We needed a quick dinner spot and stumbled upon this place in downtown Mountain View. It was a Friday night and it was busy but we didn't have to wait for a table. The interior is pretty spacious.Pho Ga (3/5): This was only ok. The broth had a strong fried shallot flavor which I am not used to in my chicken pho. It only comes with chicken breast which I felt was a bit dry. Noodles were cooked nicely.Overall, I am glad I tried it. Nothing amazing but nothing bad. Service was also okay.

A great casual Vietnamese spot to eat . I was waiting for a friend , server kept checking in either me every 5 minutes which was nice . Lol My friend ordered the seafood pho. Never heard of this and decided to try it out . Seafood Pho it took awhile to come out as mine came out first . They were super nice to gave me another bowl of hot pho . Portion size were huge . Their large could feed 2 people ... Pho broth was decent and heartwarming . Their meat to noodle ratio 2:3 . The burst of the beefy meatballs made me happy . Egg rolls filling had shrimp and pork ? Usual filling is with shrimp but it adds extra texture with the chew. Peanut sauce that went with it was bomb .

We've been here a couple times over the past few years and I'd say it's a pretty good pho spot. ~The Experience~Came here as a group of 2 on a Saturday for dinner and we were seated with no wait. Service was very fast and efficient; staff are pretty friendly too! ~The Food~#9 Rice Noodle Soup with Rare Steak and Beef Meatballs: Good broth, generous portions. The broth was pretty flavorful and very warm. They were also pretty generous with the portions of the meat added in this bowl. I really liked their tender rare steak. I wouldn't say that I'm an expert judge of pho, but I always enjoy their pho and Pho To Chau999 is a pretty reliable choice! Pricing is also pretty decent especially considering the Catsro St location.

I was slightly sick and wanted something soupy for dinner, so we looked on the map and chose this place partially out of curiosity why it's named 999.This place is located in downtown Mountain View right next to Mifen101. I must have walked past it many many times yet have never tried it til now. They have a huge menu with many noodle soups with varying toppings and soup broth. The waiters were attentive and refilled our water quite frequently.We got the grilled chicken spring roll as an appetizer and then two large noodles soups - chicken broth with chicken for me and spicy sweet & sour broth with seafood for him. The chicken broth was really what I needed - something warm and light, not too heavy or oily but healthy. While the spicy sweet & sour was an interesting flavor and had many pieces of shrimp and salmon mixed in with vegetables. Both noodle soups were indeed large and came with a lot of noodles, and we both packed nearly full containers of leftovers to go.

Very good Beef Rib phở, the meat come right out of the bone, so tenders and soft, soup is hot, the spring roll is excellent with the grill pork, they stil take my order when i show up at 8:40pm, 20 mins left stil closing time.... Food come out quick too....

Lots of beefy flavorBroth is FLAVORFUL. But a tad greasy. In terms of meat, filet mignon better than beef rib better than rare steak. Beef rib ratio of tendon/ligament to meat was too high for my taste - would have liked a meatier rib. Noodles and other toppings are fairly vanilla and price is reasonable.

I opted for the 1B (Oxtail Pho), priced at $15.95--a relatively affordable choice. The broth was adequately flavored, but the execution of the proteins fell short. The rare beef was overcooked by the time it reached the table, taking away the signature melt-in-your-mouth texture one expects from properly cooked rare cuts. The oxtail, on the other hand, was tender and fell off the bone easily, which I appreciated. The rice plates and pho are tasty. The service is relatively fast. Would love it if they added Vietnamese Beef Stew.

Went here for dinner since we were craving pho. It was delicious. I just got a regular chicken pho and my friend got this vegetarian dish. Good local spot that we will definitely come back to with quick service.
