Impeccable Vegan/Vegetarian Sushi - Worth the Wait!We recently dined at Oh Baby Sushi and while the initial service was a bit slow (our drinks took a while to arrive), the incredible food completely made up for it. As vegetarians, we were thrilled with the menu options and ultimately ordered the mango asparagus roll, spicy veggie rolls, cucumber crunch roll, and the jalapeno bomb (with tofu). Each roll was a masterpiece. The flavors were vibrant, the textures were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was stunning. We're avid fans of vegan and vegetarian sushi and have explored many restaurants throughout the Bay Area. Without a doubt, Oh Baby Sushi ranks among the absolute best. We can't wait to return and savor their delicious creations again soon.

We visited the restaurant this past Saturday, and had the warriors roll (shrimp tempura, crab meat, seared fresh salmon, crunch onion, special sauce), angry fish roll, and blue fin o toro (the fattiest part of the fish) for dine-in. Same sauce came on both rolls, I was fine with it (enjoyed the warriors roll), my bf not so much a fan. The quality of ingredients was good otherwise, everything tasty, though pricey. Plus, $5 for a can a diet soda, yikes! We had no problems with service. No wait to be seated, our order was ready in less than 10 minutes, and staff was helpful and attentive during our entire visit. The place was clean and modern with plenty of seating inside, but it was so quiet and awkward around 6pm, even with a good amount of people inside, no music, nothing, for the first 30-40 minutes we were there... light jazz did turn on before we left, but it was still a little weird (the timing and atmosphere). 4 stars for overall value and experience :)

5/5 for food and 4/5 for service. I bookmarked this spot a while ago and had been looking forward to trying it. I was definitely not disappointed by the food and want to come back for omakase. I ordered the truffle hamachi and the double toro roll, and they were both delicious. All the fish was fresh, rich in flavor and complemented well by their different sauces and toppings (but not drenched / overpowered). I am a big fan of both tuna and salmon toro, so the double toro roll was absolutely the way to go! The service was very slow, especially considering I only ordered two plates for myself at the table, but it was busy and they were very kind and apologetic about it. I went around 6:30-7pm on a Friday so it's understandable... the restaurant was pretty full upon arrival but I was still able to get seated within a couple minutes; by the time I was leaving around 8, the line was out the door!

4.8 stars. First thing that struck out to me when coming into the restaurant was the ambiance of the place. The interior was well decorated and very clean. There is also a nice subtle jazz music in the background that gives the place a classy vibe. It's a great spot to take someone out on a nice date. Food wise, the quality is pretty good, although can be a bit pricey. The deluxe chirashi bowl is a decent portion but around $61. All the fish is fresh and the rolls are also all around the $20 range, with only 8 pieces. Overall, would recommend if you're looking for a nice sushi spot.

*Vegetarian/Vegan Foodie Review*I'm blown away by this hidden gem! As a vegetarian/vegan-friendly spot, they truly deliver. The sushi is not traditional, but the creative twists and amazing sauces make it incredibly flavorful.Ambience is decent, but the food steals the show. Parking was surprisingly easy. We visited on a Saturday night with friends and my 4-year-old. We've been to their Redwood City location before, but this one did not disappoint! They even have a kids menu, which made me super happy. My 4-year-old tried sushi for the first time and loved it! We ordered the edamame and cream cheese avocado maki from the kids menu, and she finished all 8 rolls! As for us adults, we ordered:- Garlic edamame (medium spice level) - yum!- Spicy veggie roll (VEG) - 5/5 - must try, so flavorful and yummy - Call me nuts roll (VEGAN) and Veggie tiger roll (VEGAN) - both 5/5 they're similar but with a slight twist- Veggie bomb roll (VEGAN) - 4/5- Veggie on fire roll (VEGAN) - 3/5To top it all off, we were all served with complementary vegetarian miso soup, which was a lovely touch!Everyone in my group loved these, and the ratings are based on our favorites. Personally, I loved all of them, but 'Call me nuts roll' was my absolute favorite!Service was fast, which was a pleasant surprise, especially on a busy Saturday night!Don't miss this spot, especially if you're vegan/vegetarian! It's a game-changer.

This was so disappointing! I ordered the mango iced tea, miso soup, tamago nigiri, California roll, and mango unagi roll. Literally the only thing I'd consider consuming again is the iced tea. What worked:-- the mango iced tea was good, there was a little purée at the bottom and it wasn't overly sweet or bitter-- the servers were kind and attentive -- the piano music playing was pleasantWhat didn't work:-- the miso soup was SO sweet and hardly had any salty or umami flavor. I couldn't finish it and did not enjoy it-- the tamago was also intensely sweet. The rice on it was good but the tamago itself genuinely could have been a dessert-- there were several egg shell pieces in the tamago. Nothing too large or sharp but definitely unpleasant -- the California roll was just fine, I felt like there wasn't much flavor in it and I've definitely had better for cheaper (it was over $10!)-- the mango unagi was, you guessed it, way too sweet. The mango purée, unagi sauce, and crab meat were too overpowering and there was nothing to salvage my taste buds from the sugar rush. Soy sauce helped but not by very much-- finally, this was expensive! Everything on the menu was $2-$3 more expensive than other sushi places and they lacked the quality to justify the increased price Overall, I would not return here. Everything was too sweet and too expensive to justify a return trip. My table mate said the salmon nigiri was very good so if you do come here, either consider it dessert or just stick to sashimi.
