This place is tiny and amazing. The egg and bacon bagel was very good, and what makes this place special is the owner/operator. He is so pleasant and friendly. On this particular day, I was lucky enough to chat with a regular while waiting for our orders. Having a pleasant interaction with both men made my morning better. I recommend this place if you're willing to be pleasant and patient. He is a one man operation, and hopefully you have the pleasure of talking to him while you wait for your order. Give this place a try. It might make your morning a little better.

This place made me overwhelmingly sad. The man who runs it is sweet and kind, but clearly lacks the vigour to maintain basic cleanliness standards in a food establishment. There is grime on the floors, grime on the prep station countertop, grime everywhere. Undoubtedly, severe underinvestment in facilities contributes to this situation: the kitchen is indoors but has no extractor/exhaust fan, so whenever anything is fried, the oil has nowhere to go but the walls. Who among us cooks indoors without an exhaust fan in the year 2024?! I ordered a Reuben sandwich. The sandwich was fine, but certainly wasn't the size you would expect from a sandwich that costs $17. You can get much better sandwiches for similar prices from any number of other sandwich shops in the area. There wasn't much business at lunchtime when I visited. I think Palo Alto would be much better served by a better business here, and the owner deserves a well-earned retirement.

Ran by a really nice guy who has always greeted me. Great location near Caltrain and the ambiance really captures the sense you're ducking into a small cafe in Manhattan. The bagel sandwich with bacon is great and pairs well with a coffee.

Good little hole in the wall but nothing insane. Definitely a grab and go (there is a small table inside and outside). The Philly cheesesteak was pretty good.The owner was very sweet and it was a nice small mom & pop shop. Just overall very pricey despite being in Palo Alto.
