I am not sure if this is the one my sister took me to get Halo Halo and Kare Kare. She lives in Hayward so if this the location - this is my review. After shopping at DAISO my sister was craving Boba. I wanted Halo Halo. So she agreed and recommend this place for Halo Halo. The entrance doors were open and as walked in it was just HEAT! The inside was hot! The temp was more like in the 80-90 degrees in there! I think the AC was broken but they had fans blowing but it was just hot air inside! Anyway - They had array of dishes to pick from kinda like a Turo Turo style setting. We were set to just get Oxtail Kare Kare - $20.99 for a Large. Halo Halo, Vegetable lumpia ($3 plus each) , Pork skewers were about $3 a stick. Overall My sister spent about $60 ish for everything. The Kare Kare was delicious I just wished they removed the fat skin on the oxtails. Im from the south now and we do oxtails we remove the fat skin. WE keep skin to add flavor to oil when we cook stews but then after we peel the fat when serving. The Vegetable lumpia was good but it kinda tasted sour with the vegetables. Not sure if it was spoiled? I had a tummy ache after eating that. They do give u alot of meat in the Kare Kare some are cubed beef not only oxtails. Just be aware. This is not a bad place for filipino food.

Loved the diner vibe for Filipino food! The auntie was very friendly! I ordered 3 items combo of Kare Karen oxtail (bland, not peanuty enough but tasted good after the side paste sauce!) $3 extra, sisig (very good and love the onion and sauce that comes with it), dinaguan (very clean no fat). The pancit palabok tasted good but the noodles was the same as pancit noodles instead of the bigger clear noodle. Would love to try the halo halo next time.

For my god daughters 1st birthday, her parents decided to cater from this place, yes they cater!!!!! It was a bit of everything, lumpia, lechón , rice , you name it!!! I ate 2 full plates. The staff was kind, they even offered to go at the end so nothing would go to waste, i can't speak about the ambience because this was a cater, but I definitely will visit your actual location sometime soon!!!!!!!!!

If you're craving quick Filipino food , nayong Filipino is our go to here in Union City. It's "turo turo" style meaning you just point at what dish you want . It's quick and they have a bunch of staples like the kare-kare and pork sisig. You can't go wrong with their pork and chicken bbq! They actually came thru yesterday. Last minute order of 80 bbq and they delivered. It was a hit for my family potluck! Ambiance wise nothing fancy but the place is pretty clean.

Maybe it's my fault for ordering to go form yelp but when we got there it was chaotic and they didn't understand my order was from Yelp via GrubHub (eventually they found it). So we ordered 2 large trays of lumpia shanghai from the yelp site... so when I think tray im thinking at least a small foil tray right? My total was about $50 (I believe it was $22 a tray after fees/tax/tip). They hand me a brown bag okay also my fault for not opening but it's been ordered. We get to our party and I am embarassed at how small it is. Each "tray" only has about maybe 20 tiny little lumpia. The "tray" was more of a nacho boat you would get at sports game or something. We were more than disappointed. The taste was fine, but I just wish we knew what we were getting for $50 I would've probably been better off ordering combo plates or something.. The lumpia tray was listed under "large family", next time we'll be getting it elsewhere. At this price point it's about $1 a shanghai lumpia which is ridiculous.

I will shamelessly admit that I come here once a week for Halo halo. I finally came in and ordered more than dessert and can give a complete review :)The inside is clean spacious with booths and tables for dining in. I came in during lunch time for the hot food line. The line begins at the leftmost side of the restaurant once you step in. I picked out the plate with garlic rice, bbq chicken, bbq and vegetable mix (chop suey). Of course I also ordered halo halo. There are 3 different ice cream topping options mango, ube and avocado. I usually get ube ice cream tbh. The chicken and pork bbq skewers were delicious, the marinade was on the sweet side and the pork had bits of fat on it. I liked both in their own way. I also enjoyed the garlic rice and vegetable dish with bits of chicken as well. Of course I had to order an order of dessert, halo halo as well ;) The aunties working there are very kind. Service was excellent. The food was definitely a good deal because it helped feed me for the day (very large lunch and very large dinner meal).

I've only gone here once for a to-go order... and for one item. My favorite Filipino dish of all time: sinigang.... I LOVED IT. It was perfectly sour, good amount of protein and veggies..... my mouth is salivating thinking about this....Service was very friendly and quick! I am really looking forward to trying other dishes from Nayong Filipino, both to-go and dining in!

I had a disappointing experience at Nayong where I was treated differently because I wasn't Filipino. The staff was rude, my portion was noticeably smaller and lower in quality than what others received, and they even attempted to overcharge me. The overall service was unwelcoming, and it was clear that not all customers are treated equally. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who values fair treatment and quality service.
