I rarely go to the same restaurant but I have been coming back over and over again. Meyhouse is my new favorite restaurant and I plan to be back often--outstanding food, service, and ambiance. They have live jazz in the back and I plan to get tickets to that the next time I go. Koray, the owner is a gentleman and an amazing host. I wish him and his team all the success in the world.

The food and service was really good! We really enjoyed celebrating a birthday here. We got a lot of food to try and definitely did not finish them. Everything was tasty, the only things that were necessarily worth the price for us was the lamb chops and the antrikot rib eye. I was good but not worth the price it was at. The service here was also really good as we were checked up on our table was consistently cleaned, water was always filled. Our table was near a high traffic area so we were constantly getting bumped by servers who were rushing and people who were dining. This restaurant is pretty spacious too, but we were placed in a pretty bad spot. We moved our table ourselves but we still got bumped into. We didn't let it ruin our night, and our server was amazing so we just continued to sit there. This was definitely a one time experience that we enjoyed!

We came here to celebrate our friend's birthday and were greeted with a nice HBD placecard at the table. The starters really shine here: We were in heaven with the generous basket of complimentary bread and lemon dipping oil! Don't sleep on the karidesli enginar (artichoke with poached shrimp) and the kopoglu (eggplant, peppers and yogurt), which I generously spread on that Turkish bread! The birthday girl also enjoyed the levrek marin (lemon cured sea bass). Get these and you'll be a happy camper. The octopus had an amazing smoke flavor, but I found it a bit mushy. The flatbreads are only available during lunch so of course we had to get one! We got the Lahmacun, which I've had at other Turkish restaurants and I'd say this one is pretty standard (ok). The lamb chops, ordered medium rare, were all well done except near the bone it was medium rare. So yah, the well done parts were pretty dry. We contemplated sending them back, but were so full we just took them home. The Chilean sea bass was cooked well and had good flavor, but we wouldn't jump at ordering either entrees again. Profiteroles: meh too. It was a nice gesture with the birthday baklava and candle on the house. As of this review, there's a $1-2 discrepancy per starter and $3 per entree on their printed restaurant menu versus online. I just noticed this as I'm writing the review and comparing our receipt with what's posted online. Please kindly update your online menu to current pricing. There's also a 4% living wage surcharge. It is fairly pricy here. Three of us dined here for lunch and it was well over $100/pp not including tip with each of us having one drink, two shared entrees, apps and one dessert. Service was good.Reservations on Opentable were easy to make. Street parking only. 3.5 stars rounded up.

Took some coworkers here who were in town, it was easy to get a walkin table on a Monday night, no wait! The starters are really good for sharing. The waiter gave great recommendations. The entrees were good but the starters really shine! The service was friendly but sometimes hard to get their attention after we ordered. Overall a nice atmosphere and good food!

Came to Meyhouse for my birthday in January. Made a reservation and was seated right away. The inside was really nice. Once we got the table they put up a sign which was really nice! We ordered a few appetizers. The bread for the table is amazing. Fresh, hot, and fluffy! The salad & yogurt based dumpling appetizers were really good. Salas I was super refreshing and the dumplings were full of flavor. For the main we ordered ribeye and WOW. The steak was amazing. Might be the best ribeye I've had. Meyhouse was an incredible place to spend my birthday and would definitely come back!

Meyhouse is quite a gem. Tucked on a side street in downtown Palo Alto, the ambience is upscale. Came here and shared mezzes family style. Highlights were the kopoglu (eggplant is very tender), octopus, hummus, and manti (beef dumplings). House bread was delicious as well! The entrees especially the lamb chops were delicious and their branzino was on point. Would love to come back again to check out their jazz shows. Service was attentive as they gave us a birthday baklava on the house.

My friend & I decided to check this place out since we've never tried Turkish food and it's different from what we usually eat. Of course, you can order separate dishes, but there was a prix fixe menu starting at $40 PP, so we chose that. For our appetizers: We got the complimentary bread with lemon olive oil dip, Karidesli Enginar & Ahtapot. I enjoyed that bread, it was rlly good. For Karidesli, I felt like it was too oily for me. The Ahtapot octopus dish tastes similar to shrimp to me. It wasn't bad. For main dish: We got the Lokum & Izgara Levrek. The Lokum was ok. I got to eat a little bit before I got sick of the taste. The Izgara was good, but I felt like they could use some other side dish to complement the fish, cause it was just plated with salad. For desserts, we got the Kunefe & Profiterole. Those two + the bread was the star of the show. The Kunefe was the best thing I've ever tried. It was both sweet & savory. The Profiterole was also good + it's chocolate, so you can never go wrong with chocolate. The service was impeccable. The waiter would explain in detail what is what and suggested some popular items since we're not familiar with this type of cuisine. They would clean the table, refill your water, & set out new dishes every meal. That part was very nice.Since it's a prix fixe set, some dishes require an additional charge, which kinda defeats the whole purpose of a set menu. We saw that individual dishes range from $30-$40, so we thought the set menu would be a better choice. However, the food could definitely be better, tbh.

This review is for the jazz concert on December 27, 2024.Definitely come here for the performances. If you want a high quality and an intimate (meaning: a small venue) music performances, this is it. We really enjoyed the performance by Jamie Dais. His band rocks too! I love those seasoned and mature musicians. So much warmth, heart and souls in the music they play! The food, for a couple of finger food we ordered, well, I have to say I'm underwhelmed. I was hoping the execution would be better. The taste and the texture of the food was very forgettable! The service was adequate. We asked to sample a couple of wines b4 we ordered and they agreed to our ask.I would definitely come back for jazz performances but I'm not sure i would eat a meal here.

Came by for dinner the other night and it was a decent experience. Made a reservation and our table was ready upon arrival. Having dined at Meyhouse in Sunnyvale before, this venue was much nicer with a similar menu. Parking was available on the street and was easy to find. The menu outside the restaurant was merely a fraction of the prices that was posted on the website. The prices on the menu that was provided once we sat down were also higher than the prices posted on the website...interesting.Our waitress was super helpful in helping us find dishes for our meal. Our meal started off with complimentary bread which was tasty. The Ahtapot octopus that the waitress suggested was excellent. Flavors were on point and portion was gigantic. The Uc Borek were also tasty being lightly fried and filled with tasty fillings including meat and/or cheese. The Turkmen Mantisi were quite tasty as these were steamed dumplings filled with meat. These reminded me of the Afghan version. It was odd that these came out slightly cool...Opted for the lamb chops for the main course and requested them medium rare. The lamb chops came out medium to medium well and were quite thin. Flavoring was mediocre. Evvia has a much better version by a long shot.Opted for the profiteroles for dessert and they were tasty although I was surprised that they used cream instead of ice cream for the filling. The chocolate was a touch sweet though. The kunefe was the highlight was it was lightly fried with a flavorful cheese on the inside topped with a light syrup.~$135/head after tax, gratuity and 4% employer mandates.
