I have been going to Mizu for years now, so I am surprised that I never left a review for them. Mizu is one of my go-to sushi places to visit that is in the Santana Row area. It's convenient to get a tasty dinner at Mizu and then head over to Santana Row (a few mins away).On a busy night, parking may be hard to find. I did come a few weeks ago for dinner and it was not too bad. I love getting their sushi boat to share with the table. I also enjoy their specialty rolls as well - it varies on what I get based on my mood. Service is pretty friendly and quick here. They also have a bar here with a bunch of drinks. I've only tried it a handful of times, but it's a great place to hang out after work with your girlfriends or a date night!

Solid sushi spot in beautiful san Jose, CA. Our server, Stacey, was super attentive and made great food recommendations. The sushi overall very good quality. I thoroughly enjoyed the sushi serving sizes however some of the rolls had too much going on which masked the flavors. This could have easily been a 4/5! Less is better e.g. not putting so much spicy mayo on top since the fish speaks for itself.I look forward to coming back!

Food ***Price **Attitude *Service ****We went to Mizu to grab a quick lunch. It seats 147 people and no one except the staff were there. The host sits us at the doorway with the cold air coming in each time the door opens, so I asked, "Hey, can we sit at the booth more inside the restaurant." This kid with an attitude tells me they are for parties of 3 or more. I started laughing, and said there is no one here, what's the issue? The punk starts grumbling and said, "Yeah, just his once..."While the food was fair, a bento box and a small side of chicken ran us $70 not including tip. This was not 70 dollars well spent and of value. A generous 2 stars.

Overall overpriced for what you get & questionable food sanitation. I ordered the sushi dinner & replaced the tuna maki with salmon. It also comes with a salad and miso soup. They were kind enough to accommodate the substitution, but for the fish that I received in the 10 pc nigiri it was overpriced ($52). They gave me 1 unagi, 1 ebi, 2 salmon, 2 bluefin tuna, 2 yellowtail, and 2 of a white fish. The fish quality taste-wise was barely passing, but I got a stomach ache shortly after so I kind of question the cleanliness here. That was the main factor that pushed this review from 3 stars to 2.

The service was on point tonight. She was very patient, attentive and didn't rush our table at all. One of my favorite go to's is the Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna. The menu is packed with items, wish the font was spaced out more to make it easier to read.

We were all set to order takeout from our favorite sushi spot, but it was closed the night before the holiday so instead we went to Mizu. We've been here several times over the years, but this was our first dine-in experience here all year. We checked in at the host stand and we're told it was going to be a 20 minute wait. A quick scan of the dining room revealed at least a dozen free tables and a couple dirty ones. They were clearly understaffed this evening.When we were finally seated we were hungry and ready to order. After about five minutes the server/bartender finally arrived. I asked him how he was doing and he confirmed our suspicion that they were understaffed for the night. He definitely was not in a good mood.We ordered gyoza, miso soups, Mizu roll, two salmon teriyaki, sprites for the boys, and a house hot sake for me. The gyoza and miso was a big hit for the boys. They reported that the teriyaki was good, but not as good as the regular spot. their regular spot is a well-known place in Mountain View where the salmon teriyaki dinner is actually nine dollars cheaper. I really enjoyed the Mizu roll, it was very flavorful, had a nicecombination of textures, and it was a large serving. At $24, it was pretty expensive. Decent-sized sushi restaurant near Valleyfair mall. They could definitely host a big party but their parking lot is on the smaller side so I'd recommend carpooling. It can get pretty packed during dinner time. Food: 2/5 For the price, I expected the quality to be better but the rolls were okay. We also got the calamari rings but they were not at all what we expected. It tasted more like a mozzarella stick. It also did not come with the honey wasabi sauce that was mentioned on the menu. Their miso soup was good though and they gave each customer a complimentary bowl. Service: 3/5 Our server was nice and checked on us a couple times. The rest of the staff did not look happy to be there though.

I come here for sushi once a month and they have a variety of good rolls. The service here is very friendly and attentive! I usually always get soup and salad with my sushi roll. Definitely recommend if you want to bring the family or a girls night out.

I took 3 hungry teenage girls here and they loved it. Every morsel was consumed. The staff was beyond amazing and even helped us out to cut a tag off a garment. Very clean bathroom. Good prices, especially for the quantity and quality of food. The sushi boats looked very impressive.
