Passage to India is an amazing bakery, especially for eggless items , but has the worst parking.

We ordered a mango egg less cake from this bakery a month ago for an engagement party and I have to say the egg was great. It was for my engagement to my fiancé - the ordering process was quick and service was fast. This is definitely a chill environment store and not fancy but if you are looking for a yummy cake and have it egg less this is a good spot. Overall everyone in our party enjoyed the cake and the flavor was great. Would recommend to others!

Stopped off here to pick up some snacks and dessert. I remember this spot being a really good restaurant many many years ago and going there many times. Brought back quite a few memories. Looks like they have narrowed their focus to just being a bakery and doing takeout now.The older lady and the young gent who helped us out were great. The cashew nut burfi was delicious and the mango cake was very good. The egg and paneer puff were just OK. I wish them the very best!

This place calls itself a bakery, but, doesn't smell or look like one. They sell Indian sweets, samosas etc too. I like fact that they have a few eggless options in their pastries, but, my biggest issue with their packaged Pav bread (which tastes great, btw) is that there is no label on the ingredients or no expiry date. The same applies to all their bread/cake products. They put out these Pav breads at Indian grocery stores too and the story is the same there as well. The label just says they are eggless! Aren't there governing bodies to monitor such packaged food items?

Abusive staff | Pathetic Service | Indifferent Owner.Really horrible experience. I ordered a cake via doordash for pickup. Well in advance 2 days. First of all their place was picked only coz they seemed to be the only option which does eggless cakes.For whatever reason, doordash was showing that their place is closed and I had to call the owner and ask them if it is open.She spoke to doordash and got it opened. I placed the order. Just to confirm, I called the lady owner again. This is around 1pm for a cale to be picked up around 5pm. She mentioned that doordash doesn't notify her until 20mins from pickup, which was weird. How/why should the service not inform the owner in advance especially for an item like a cake.Anyway, she asked to call at around 4pm. I then called her and said that she had told her staff to keep a ready. I then left to reach the place at around 5:20pm and when asked for the cake, the receptionist said it is not even ready. And I need to wait for 20mins.I had to finish so many other things and time was a crunch. What's the point of pre order? I asked him to please hurry it up. I told him that I have been on constant call with the owner so this is least expected. To which he said you never called me. How is one person expected to know his number. Ordering on doordash should be sufficient.When I told him this and asked him to hurry it up, he started abusing me. That was the tipping point.I called the owner lady and doordash customer service to cancel my order and refund the money.I have also raised a complain with doordash again this restaurant and how they treat customers.Even apart from that - the place is really badly maintained, dirty display cakes.It is obvious that I will never go there again.

I went there with very high hopes,. Knowing the passage to India restaurant food and fame. I thought it would be close to actual restaurant level. But IT'S NOT. I got the veg puff and and just after one bite, I could feel that it's not something I should eat. From their shop, you can sense that items are not getting sold out. They have 1-2 item of each (sweet, bread, biscuit). I asked for veg puff, and shop person nodded his head and went inside. I asked are you making fresh? He nodded again and went in. Few sec later, I saw him standing next to microwave and when I took the first bite, I could feel that only top later is hot but inside masala is cold. I request the restaurant not to sell anything if you don't have it fresh, you could just say no or provide me something which is fresh.

Passage to India Bakery is a great place to pick up various snacks and goodies for yourself, for a party of any size, or just to gift when visiting someone else's home. PIB is adjacent to their restaurant. Staff is limited, but work quite hard in the back ensuring everything is stocked up well and orders are accurate.(One recommendation to the restaurant would be to not close all your window blinds when you're OPEN, as the picture makes it look like the restaurant is boarded up and closed, when in fact it's not. You'll likely get more business this way by people who just want to stop by while they are driving along El Camino.)

Ordered an excellent sugar free cake and it was amazing and honestly was enjoyed by all including the ones that didn't need the cake to be sugar free. The pistachio cake was soft fresh cream and tasted great! Kudos to the owner and chef for great service with very short notice. Thank you and it make a great birthday cake for today's celebration!

Delicious not overly sweet made my cake with one days notice! I had not ordered from here before but so glad I did! Reasonable prices and tasty cake!
