Since my initial visit, I have come to Persian Kabobs multiple times, and the food has continued to be good overall. However, there are a few factors that have inspired me to update my review, from 5 stars to 3, and that is being very kind. I think it's important for people to take notice of these issues, especially the owner. It feels to me that the owner cares more about his financial bottom line, than he does about customer satisfaction, transparency, and trust. At first I overlooked some of these issues, and told myself that it's just a business starting out, and I shouldn't update my review. Today was the final straw, and I couldn't bite my tongue any longer. This business is overcharging, and tricking customers as part of their business model. As an Iranian, it is embarrassing to watch my people run a business in this manner. As a customer, it is infuriating to be a victim of these games. Charging $1.99 for HALF of 1 tomato is despicable. So I figured, I won't order tomato from them anymore. If you look online, the price for 1 skewer of barg is $17.99, but the true price is $23.99. So I figured, I won't order barg anymore. If you notice, when you order the chicken ($9.99 for 1 skewer with 5 pieces) your fingers will be stained yellow all day long. This is because they aren't using saffron, they're using yellow food coloring. That is yet another sign of cutting corners for profit. The last straw for me was today, when all I ordered was 1 skewer of kabob, and asked if it comes with complimentary lavash bread. The owner said yes and when I picked it up, I was charged $1.99 for 1 tiny piece of lavash AND parsley. I never received the parsley, and I never ordered it! You can buy an entire package of lavash for less than what they charged for 1 "complimentary" piece. These practices are unacceptable. I understand there is inflation and food costs are high, but no other persian restaurant in the area is charging outrageous prices like these. I stopped going to Yas because they would give "complimentary" bottles of Kirkland water and then charge $4 for them at the end. These are practices that make people look down at our culture. There has to be a limit to the greed. Customers can all see the owners greedy nature, when they are charged for things that were supposed to be complimentary, or charged an exhorbitantly high price for particular items. A business will not survive with these types of practices. You have to care about your customers. You have to earn their trust. I recommended many people to give this establishment their business, and they did. Now I'm going to make sure those same people are aware of these tactics. If and when, the owner decides to run an honest business, I will be back to give him another chance, I will update my review, and I will let my people know he is a man of character. Until then, he can find out first hand what a struggle running a business can be, when your bottom line comes before your customers and your business model relies on dishonesty and greed..

First of all it seems that the grocery store portion will close this coming Friday and they will expand the business to be only a restaurant. Wish they could keep both!!We opted for Barg kabob, chicken koobideh kabob and ghormeh Sabzi stew. The kabobs were juicy and tender and the presentation was beautiful. The ghormeh Sabzi was Ok and lacked the sour flavor that should have. Seems they do not add lemon or sour grape juice to it. Hope they change the recipe and do make it the way it is traditionally. Minus one star for the ghormeh!I am sure over time their business will flourish as they do care about the customer service. Will be back after their expansion.

3.5 starsWe've been using our Uber Eat credit each month to try different nearby restaurants, decided to try PK this time due to the high Yelp ratings. Ordered a family plate Queen for two and Gheimeh & Saffron rice. I liked the dining area when picking up the order, room was nice, bright and clean. The lady (owner?) was very pleasant and cheerful, I remembered thinking we should dine in the next time. Not really qualified to judge Persian food, we thought the food was good for the most part with some misses. The Queen plate came with two koobideh (beef and chicken thigh) and pieces of chicken breast. The koobideh were our favorite, both were flavorful and moist. The chicken breast however was very dry, salty and tough which disappointed us. We liked the grilled tomatoes but wished there were more than one quarter of grilled onion, perhaps some peppers. The Gheimeh was good but on the bland side, so was the saffron rice. I did enjoy the fresh mint. Glad that we gave PK a try and would come back for the koobideh.

Dined here for the first time on Wednesday night. Cute restaurant combined with a Persian grocery store. The restaurant area is extremely nice, and our server was very kind and explained every dish on the menu for us. While we waited for the food, we got to walk around the grocery store! We ordered: - beef koobideh - chicken koobideh- bbq chicken kebab- an extra veggie skewer with each (honestly not necessary cause each serving is so big)I am honestly really impressed by the quality of the everything in the restaurant side; we each got placemats and individual baskets with utensils. Each table is complete with a variety of spices+condiments, including sanitizer and tissues! both the koobidehs were extremely flavorful and tender! they were also MASSIVE. Definitely more than one serving, if not two servings worth. I recommend taking a bite with the onion, rice, meat, and basil for the perfect explosion of flavors. the saffron rice was also excellent! the bbq chicken skewer was also delicious, although I recommend the chicken koobideh because it was more tender. the owner of the restaurant is so nice and gracious as well. this is a family owned business and he proudly explained to us that our order used his new plates. after asking to take a picture of our meal to showcase the plates, he generously offered us free drinks of our choice as a thank you. I will definitely be coming back again, both for the flavor + portions of the food, but also because the owners are clearly passionate about their quality of food. I recommend for those in cupertino looking for a satisfying and fulfilling dinner!

4.5 STARSPersian cuisine is one of the most underrated cuisines. IDK why tho...Juicy meat sticks....fragrant fluffy rice.....and tahdig!Ifykyk.Over the years, this Persian/Middle Eastern market has gone through numerous ownership and name changes that I've lost count.Started as Rose Market...Super Cupertino...Cupertino Kebab...Cupertino Specialty Foods...Select Foods... and now...Super Cupertino (new owner). The new owner recently transformed the butcher shop area into a dining room and Persian Kebobs was born. I've visited Super Cupertino a handful of times and it was quiet. But, on my most recent visit, Persian Kebobs (resto side) was poppin'. Looks like the strategy is paying off!Persian Kebobs is open for takeout, delivery, indoor dining, and outdoor dining (dog-friendly). M E N UPersian salads, sandwiches, "burritos" (lavash wraps), kebabs (koobideh: chicken or beef, joojeh: chicken thigh, barg: filet mignon, shashlik: lamb chops, etc.) and stews (ghormeh sabzi: herb stew, gheimeh: beef/lamb pea stew, etc.). You can request the kebabs "juicy" so it's not as well-done. Catering available. Bottled drinks available.Rose Market used to carry sangak from Yeganeh Bakery; wish they did the same here. F O O D* Cholo Koobideh: Ground Beef Kebab w/ rice, bbq tomato ($18.99): https://tinyurl.com/2p9bymz6My go-to order at Super Cupertino before they rolled out Persian Kebabs, what I can count on is...consistency. The koobideh is nicely spiced, tender, and juicy! SO good. Sometimes, I find myself having to order mast-o-musir (yogurt w/ shallots) for dipping because koobideh can be dry but not here. The basmati rice with saffron was perfectly cooked - fluffy and buttery with separated grains. Served with a smoky charred, juicy tomatoes, raw onions, and mint leaves. They have hot sauce that gives me Cholula vibes, mellow heat with a tang. S E R V I C EGracious hospitality from the very sweet owner, Sunny. She welcomes you in like family so it feels like you're dining in her home...not inside/outside a market.Order at the register, seat yourself, eat, and pay at the register before leaving. They seem to be much busier since rolling out "Persian Kebobs" so orders do take a long time. On my last visit during Sunday dinnertime, it took nearly 40 minutes wait for our order. There's a "help wanted" sign posted so I hope they're able to hire more BOH to keep up with the demand. A M B I A N C EHumble, organized market. Indoor seating area near the old butcher counter has 6-7 tables. There are 3 tables outside, more when the weather is nice. P A R K I N GEasy parking in the micro plaza (next to Ajito).Overall, Persian Kebobs serves delicious Persian food with awesome hospitality. When you need a break from regional Chinese cuisine in Cupertino, give Persian Kebobs a try!
