Pick-A-Deli

Fast and great service with friendly staff. A bit expensive but the food was good so I bought a ended up buying a second one :) 8.5/10

I recently stopped by this place and grabbed some coffee. I was pleased how the place had changed, and has improved it's service and menu items. I have worked in the Hayward Business Park for over 20 years, and this place was here when I started! Back then, there were only a few places to get food and Pick-A-Deli's prices were high! I think I paid close to $10 for a tuna sandwich and a bottle of milk. That experience taught me a lesson, always pack a lunch. Now, those prices are reasonable. Because now they have competition from a 7-11, a Sushi place, a Pizza place, roast chicken, Subway, and a Starbucks.But what was true 20 yrs ago, is still true today.....Pick-A-Deli is a convenient place to grab a sandwich and drink if you don't want to drive somewhere and wait. Thousands of hard working people work in the Hayward Business Park, and nobody likes sitting in traffic trying to get a meal near Southland Mall or at Jack in the Box. Located near Cabot Blvd x Depot Rd, free parking.

Chicken Salad Sandwich and Baked Potato Soup is delicious. Really enjoyed the food and the amount of food provided is enough for more than 1 meal.

Pick-A-Deli is easily the best deli in the area! Their sandwich selection is great and of very high quality. They also have nice daily specials that you can choose from. The service here is great and you can feel the love that they put into preparing your food. I've met the owners a couple of times and I can honestly say that they are some of the nicest people that you'll ever meet. They always ask how I'm doing. My favorite thing about the deli is the huge beverage selection that they have. As someone who is indecisive about what they want to drink for the day, Pick-A-Deli provides a plethora of options. Definitely stop by to get your sandwich fix. You won't regret it!Update: They now sell tacos!

Favorite Deli Ever! Their hand crafted sandwiches are all made so delicately and generously. I've been coming here for the last 2 years now and it's a bit of a drive for me but I would always make time for it because it's so worth it! The workers there are so nice and gives great recommendations. I may have tried almost everything there but my favorite is pastrami and ham sandwich with lettuce, onion, Mayo, bell paper and jalapeño on a Dutch Crunch! Yum! Make your visit, I promise it's worth it! Not too pricey and sandwich is pretty big..

Great ma/pa place I love their veggie sandwich and veggie burger. Quick service (try to avoid lunch rush), good variety, and prices are definitely reasonable. I'll definitely be back again and again to support a good local business :)

Every time I come here there's always something missing or wrong with my order. Whether it's missing bacon or fries. Then they make a big deal about making sure I got charged for it. The food itself is OK but not worth the price and trouble of asking to have my order corrected. I try not to come here, but being a truck driver, I don't have a lot of options if I want a hot meal

I usually write extensive reviews for places I really like, but all I can really say is I love you pick-a-deli. If you like Ike's or Mr Pickle, you might as well take a dump, not wash your hands, then make a sandwich with expired deli meat, moldy cheese, and stale bread without condiments because that's what they offer compared to the premium quality sandwiches Pick-a-Deli provides. From the generous portions of the massive super club to the perfect saurkraut distribution in a reuben on dark rye, there is no other deli in the area that can compete. If you like regular sandwiches take your butt to subway because this place makes sandwiches for people who actually love great sandwiches. TL;DR - these sandwiches are bomb af, better than everywhere else, and made with love.Also I lied, this ended up pretty extensive.

I had their breakfast special it was delicious! Fair prices, great service and very friendly staff.

Old bread, roast beef was pretty much 50% fat. Not even close to worth the money and when you go to pay the guy points down at the tip options and tells you to pick one, pushing you to give them a tip. Terrible place, never again.
