dinner. (:The Meh:*No outdoor seating for the time being but it looks like it's in the works. *Located in a large outdoor shopping center so there's plenty of parking abound, but this center can get quite busy and turn parking into "quite the tenses." If you don't mind walking, I recommend parking by the library/park. The Ugly:*They don't have a BYOP (Build-Your-Own-Pizza) option on the menu, so if you're building a pie for a picky teenager then you have to pick one of their presets that has the closest toppings and then add and subtract accordingly. But, as it's SoP in her pizza world, taking off an ingredient doesn't save you money but adding them on will cost you. And adding on a few things can inflate the price of the pizza well-over 50% very quickly. Conclusion: Tasty pies in a great ambiance. I'll be back for the Prime Rib! :)

Good to see the old Piatti's location being replaced with another good restaurant in the neighborhood. We have tried Rise a few times since it opened and have enjoyed the food and friendly service. The pizzas are tasty but our favorite dish so far are the meatballs. The drinks are good too. We've come without a reservation on weeknight evenings and are always seated right away. You can also sit at the bar if there is a wait for a table. We'll be back since we live close by.

I'm not a huge pizza person but I crave this place specifically because of their funghi pizza. Highly recommend adding truffle oil on the pizza. It's sooooo good. The Caesar salad was good but I wish the croutons were crunchier. That's just my personal preference but my boyfriend and his friend liked it. The Parmesan truffle fries are always a good appetizer to share. There is another location is San Mateo. I think this location has a nicer interior. Service is good and efficient.

Came on a Sunday afternoon, service was great. The menu had a nice variety. We ordered family style so everyone could share. The chicken wings were very meaty. The pizza extra cheesy, the bottoms were a little burnt though. Cocktails were refreshing and just right amount of alcohol and flavor. It's a very open restaurant but a bit chilly.

I came here with a friend for lunch. It was my first time and I was looking forward to trying this fairly new restaurant. I love that their menu is centered around their wood fired oven. Before I arrived, my buddy ordered the melon, prosciutto, burratta, and toasted bread appetizer. It was good, but I wouldn't have ordered this appetizer for a wood oven focused restaurant. It was fresh, healthy, and better for me than what I would have ordered. For my entree, I ordered the French dip sandwich with charred jalapenos added. The French roll was fresh very large, which made for a big sandwich. Normally this would be a blessing if the slices of prime rib were in the same proportion as the French roll...but sadly it wasn't. I opened the sandwich and said, 'Where's the beef?' They were also very stingy with the au jus. I loved the oversized bowl the au jus was served in, but that au jus just covered the bottom of the bowl. I had to ask for more au jus just to finish half of my bread sandwich. The fries that accompanied the sandwich were crispy and well seasoned...this was my favorite part of the meal. With the added charred jalapenos, this was a $30 sandwich with fries. I'm glad my buddy bought lunch. The decor and design of this restaurant make it ideal for a business lunch. The restaurant was pretty empty, so I'm worried another restaurant in this building might not make it. Although my first time was underwhelming, I would come back to try their pizza and rotisserie chicken...and definitely have a side of those French fries. I hope Rise can get this right and make a successful restaurant.
