Got to know about this gem of a restaurant through the TGTG app. Right from the get go these guys have had their food better than most if not all Indian restaurants in the Bay Area. It's a small place at the intersection of Bascom and Newhall in Santa Clara. Let me talk about the food I got through TGTG - Pongal, sambar, chutney, cauliflower 65, kesari bath, garlic naan and curry for naan. My wife and I shared this for dinner and I kid you not - we were both full!! The pongal was amazing - but sambar was out of this world! The Kesari was good too. The curry for garlic naan and the naan itself were good too. Overall I would recommend and revisit this place. BTW, they were giving patrons free Masala Chai - which was among the best chai I had in the Bay Area! Kudos to the management- maintain the taste and quality and you will not run out of customers!

I recently visited Majestic Tea while running errands on a Friday afternoon. Drawn by its few but promising reviews, I was eager to try their tea and snacks. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations.Ordering & Service:The ordering process was challenging, as the staff member present did not speak English and relied on a translation app. Additionally, in-store ordering was not available, and customers were required to place orders through an app. While the app was user-friendly and offered a first-time discount, the lack of direct ordering options was inconvenient. A special menu item, kothu paratha, was advertised in-store but was not listed on the app, and the staff was unable to provide guidance. We were informed that the owner would arrive shortly to assist, but after waiting, we proceeded with ordering what was available. The wait time for food and drinks was unexpectedly long. Despite only one other customer ahead of us, it took 30 minutes for our tea and an additional 15 minutes for food. Given that tea is the café's specialty, this was disappointing. Furthermore, our tea was listed as being served in a box per the app, but it arrived in a standard cup instead.Food Quality:We ordered a selection of snacks, including Mix Bhajji, Egg Bonda, and Gobhi 65. Unfortunately, the flavors were underwhelming. The Mix Bhajji--which included potato, onion, and green peppers fritters--lacked seasoning, making it bland. A fellow customer even warned us about this beforehand. Similarly, the Gobhi 65 had no seasoning in the batter, though chaat masala sprinkled on top helped slightly. The Egg Bonda followed the same pattern, lacking the depth of flavor expected in traditional Indian snacks.Ambiance & Overall Experience:The café is small, with only a few tables, seemingly catering more to takeout customers. The atmosphere was not particularly inviting, with loud music playing from a radio at the storefront. Additionally, there was no front-end staff available for most of our visit, and the owner never arrived, leaving a lack of hospitality and service.Final Thoughts:While Majestic Tea has potential, the execution falls short. The ordering process needs improvement, wait times should be addressed, and food flavors need enhancement to compete with other options in the area. Based on this visit, I would be unlikely to return, as there are other restaurants nearby offering a more seamless experience with better-quality snacks and tea.

Heard about this new chai spot in San Jose and had to try it out. The chai was really good and the snacks were great. I tried the samosas, mixed bhajji including mirchi bhajji, medu vada and masala Omlete bread and would definitely recommend this place. They have limited seating, so recommend ordering Togo. The service was fairly quick

My husband and I tried out this new place for a weekday lunch. We split the Gobi 65, the Mixed Bajji, and the Veg Tiffin Special Combo and a Kesari for dessert, plus each of us had a cup of chai. Everything was good--the standouts for me were the Gobi 65, the mint sauce that accompanied one of the two appetizers, one of the two soups in the Tiffin, the kesari, and the chai. The Mixed Bajji is supposed to be made with a mixture of the diner's choice of vegetables, but we weren't asked for that choice and the selection we got wasn't ideal--onions, potatoes, and green peppers. Regardless, the place had only been open a week when we were there--it's off to a solid start!

Best chai in the Bay Area I've had so far! Great blend, great attitude as a new business coming into the South Bay scene. I wish you well in this endeavor, and hope this will be a great new cafe in the area for everyone to check out. It's an alternative to Starbucks, open very early in the morning for those who want to grab a cup of chai and some food before work.

I love this place! My friend and I came here for her birthday. The food was delicious. We just kept saying WOW after every bite. It was so good I kept thinking about it and had to come back a week later. And the woman who took our order is just the nicest and most helpful. Seems like such a sweet and sincere business. I'm wishing them well. Try it out!

Ordered four items, one of which was never delivered. Vada (Lentil-based donuts) was excellent as was the Vegan Kurma (veggie stew). The Gobi 65 (fried cauliflower in chicken wing sauce) was outstanding. Yes, all a little spicy, but it IS Indian food, after all!

It was my first time coming here and the staff was so nice to me and my girlfriend! They gave us all of their different appetizer samplers they had and everything taste really good! I am so excited to try the garlic bread and curry. We had to take that to go because we got full from the yummy food served before. The mangolassi was so delicious and girlfriend couldn't stop drinking it. The fact they are newly opened, I am so impressed and am happy with the experience we had. I am excited to come back again.
