Just outstanding. For the price it's simply the best sandwich and salad spot in the Bay Area.Vegetables that do have flavor covered with a dressing that augments and not shadows. In-house made bread. Fantastic! If only I could give the place 6 starts...You guys just ruined all other sandwich shops for me. Shame on you.

Had burritos, coffee drinks, some pastries.1. Breakfast burrito was solid but not great. Tortilla needs to be thrown on grill, and potatoes need crisp. From past experiences, the sandwich & salad options are FAR superior.2. Coffee has issues with taste. Wasn't mine but none of three drinks received were considered good by tasters, but could just be them. Can't verify for sure.3. Pastries were star of show tbh. Coffee cake was good but blueberry lemon scone was amazing.4. Don't mind busing own table but it was kind of hidden and trash was already overfilled which was challenged to stack. Probably don't tip 18% for no service.5. Seating venue and vibe were good.

Mezzo is one of my go-to spots for everyday and for when people are visiting and I want to show off how amazing the local produce can be! Everything here is great from salad to sandwiches, baked goods, lattes, and breakfast burritos! Definitely one of the best value places in terms of price and portion. Great taco tuesdays as wellGood amount of indoor seating as well as one of the best outdoor patios in the neighborhood, shared with Raleigh's bar so you have cornhole and TVs outside

Meso a.k.a. intermezzo is still a really great lunch spot after all these years. Their honey wheat bread is still some of the best around. Fat sandwiches, gigantic salads, and tasty soups are served up fresh daily. The outside area is cool and they share it with the bar next-door. If you're into that. We try to go to Mezzo whenever we're up on Telegraph.

Great lunch place in berkeley for massive salads and sandwiches. I always love to get their chefs salad, or a soup and sandwich combo. They also have great drinks and lemonades. They also have a really nice outdoor seating area/ garden in the back so definitely head out there for seating.

Fresh and delicious! I shared a chicken salad sandwich and beef chili soup with my husband and both were so good! Definitely a place to check out while in Berkeley. Staff/servers are friendly and this is a great place to get some work done, catch up with friends, and simply enjoy a meal.

So goooooooood. Generous portion sizes, healthy, reasonable prices, and delicious food. This place is just as good as I remembered it from college, and I'm glad it came back after the fire and is thriving! It's also dog friendly so I appreciated being able to gobble my food inside rather than trying to find some spot on campus to eat my takeout order!

I don't come to Berkeley often but when I do, this is a must for lunch. Their portions are huge & unheard of! Love the versatile vibe. I came here here to catch up with a friend, but you can also come to get work done with a cup of coffee or watch a game + have a beer in their patio. I'd recommend coming early or later in the afternoon to avoid the long line during lunch hours.

who knew a salad restaurant would win my heart? lively ambiance with cute outdoor seating that's connected with raleigh's, close proximity to campus, huge portions with great prices that's perfect for a broke college student.the salads and sandwiches can last me at LEAST two meals but you have to do yourself a favor and come for the breakfast that ends at 11 am. it's my favorite part about mezzo and the customizable burrito.

I probably should have clearly read reviews first here. I ordered the Chef's salad with salami and the poppyseed dressing. Can I just say wow this salad is heavy. I've never had a salad this heavy. I couldn't finish it all in one sitting and I had only had a coffee that day at that point. It was quite delicious and filling. The line when I got there wasn't that long I was told. It went pretty fast. I'd definitely come back because it was very good. I'm so glad they finally were able to reopen after the fire years ago.
