Medina's Catering

I have used them twice to cater company events and both experiences was nothing short of amazing. Romelia, Stephanie and the rest of the team are such pleasures to work with, tacos and quesadillas are impeccable, agua frescas and churros are also delicious! They also provide their own tables and tent, and they decorate the tables. 10/10 recommend! They will definitely be contacted for future events!

Medina's Catering saved our garden party. Our initial vendor cancelled on us the day before our event and Medina's Catering stepped in last minute and provided on-site taco catering. The food was very good. The staff were very friendly. They even set up a nice table for a decorated condiments bar. The only thing I would say is that we asked for more carne asada rather than chicken and chorizo, but I think they divided everything evenly so ended up with more chorizo. Overall, very satisfied and will hire them again!

Review is almost 2 years late, but I promised to so one, so here it is!I was planning my wifes Baby Shower! I came across Medinas Catering on Yelp!I called and emailed! Communication with Jesus and Joanne was very easy!At a time that is extremely stressful (planning the event, entertaining 50 guests, with a pregnant wife (baby was born the FOLLOWING day), Jesus and team took all that stress away!There were some extra food and beverages, and Jesus let me take containers/utensils home so I can transfer to Tupperware and allowed me to return them when I had time.I returned what I borrowed a week later, and shared pictures of the new baby girl, and Jesus shared his story about family... life! (Event was Feb 20,.. baby born Feb 21)!My appreciation goes beyond the services provided, but more to the hard work and family values that are put into the company!Sorry for the late review, Jesus! I have been busy!But thank you again for everything! I will endorse you forever!

I just want to say THANK YOU!! You truly made our event a hit! The food was wonderful and you set up our event so beautifully. The gentleman that you sent were so sweet and professional and they did a wonderful job serving our guests. Extremely clean and organized. I will defiantly use you again for future events.

There driver almost hit my car on the freeway then proceeded to brake check me and was in the far left lane and cut across the whole road to get off the exit white he was on the phone please fire him he was an old man please make sure u guys don't use your phone while driving lucky I don't report this your food is probably good but would never try it after this.

I recently got to try out Medina's Catering for an event featuring their tacos. The food was pretty good. They provided a variety of fish, chicken, and beef meats for the tacos. All were tasty and well-seasoned. Not dry or anything like that. The only con I have is that even though our event paid for a larger headcount (under 100 people), Medina's only allocated that to mean 3 small tacos per person. That wasn't quite enough given that people were hungry and could have easily eaten 5-6 tacos each. Overall, I recommend the tacos. Would also recommend those looking to hire Medina's to first understand how much food exactly would be included.

I used them for my sons birthday. We ordered a taco bar for 45 and an agua fresca. Everyone loved the everything. Thank you so much Jesus!

READ ME!!We decided to go with Medina's Catering because we saw that they had good reviews and were top-rated in the bay area. Oh boy, we were wrong as we had such a horrible experience dealing with them. We had a decent experience with Jesus (the owner) whenever we were able to deal with him but he's always so busy and he would have us working with Joanna. I feel like she's the culprit of the issue and has a power trip. There isn't any structure, a lot of disconnect between Jesus and Joanna, not professional, terrible at getting back to you, and has a really bad follow through. Whenever she says she'll get back to you tomorrow it'll be at least a few days to over a week before you hear from her. It was literally pulling teeth trying to schedule/confirm for a food tasting, getting our contract, or getting any questions answered. Joanna isn't too knowledgeable, nor professional, and lacks class. Not sure if she's Jesus's daughter or a family member but she's making him look bad and lose a lot of business. If we had such an awful experience like this, I'm sure many others would have experienced the same. If it wasn't for our wedding needing multiple cuisines/caterers and they were willing to hire additional servers for us to man the other food, we would've gone with a different caterer. THEN literally 2 days before our wedding Jesus and Joanna told us the servers we hired from them aren't going to do what Jesus originally said they were going to do. Originally, we told Jesus we need these servers to handle the other food since we have 2 caterers, such as setup/breakdown, serving the food, bussing, filling water, cutting cake, etc. What a normal server is supposed to do. Joanna and Jesus then said these 4 servers we hired from them for 5 hours will only setup/breakdown, and serve food from the buffet line. Does it really take 5 hours to do all that??? Anyways, we spoke with a few other companies while looking for new servers and they all said servers are supposed to setup/breakdown, serve the food, bussing, filling water, cutting cake, etc.Joanna was super immature and unprofessional AND was yelling over my husband...my coordinator had to step in to mediate. We ended up canceling the servers from medina and they only gave us back $1,000 for the servers. BUT the tax and gratuity remain the same from the original total. I feel like we're pretty good tippers but man their service didn't justify us paying over $700 in gratuity. As we go back and read the other reviews more in-depth and I guess this happened to numerous clients in the past. And what do you know, it's Joanna yet again, the culprit. We were a little nervous about them possibly not showing up to our event as well since we read that they previously did that to a different client. They do have good food but man I don't think it was worth all the drama, headache, stress, and anxiety. I'm very disappointed in the lack of professionalism, lack of communication, and the disconnect between Jesus and his team. It has been a nightmare dealing with them.

Amazing Went to a pucnic in Los Gatos. Medina provided the food Service was excellent, the servers were professional, friendly, and very efficient. The food was excellent, everyone went back for more Homemade salsas, tacos, quesadillas all deliciously prepared. They also have a great table presentation, everything looked so beautifully displayed Definitely will have them again

I love the service! Had to do a catering for an event for my office and with the amount of food they provided was awesome. I loved the communication throughout the entire process. I asked if there were vegetarian options and they offered at least 5-10 servings on the side. They didn't want one of the meats to go to waste. But I shared with them there still had to be an option just for 1 person so I had to take the soy chorizo. (He was right no one touched that option) I think they knew my frustration with that. Booking to pick up was great! There was also a drop of option but they were less than a 10 min drive from my office.
