My second time back and I had the Mango Melon paleta without toppings. It was so fresh that it tasted like I was biting into the fruit. My kid had a mix of the Mazapan ice cream and fresa sorbet. He had never had Mazapan (the candy) but my husband said it tasted just like it while being smooth and creamy. The service was super friendly and we even had a nice conversation about my pitch for vegan Horchata options. On a Friday afternoon, they had a steady stream of customers but plenty of seating inside with music playing.

This review is more of a 3.5 stars. Been wanting to try this place since I had heard of it and finally tried it randomly walking around Downtown after strolling through Christmas in the Park. Came here with the kids and my boyfriend. We got the strawberry kiwi, the limon, the strawberry jicama, and I am not sure what it was called but it was a De La Rosa flavored one. All were really good. Loved how whatever the favor it was strong enough to really enjoy that flavor. Though as a personal preference/opinion they should stick to in season fruit. Strawberries are not in season right now so the flavor was a bit bland and the secondary flavor was definitely the clutch. But kudos to using puree of the actual fruits. Came in a cute box to hold the popsicle in. We did not try the ice cream, we just beelined to the popsicles. Semi strange set up, because the popsicles are not instantly visible upon entering you just kind of have to go all the way inside and go directly to their side display to see the options for popsicles. Located in Downtown. Options for street and/or garage parking. I did not see their pricing as the boyfriend paid. I think definitely worth the try if in the area. I would not mind coming back to sample their ice cream selections, but since I am not from the area I am not going to make a special trip to do so.

Came in on a random Sunday evening ,I ordered the Ube horchata in a cup. In my opinion if something is labeled as Ube I expect to have a decent flavoring of Ube but in this case the horchata overpowered the entire thing, granted I should have known since the color of the Ube swirls were pretty light, had they added a bit more or topped it off with an Ube syrup then it would've been great!!!But just based on that ice cream alone I give it a 3.5 . The establishment though is pretty spacious and the workers are great.

Do yourself a favor...go to Campus Burgers and get yourself some well done fries. Then, go to Paleta Planeta and grab yourself a Cookie Monster milkshake. Take some of those fries, dip them into the Cookie Monster milkshake and enjoy the best thing EVER!! LolPaleta Planeta has a huge selection of scooped ice cream and paletas. The paleta case is like a flavor rainbow! The staff is attentive and super fast! They definitely work as a team. The inside looks awesome with plenty of spots to get those selfies with your out of this world paleta!

Was in the mood for ice cream and stumbled upon this place as I was biking around the city, so I decided to pop in and get a scoop. The service was alright, and they let me try samples of both the honey lavender and another flavor that I don't fully recall but remembered was good. It's somewhat rare to find honey lavender so it was a nice surprise, and a lot of the other flavors looked good as well. I also liked the ambiance of the place, which gives it a family friendly space vibe that matches with its name. There weren't that many people that were there due to the time that I had gone in, but there is also a decent amount of seating which would probably make this place good for studying if there was working wifi (there might be but I haven't checked). Overall, it was a nice experience and I would be willing to return to try out the other flavors.

My first time trying this place was during a craft festival and they already had so many flavors sold out then. I'm so glad they opened up a shop so that I can try the other flavors. They have water or cream based paletas with different flavors. We had the watermelon strawberry with adding toppings of tajin and chamoy and Cookie Monster with added toppings of Oreo crumbs and condensed milk. The Mexican street corn was different from any of the ones I've had. The hot sauce they used on top left kick in the mouth but was great overall. It was less than 5 minutes to order our paletas and get the order as it was a little bit slower during the time we went. Definitely worth a try now before the summer comes and it's packed.

I took my kid for the excitement of seeing the paletas on display, when I arrived it was nearly empty and looked like all paletas were gone ! When I asked the employee she said actually just tell the flavor and they'll bring it out from the back, we are both very visual and all the labels without product were overwhelming so we opted for the regular scooped ice cream which was on display, it was a little pricey, $10 something for two small scoops , it would have been worth it had we had the chance to browse the paletas and choose, my kid did enjoy the Cookie Monster ice cream though

I was looking for a new ice cream spot and i stumbled upon this place on yelp - I decided to take a look at it because the reviews looked promising and they have one of my fave ice cream flavors which was Cookie Monster.I did not know that the campfire was a secret social media menu, so as I was looking for the add ons, I asked the cashier if they had the marshmallow and he told me about the campfire! Total was about $8+ for one scoop + campfire so I assume the campfire add on was about $3 or so but it was worth it cause it was so delicious.Definitely can't wait to come back to try other flavors and get the popsicle as well!!

Yay for a legit ice cream spot in DTSJ!I recently visited Planeta Paleta, and I'm blown away by the experience! They offer an incredible selection of paletas in unique and classic flavors that are both refreshing and delicious. From tropical fruit to rich chocolate and everything in between, there's something for everyone here. The ingredients taste fresh and natural, and it's clear they put a lot of thought into creating quality treats. My favorite part of this spot is the variety of toppings. I got the ube & Oreo paleta with a condensed milk drizzle! Yum! The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is fun and vibrant. Highly recommend for anyone craving a delicious dessert - Planeta Paleta is a must-try!

Awesome lineup of paleta flavors. I tried the Cookie Monster Oreo and the mango horchata. Both were not too sweet, though the mango horchata definitely had more spice flavor compared to mango. If you add the drizzles, you're looking at $6/paleta. It's worth it if you go for the unique flavors and the space decor is pretty nice.
