I showed up her on a first Friday and people were sleeping on such a fire place !!!! This place left me stuffed and happy! I love the rice, the salad, and the seasoning on the halal meat! I will return here for sure !

Great little market across the street from my apartment. As a middle easterner myself, I'm happy with the authentic flavor of their shawarma and kabobs from the deli menu. I also like that they offer middle eastern specialty items in their grocery section (Arabic cheese, phyllo dough, halaweh, rose water, date cookies, nuts, baklava, breads, etc. The owner is always friendly and accommodating. I'll keep coming so long as the service is good!

Marwa Market & Grill has a small grocery section, a fresh halal meat counter, and a grill section. review is for the eats:offerings: burgers, platters/meals, shawarma, salads, afghan bread, eats: lamb shawarma(8.99)-loaded with dry, chewy lamb slices lacking juiciness. with some lettuce, cucumbers-meat cold, not warm nor heated, with tahini sauce.-tasted average. food made to order,.leftovers:-chewed onto tiny rock-like object, separated it in my mouth and spit it away.-cordial, friendly service.-a few tables available for inside dining.

2.5 Stars - Skip ItCame here once a few weeks ago and had a good experience, the service was fast and friendly. An older gentleman helped me out, asked which veggie I wanted and gave me some hot sauces. I ordered the chicken kebab with eggplant, it came with rice and a small salad with tahini - $12. The eggplant was the best part, so tender and flavorful. Way too much rice for one person, even eating it over two days. Came back today and ordered the lamb tikka kebab with eggplant. I asked for half rice/half salad instead of full rice; a woman helped me this time and said that would be fine. - $17 - how was this nearly $5 more than the chicken was a few weeks back?!I waited over 20 minutes for my food, I was the only customer in the shop. I got home and noticed my order was wrong. I went back and told the lady I had ordered the eggplant and only half the rice. She said "we don't have the eggplant, I gave you the vegetable of the day."I replied "ok, why didn't you tell me that when I ordered the eggplant?" She said "I can take back half the rice and give you hummus instead", I replied "no, thank you, I will throw out half the rice myself". Came back home and gnawed on the overcooked, flavorless lamb and took one bite of "the vegetable of the day" which was frozen peas with onions in a tomato sauce - not good. Shame about that eggplant though, would have gone back just for that. Sadly, I won't be returning for a third chance. Tips for Marwa - 1. Let customers know if you don't have something they order WHEN THEY ORDER IT. 2. Let customers know if they will be waiting an extended period of time for their food (we will understand if you tell us in advance).Tips for Yelpers - there are much better and cheaper food options nearby. Try Cafe Dareye for their veggie combo, Dosa for their vada pavs and wraps, Firebrand for their delicious sandwiches and fresh baked pastries/bread/pretzels, Drake's for their inventive pizzas, or Kingston 11 for their spicy jerk chicken salad and curried goat.

Neighborhood staple it seems like. I got the bolani, Afghan bread and chicken kebab. Can't speak on the kebab personally, but it was well-received. The bolani was fresh made, took 25 minutes, but well worth it. Afghan bread was a steal, it is hella bread. Usually a baguette lasts me one or two meals. I am still working on this one...it has been three days...Parking and area is a bit sus, so keep your head on a swivel.

I was assisting a new refugee who needed flour to cook bread. He requested two packages of flour, but the store owner refused to sell them to him, stating they were reserved for other customers. The service was poor, and the way the owner spoke to customers was unacceptable and unappreciated. I am leaving this feedback in the hope of improving your service. If there is no improvement, we will report this to the relevant authorities.

Excellent for catering and halal meat quality. They don't have everything always, which can be disappointing. But what they have in stock is fresh.
