This was my first time hiring a private chef, and I was a bit nervous since it was for an intimate dinner for two at an Airbnb on the coast celebrating my partner's birthday. I found Nutrigastro through Yelp, and from the moment I reached out, they exceeded every expectation! Their response time was immediate, and within minutes, I had a curated menu tailored perfectly to my requests. My contact person was initially Yeye who helped me curate the perfect menu on yelp and then Ericka directly to coordinate everything else including payment. The pricing I think is perfect for the experience. Chef Hakeem and Chef Leo were incredible. Their fluidity in the kitchen was unmatched, and they went above and beyond to deliver a menu that not only matched my vision but tasted even better than I could have dreamed. Every dish was absolute perfection:Homemade Caesar Salad: Crisp, fresh, and perfectly dressed.Lobster Bisque: Rich, creamy, and decadent.Surf & Turf: Lobster and ribeye steak cooked to perfection, paired with garlic mashed potatoes and tender broccolini.Dessert: A phenomenal homemade cheesecake topped with a strawberry rose and fruit compote.The dinner started exactly on time, and they handled everything with such professionalism, even cleaning up the kitchen so well it looked like no one had ever been there! They provided their own serving plates and utensils, while I added a few personal touches like a tablecloth, candles, and decorations.I cannot recommend Nutrigastro enough. If you're considering a private chef experience, do it. Chef Hakeem and Chef Leo will make your event unforgettable. Thank you for making our night so special!

Erika, Chefs Hakeem and Lei, and Kristell delivered outstanding service for our company's special celebration. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They put great effort into making the presentation beautiful and satisfying even to the most discerning palates.We chose mostly the Asian menu, and everything was spot on, including the desserts (we had a lot of lovely comments from the attendants) They were punctual, incredibly kind, and paid attention to every detail. Despite my many questions and numerous changes (I'm not the easiest client!), they were accommodating and adapted to whatever we needed. I especially appreciated Erika's approach when she said, "Just tell me what you need, and we'll make it happen."We will definitely rely on them for our future events and highly recommend their service if you want a seamless and reliable catering experience.Thank you guys so much!

I can't say enough about Nutrigastro!! I contacted them to cater my wife's birthday party, and they allowed me to customize the taco bar to my liking. The food and service were EXCEPTIONAL!!! The communication prior with Anjanette leading up to the event left no room for any confusion whatsoever. On the day of the event I'd like to give extra THANKS and PRAISE to Ericka Lopez, Chef Leo, and Kristell who were responsible for making the food and my wife and guests feel welcome. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food and the professional staff. I'd definitely use them again for any event I'd need catered.

In a panic after finding out that our go-to restaurant was closed for Thanksgiving (and having to cater food for our family who were coming over), I searched Yelp for catering companies. Although I didn't go with Nutrigastro's services, coordinating an order was such a pleasant and straightforward experience, I am considering Nutrigastro for future gatherings necessitating food for a large group. The customer service was hands down amazing. The staff I corresponded with were extremely friendly and accommodating. I can't say better things about them!

I used Nutrigastro catering services for my mom's 80th birthday. They were so easy to communicate with and their responses were very prompt. The food was delicious and guests complimented on how good the food was. I ordered food for 40 guests and the food was plentiful. They even made a beautiful menu for me that went perfectly with the theme. Would most definitely use them again! Thank you Chef Lei and Ericka Lopez!

Chef Hak did an incredible job teaching my son knife skills. He was patient but never patronizing and my son was over the moon to learn about proper technique. What a cool guy!! Next time we are asking him to show us how to make jollof.

Chef Hak and team exceeded my expectations and made my birthday very special. First off, Chef responded to my Yelp inquiry within minutes and helped me put together a perfect 3 course menu for 20 with such ease. I selected items that were on his sample menus. Chef made it seamless and low stress the day of the event by keeping in touch and taking care of bringing all groceries up to Napa, cooking items and also doing an impeccable job of cleaning the kitchen afterward.The beef dish was very tender and perfectly medium rare, the chicken was so wonderful -- browned on the outside and very moist and flavorful inside, the vegetables and truffled rice were beautifully prepared. I am already finding ways to invite Chef Hak in to cook for us. He's a pro and his teammate Lei was excellent as well. Kudos to Nutrigastro!

Everything was great! "Everyone" that came to the party was impressed with the food, we ordered more than enough-the food was so good folks were looking at each other crazy when packing plates! Please ask for their Cajun menu! Y'all know how our folks are-we don't ever lie about how food taste!m, lol! Thank you Nutrigastro for making my husband's 70th birthday memorable! Ericka Lopez was quick and responsive, and made me feel at ease, oh yes and the Cajun deviled eggs were excellent! Thank you Chef Lei for your favorable style!

Let me start with a little background. I used their catering service for the company xmas party of around 40 ppl. I opted for a full service with choice of entrée and a taco bar. The communication was good up until the day of the event. The event was scheduled to start at 6 but the caterers didn't arrive until 6:30. They said they were going to arrive 3 hours early to set up, which put me at east. When they didn't arrive even at 6pm was really worried. They assured me they would have enough time but turns out our guest arrive and they're still setting up. The party looked very unprofessional and I had to worry when the food would be ready to be served. Upon starting the service, I was told their "full service" did not include taking orders. It was fully a buffet style and everyone would have to line up get the food. They didn't communicate to the guest any special request and quests had to fumble around to get their food. I also ordered a taco bar and they did not inform our guest and so it was left there and no one ate it. I also had horchata that no one touched as they didn't tell the guest of anything. The staff basically just stood by the buffet table and did not inform guests of any info. All in all, I spent way too much time coordinating with the staff to be able to enjoy the event. It almost felt like I was the groom at a wedding event. If the staff was more punctual and communicated what their "full service" was, I might have gone in with better expectations. In light of this, the guest did say the steak was pretty yummy. The cost was pretty reasonable, which was why I picked them in the first place. But for the quality of service I got, I would have opted for a more professional service. For a small gathering they may be a better fit. For a professional event, they really made the event very stressful for me.

NutriGastro came and saved the day when we had an issue with another catering company. We needed a catering company quickly for our nonprofit's anniversary gala. Ericka Lopez was an absolute pleasure to work with from the beginning to the end with a great communication and professionalism and went beyond to meet our budget and needs. She even created a beautiful menu to go with our theme and colors, which was way more than what I had expected! They came on time and set up the buffet tables beautifully. The Dishes prepared by her and Chef Lei were delicious, the charcuterie boards were beautiful, and the amount was very generous for many of our guests to enjoy the seconds. I'm recommending them to everyone I know!
