Pocket Sushi

Came to this spot since I happened to be working nearby and had a craving for something healthy like Japanese food, but was on a time crunch. Ordered a sushi burrito to go and man I wish I had ordered two! The cute little shop was warm and cozy, staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was prepared within 5 minutes, fresh to go, and the smells were so good. As soon as I hopped into my truck, I took a bite before hitting the road... and MAN it was so damn tasty!!! No extra sauce or toppings needed, it had all the umami flavors you could ask for. I forget off the top of my head which one I got, but I could imagine every choice on their menu is just as good. If you're looking for a quick bite with some sushi delight, check this pocket sushi place out!Also, wish I took a photo, but I couldn't bc I was indulging myself in the tasty goodness the little pocket sushi was offering.

Had a craving for sushi and wanted something a little different than the usual. We saw a social media ad for Pocket Sushi and decided to look it up on Yelp. Yelpers said it was good so we decided to try. We arrived and there were no customers. We were the only ones there with 5 staff members inside. We were helped very quickly and the staff was friendly, answering all our questions. I was pretty hungry so I asked how large the servings were. We were told they were the size of a hamburger. Because of that explanation, I only ordered one for myself. In all, we ordered the California, Lion King, Osaka fries, edamame and miso soup to go. Our order was ready in around 10-15 minutes. Given we were the only ones there, it felt like a long time.We took our food home and of course I had to take a picture of the main food. The presentation was good. The fries were very tasty with the sauce drizzled on top. I was a little disappointed in the size of the sushi. This was not the size of a hamburger, but rather a little smaller. My order, The Lion King, was actually a little bit on the cold side. I understand food cooling down on the ride home, but it was only 10 minutes. That just gets me to believe it wasn't really hot when it was prepared. The flavor of the lion King was OK. I think it was overshadowed with the cooler temperature of the pocket sushi. The miso soup wasn't piping hot and edamame needed salt. Overall, this experience was just OK. Not sure I would come back here often, but maybe they will see this review and prep their sushi a little bit differently next time.

I dooo enjoy me some pocket sushi for lunch! I work down the street so when I'm hankering for sushi I hit up pocket sushi!! The wraps are a good size and reasonable price. When you go to a japanaese sushi restaurant the usual dragon rolls or special rolls is already $14+ easily and here at Pocket Sushi you pay around the same amount but I feel like the sushirito is more substantial. They have the usual popular types of rolls such as California, dragon, red dragon, lion king, etc.. they also have some decent appetizers options. The popcorn chicken and their special fries is tasty!! It's quick and yummy!

One of my favorite quick food options to get in the East Bay Area! Pocket Sushi reminds me of my trips I would take all the way to the city in high school to get sushi burritos only to now have a restaurant just minutes away from where I live.I love getting the Red Dragon here because I just love my food with some crunch in it. In my opinion, it's like a 2/10 in terms of spiciness. Most of this comes from the spicy tuna as opposed to the sriracha mayo. Only con I would say is that I wish they had a website up and running to put down orders. As of right now you still have to order inside at the counter or call in for your order. I'm hoping this will be up and running soon for easier ordering convenience!

Still come here and still love it! I seriously considered moving to Pleasanton just to be closer to Pocket Sushi. The staffs were friendly, the food came out fast and is delicious. What's more to ask for?100/10 recommended!

The sushi was very fresh and delicious. We tried the Dragon and Red Dragon, both were yummy with generous amount of ingredients. We also ordered the popcorn chicken with spicy mayo. While the sushi was great, the chicken was just average and under seasoned. The staff was friendly and accommodating, especially considering it was near the close of business. I'll definitely return to explore other menu options.

Tried Pocket Sushi on recommendation from a friend, and had a great meal. First off, this was a Friday evening, so it was a little busy, but we were still able to get a table pretty quickly. On to the food! I'd tried a sushi style burrito in the past from a different place, and their version had a seaweed layer on the outer. Pocket Sushi has a layer of rice on the outer. Which one do I like better? I'm not sure, I like them both, lol! I ordered the Red Dragon signature, and it was yummy! The spicy tuna, avocado, and all the other ingredients were tasty and fresh. The service was great, and the ambiance was upbeat. I'd definitely try this place again.

Came here for lunch and it wasn't busy. I ordered a make your own roll with salmon and unagi as well as a miso soup. It was really fresh and there was avocado in it as well which was nice! I just wish the pieces of protein were a bit bigger. The miso soup was served in a coffee cup which was unique but it was super easy to drink from.

A friend recommended me this restaurant to try in Pleasanton. This was rated one of the best sushi in the city. It did not disappoint. The service was very nice and welcoming. Staff were really polite and gave me many recommendations to try. The service was good and super friendly. The ambiance was really nice, the restaurant was very neat and clean right when I stepped inside. The menu they had were super simple and easy to follow. The menu was really eye pleasing, very colorful and artistic. The food was really good and the quality of the fish was good as well. I ordered the Lion King Pocket Sushi. It was one of their signature pocket sushi. It was very delicious. The food look very aesthetic and pleasing to the eyes. Overall the food was amazing and the atmosphere was great.Overall I rate this restaurant a 4/5 star review. Definitely will be back to try other signature items. If you like sushi and want something that is quick and easy to eat this is the place to be. Pocket Sushi is Asian style burrito, very good. Huge shoutout to the staff working, they were very welcoming and were patient with me and my friends of ordering our food.
