Been coming here now for a few years and it's one of our go to when we're craving pho. I love their signature pho with Kobe beef and fresh rice noodles. The broth is delicious, meat is tender and fresh rice noodles are a game changer! Service is quick and at times, it can get busy here. Food comes out pretty fast, too. You just pay at the counter when you're done. They accept cards but you get a discount if you use cash.Parking lot has plenty of spaces but during the weekends, it can get busy at time with grocery shoppers next door. If you're craving some pho or need it cause you're hungover, this is the place to get it!

This place is tucked in a corner of a large plaza. There's a grocery store nearby. I visited on a weekday afternoon and there weren't many parking spots directly in front of the restaurant. The place was clean when I walked in. We sat right away and placed our orders within minutes. I ordered the number one special which has American Kobe beef slices. The broth was good and the flavor was rich. They gave a generous amount of beef in the small size. They have fresh rice noodles which is what I opted for and they had a good chewy texture. The prices per bowl average between $16.50-$18 depending on what you order. I forgot my wallet, but luckily they take Apple Pay.

Visited San Jose and stopped by HMart. I was feeling like pho so checked where the closest pho was and Pho Dao had a really good review so I stopped by. As I entered, I was greeted and ask to sit where I like. It was a simple menu but had no pictures so I just picked a bowl of soup from the menu. I didn't know what comes in it but I chose the Kobe pho. The pho came out and it was overloaded with sliced onion and cilantro. I tasted the soup as I usually do to see how it taste like. Broth was clean, clear and not too oily but it was very bland. No flavor whatsoever. I looked over to the condiments and there was only hoisin, sriracha and I believe salt and pepper. I was quite disappointed. I did not see, soy sauce or chili oil. I was hoping my pho came with tendons, tripe, and meatballs but it didn't. I figure those would be the main ingredients and since I bought one with kobe meat then I thought they would just added it in.I order the large bowl and it was a good size. They did ask what kind of noodles I wanted and I ask for the flat noodles and the noodles was on point. I wonder if this is how they like their broth in San Jose. Where I come from and places that I've ate, I love oily soup cause it has lots more flavoring.

I ordered the large Pho Kobe with fresh noodles and the beef was soft and almost buttery! The soup had a strong beef and umami flavor. Their large felt like a medium and wasn't very big at all. Their fresh noodles are wider than what you're used to in pho. I'm not sure if their fresh noodles are homemade, but I didn't like how they broke easily. They also cook their bean sprouts, so if you don't like that be sure to let them know when you're ordering. The atmosphere is very casual, with a hole in the wall vibe. The service was okay. The waitress seemed annoyed that we asked for a few extra minutes since we were still waiting on someone to arrive.Overall, a good pho place!

The pho is delicious! The fresh thin noodles are soft and not chewey. The meat was very tender almost buttery, not tough like other places. I had the #2 special with all protein options and everything was fresh down to the vegetables for toppings. They are also very generous with the portions! I would definitely recommend coming here!

Food and service was good. Lots of places to sit and overall ambiance was good. Even though it didn't really stand out, there was nothing negative that would make me give it a star less so I'll give it a 5.

Decided to try another Pho restaurant. While the price is higher than usual, the taste is decent. The food here is fairly better than most Typical joints of its kind?On a bonus note, the inside of the restaurant is a neat and modern trendy place.

The pho here is delicious and is currently standing as my fiancee's favorite pho restaurant in San Jose. He normally gets the Signature Pho which serves US Kobe beef. I normally get the bun rieu which I got last time but this time around, I opted for pho as well and got the signature. I did a small bowl and my fiancee got the medium. Size wise they do not look that different but I believe he has a bit more meat and definitely more broth. They offer fresh, dry rice and egg noodles options for the signature pho. I said fresh but didn't realize that meant they were the flat noodles which was fine but something to note if you wanted the regular pho noodles which I think would be the dry rice? Every single time we come here, we were always able to get a seat, there's customers flowing in and out so it never gets packed to the point where you have to wait. They are inside a small plaza so there's a parking lot attached. Two bathrooms in the back, one for women and one for men. The TV is always playing some random movie. Last time we were watching Godzilla. lolPho Dao feels very much like a small mom and pop restaurant but they have a nicely designed logo and the staff even has matching teal shirts with the branding. Not sure if they will ever plan more locations but they certainly have the best looking logo for a pho restaurant imo.

Best Pho and Bun Rieu in the Bay! For Pho, I usually go here or Pho San Jose. What I love about Pho Dao is their broth is savory and their meat is tender. Another big plus is they are one of very few Pho places that offer pickled garlic to go with your Pho. If you do not see it on the table, ask for it because they keep it refrigerated. I typically get Pho Chin Bo Vien (pho with brisket and beef balls). My favorite Vietnamese dish is Bun Rieu. I've tried Bun Rieu from many places in the Bay Area and this place has the best one! I really don't understand the hype of the Bun Rieu at Pho Kim Long. The Bun Rieu at Pho Dao is packed with crab/pork meatballs, spare ribs, pork blood, shrimp, tofu, and snails. I get it without snails and pork blood and substitute it for cha lua (Vietnamese meatloaf). It also comes side of herbs, veggies, and shrimp paste.

My friend and I came here on a Saturday evening. It wasn't too busy so we were seated right away. Parking isn't too bad either since it is in a large plaza with a grocery store. The plaza can get busy sometimes though. Food:I ordered the vegetarian pho. It came with plenty of veggies. The broth wasn't too bad either. My noodles were a little overcooked, but I didn't mind. Service:Service was quick as you'd expect from a pho restaurant. Our server took our orders quickly and our food came promptly after. The servers don't stop by to check on you as typical, but they're always around if you need something. You also pay at the front when you're ready. TL;DR - Pretty standard pho place & I wouldn't mind coming back
