I knew I wanted to try Mian Sichuan after seeing all the photos on my Yelp feed. We decided to stop by a little after 5pm on a Saturday and the restaurant was already half full. We were seated immediately at the very front of the restaurant and were prompted to scan the QR code to order our food. The prices were reasonable and there was a good variety of things to choose from. We wanted to try a ton of dishes so we just ordered whatever spoke to us that day: steamed egg with minced pork, steamed vegetables, beef roll pancake, mian cold combo (spicy wood ear mushrooms, beef in chili sauce, and cucumber salad), sichuan style spicy fries, sichuan cold chicken noodles, chili oil wonton, and the house special lamb. I'd say the best dishes were the lamb (fragrant, tender, and loaded with flavor), the sichuan style spicy fries (hot, crispy, and packed a punch), the mian cold combo (good variety between the 3 dishes and all tasted unique), and the steamed egg with minced pork (paired perfectly with a bowl of rice for a more comforting taste). I'd skip the cold noodles because it was too oily and lacked in any real flavors besides being spicy. Highly recommend checking them out and experiencing some authentic Sichuan eats!

This place does not disappoint on food! And it's a very solid, clean, family-friendly place with great service. It gets really busy, but I'm always happy to come here to eat (except that it's pretty far from my home). We tried the steamed egg today -- it is so soft and smooth, just the sauce was a bit salty at first but thins out as you eat it. My toddler loved eating this. Cooked almost perfectly. We also got my toddler the chicken fried rice like last time, which I would happily eat too.But actually we are here for the noodles. We got the zajiangmian and the braised pork rib noodle soup this time. Both delicious and, honestly, I can't say which I like more. It all comes down to what you're in the mood for, and there are no wrong answers. We also tried the spicy fries. The texture and the flavor was good, but not something I could see myself getting again -- at least not over other appetizers. I was feeling like tasting potato but didn't get as much potato flavor as just spicy in this appetizer (not a big deal TBH most places don't give the potato flavor I desire).Anyways, love this place and definitely coming back for more. Today they played some club music instead of Chinese music.

Simple and delicious Sichuan cuisine food. Noodles are chewy, broth is great and spicy depending on how hawt you want it. I recommend not wearing your favorite shirt because oil splatter will happen. Steer clear of those whitesBack to food, Chinese donuts were delicious with warm soy milk. Noodle soup was tasty and filled with fun toppings. Meat pieces are smaller than I expected.I'm coming back again.

This review is for a DoorDash order. We were craving some noodles and fried rice on a Friday night, and Mian had been on my list for a long time. We ordered the Mapo Tofu Noodles with meat, Chengdu Zaijiang Noodles, and the Chengdu Fried Rice. All three dishes were enjoyable. I had certain expectations after looking at pictures of the noodles, and I'd say they lived up to about 80% of what I had built them up to be in my mind. They give you the numbing sauce on the side, and it's legit--as in, numb-your-tongue legit. In hindsight, I probably should have gone a little easier on it.One piece of feedback: the salt level in all the dishes was noticeably low. It's not a huge issue since you can always add salt, but it did feel a bit lazy. The fried rice, on the other hand, was amazing. It had corn, which added a subtle sweetness that somehow worked perfectly with the usual umami flavors of fried rice.Overall, my family enjoyed the meal, and I'm sure I'll order again. Give it a try!

Saw this place opened online and wanted to try it. Not too hard to find parking in the plaza. It wasn't that busy on a Friday afternoon and just waited about 10 min to get seated for a party of 6. They gave us menus to start looking at first. The server was friendly and gave us recs. We ordered the chili oil wonton, beef roll pancake, and shredded tofu skin to share. The wontons were pretty good and a typical size. The beef roll wasn't as flavorful as some places I've had them from and a bit smaller. The tofu skin was very light in flavor and was better with some chili oil.I tried the Chengdu Zajiang Noodle with mild spice. It had a numbing sauce to it that wasn't too bad but still bit numbing. It came with ground pork, a fried egg and bok choy. I liked the noodle texture mixed with the toppings. It does get pretty oily at the bottom. The dish was on the cheaper side but matches the portion size.

Pretty busy on a Sunday evening. Joined the Yelp waitlist ahead of time to skip the wait. Definitely gets crowded so be sure to join that waitlist. Inside is bustling and has cute decorations. The 4 of us shared the steamed egg & minced pork, beef roll pancake, Sichuan style spicy fries, fried pumpkin pancakes, chili oil wonton, chengdu zajiang noodle, spicy braised beef noodle, and Sichuan cold chicken noodle. Steamed egg & minced pork was pretty good! Beef roll pancake was decent but had a mostly sweet taste. Sichuan style spicy fries not bad. Fried pumpkin pancakes was more like a dessert with chewy-ish filling inside. Chili oil wontons weren't great as the skin was too tough and thick. None of the noodles stood out to me that much, but my favorite was probably the Sichuan cold chicken noodle. After a while, everything started to have the same Sichuan style flavor so I think it got a bit tiring for me personally. Overall I think my expectations were a bit higher especially after seeing all the hype from the SoCal locations.

Came here on a Friday evening with a group of 7. They didn't take reservations so we had to walk in. Luckily, they were able to seat us outdoors fairly quickly given the number of other parties ahead of us. Join the waitlist ahead of time if you can. You scan a QR code to order. As a group, we decided to share a few dishes, such as the wontons in chili oil, potstickers with corn and pork filling, and crispy wontons. The crispy wontons lacked in flavor; you really needed to pair it with the dipping sauce. The potstickers were interesting with the corn and pork filling but didn't really impress me. The wontons in chili oil was probably the best out of the 3 but also felt a bit lackluster in flavor. For my main dish, I decided to get the spicy beef noodle soup, with level 3 spicy. It was not spicy at all; if anything, it was just super oily. The firmness of the noodles was good. Beef was tender and bok choy helped make the meal feel healthy. Overall, I didn't feel like it had much flavor. Service was alright. They were quick to bring out our food. All in all, I felt like the food didn't really live up to my expectations.

Good new noodle spot in Cupertino! It's pretty new still as of this review, and still has a lot of hype (as evidenced by the crowds of people waiting during core eating hours!).We went at around 11am on a Saturday, and thankfully got in at just the right time right before the crowd hit! The ambience is lively and fun, great place to get together with friends. Seating is a bit tight, but it fits with the friend / fun / homey vibe. You order from a website (QR code on the tables), but pay in person in the end. Overall, the food was good! Strong flavors (which may not be everyone's preference), maybe a little salty. We ordered:- Steamed egg & minced pork: As good as all the reviews say. Soft, silken egg topped with salty, saucy, minced pork, mix to eat! - Chengdu Zajiang Mian: A little too sweet for my taste. We chose medium spicy, which wasn't too spicy (about the same level as hot Cheetos). The sichuan level was perfect, just the right numbness. I do wish there was more pork, the pork & noodle ratio wasn't ideal for me. - Spicy braised beef noddle: I thought this was really good and flavorful, with really tender beef. For both this and the Zajiang Mian dish, the noodles were good, but honestly wouldn't have particularly noticed it if the shop name wasn't "noodle" in Chinese.- Fried pumpkin pancake: fried pumpkin mochi stuffed with red bean. It was more on the herbal side of red bean pastes, which I liked!- Sweet soymilk: good, light, just the right sweetnessI would come back, and would recommend! It wasn't perfect for me, but I do think most folks would enjoy a meal here. A good introduction to sichuan taste.

The ambiance of the restaurant was really nice. Very fun decor on the walls. They had a painting of a street market on one side and woven bamboo decor on the other. We ordered the beef roll, za jiang mian, and rib noodle soup. The beef roll and za Jiang mian were our favorite. The rib noodle soup had two large ribs in it. They were a bit cold and chewy, but it was a lot of meat. The flavor of the rib noodle soup was really good though. But maybe with a different meat.
