I came here with several friends during a holiday weekend; the restaurant was around 1/3 full. I was seated in an area where the tables and chairs were a bit too close to each other, but I enjoyed the beautiful scenic paintings of Vietnam around the restaurant. I ordered #10 - Rare Stake, Well Done Flank, and Tripe pho. The order came out in a timely manner along with its normal garnishes. There was a good proportion of noodles to meat, and the broth was delicious! The pho here was yummy for a cold winter day, and this manages to stay as one of my favorite spots of pho in Sunnyvale.

Review for Pho #1 RestaurantPho #1 is a fantastic spot for anyone craving authentic Vietnamese cuisine. From the moment you step in, the spacious and welcoming interior sets the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. Here's what I tried: Chicken Pho - A steaming, aromatic bowl of comfort with tender chicken and flavorful broth. Egg Rolls - Crispy and golden on the outside with a savory, delicious filling. Grilled Lemongrass Chicken Rice Plate - Perfectly seasoned chicken served with fluffy rice, bursting with flavor. Grilled Shrimp Bowl - Fresh, vibrant, and packed with herbs and perfectly grilled shrimp. Vietnamese Iced Coffee - Smooth, bold, and energizing--just what I needed! Mango Smoothie - Refreshing, creamy, and the perfect way to end the meal.Every dish was fresh and full of authentic flavors. The atmosphere, paired with the quality of the food, made this a memorable dining experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking to explore Vietnamese cuisine or just enjoy some great food in a relaxed setting!Staff were kind enough to check my preferences and suggest me options accordingly

this place has become one of my favorite pho places because it is affordable and good. the pho restaurant itself feels pretty clean and there is ample seating. located in a busy plaza in sunnyvale, this place is in a great location if you want to stop by the dollar store after.the food was great! really big portions, especially for the price.what we got:thai tea (10/10 yums): your typical thai iced tea! i enjoyed it a lot and i felt like the ratio between the cream and tea was good.salt and pepper tofu (1000/10 yums): honestly, this one was shocking. it was very cheap and was SO GOOD. it had a good amount of seasoning without being too salty and was crispy on the outside, but soft on the insidetofu spring rolls (100/10 yums): super refreshing and the tofu was very soft. veggie egg rolls (10/10 yums): fried nicely! it's what you would expect from a veggie egg roll!chicken pho (100/10 yums): the chicken itself was not too dry and they give ALOT. be careful when mixing because the noodles may be clumped at first, so it may push some soup out. my sister and i both really liked how they seasoned this!beef pho: i didn't eat this but my partner really liked it!overall, highly recommend for some affordable and great food!

Egg rolls were good but came with sweet and sour sauce and not fish sauce? Which was weird. I got the bun Bo hue which tasted nothing like BBH, more like beef stew. A lot of flavor and it was good but I wanted BBH and it didn't have a single taste of that. My bf got the pork chops which was very flavorful and good! Big portion! Their fish sauce was whatever. It was literally from the bottle. No garlic or chilli added. Servers were good and attentive. A decent size restaurant and a lot of parking. Overall, their flavor is there with their food but just not what I asked for.

Above average pho - strong flavor in the soup and a large portion of meat which was the highlight. Food came out in around 10 minutes with Hoisin & Sriracha sauces, basil, mint, cilantro, bean sprout, and lime.Service was on the slower side, just one server for the restaurant which wasn't too busy. Had to walk up to the counter to pay when we were done which I didn't mind. Restaurant has broad Vietnamese menu options (appetizers, banh mi, pho, soup, vermicelli bowls, rice plates), was relatively clean, and had nice artwork on the wall. I think the lighting brings down the mood a bit but overall a fine and calm place to eat!Price is $15-18 for main dishes plus tax and tip. Came out to around $21 per person w/o drinks

One of the best pho we've ever had, opened late which was definitely a plus. We order 2 different pho, amazing tasting broth, meat was fresh, delicious. The service was quick, no fuss, when they say 10minutes better believe it's ready. We didn't dine in but it felt clean, welcoming and staff were very friendly.

Was feeling like something warm and soupy on a cold winter day so stopped by here with some friends! We settled on an order of spring rolls and a bowl of pho. The spring rolls were loosely wrapped and fell apart as soon as we picked them up. I would've liked more seafood and meat on the inside as well, as it was majority vermicelli noodles. The pho was reasonably priced but oilier than expected. Not a bad experience but not confident I would return again. However, the waiters were extremely nice and friendly!

Let me start off by saying presentation wise everything was beautiful, and the eyes eat first so I feel like it's important to mention and recognize. That being said the spring rolls looked really nice, however upon biting in they did not offer much filling and were very loosely rolled they quickly fell apart. The peanut sauce was super runny so we weren't much of a fan of that. The pho again was presented really nicely loved the green onion, broth was pretty rich but the meat while plentiful did not taste too good personally. The service was great but overall was not that impressed with Pho #1, would honestly not return.

I think this place just might be my #1 fav pho place in the Bay Area! No wonder they are called Pho #1. I already came back 2X to get their Pho #10 (Rare Steak, Well Done Flank, Tripe). I get my "rare steak" well done though... please don't judge me. Something about their broth is so delicious and authentic in comparison to other pho restaurants. They also give you a plate of mint leaves, sliced lime, sliced jalapeños, and raw bean sprouts if you want to add that into your pho, plus a small dish of Sriracha and Seafood sauce for you to dip the sliced meat and/or noodles into the sauce. Their broth always arrive at the table steaming hot and by the time I finished inhaling the pho, I am also drenched in sweat. A good cleanse for your body. The place is big and spacious with lots of seats available, but I tried to avoid the lunch hours.
