The three of us arrived at Los Gatos Cafe and a waitress promptly seated us. She asked what we'd like to drink and we asked for two coffees and an iced tea. The coffees were delivered very quickly with the iced tea close behind. We ordered two seafood and one chicken apple sausage benedicts. The orders arrived within 10 minutes of we were happy. The seafood benedicts were chock full of crab, shrimp and other seafoods in a rice hollandaise sauce. The chicken apple sausage benedict arrived within four thick slices of apple chicken sausage on top of the English muffin covered in hollandaise topped with two perfectly poached eggs. All of the benedicts were delicious, and the home fries were the perfect accompaniment. It was a great breakfast and we will return.

When we lived in LG I thought this was the absolute best breakfast place in town between the food portion, quality, & taste.I always felt as if we were rushed in and then rushed right out which kept me exploring other breakfast restaurant options in which there were plenty; Lou's, the LG diner, & Sweet Peas just to name a few! I was in the area yesterday and thought I revisit this place solely due to the remembrance of the superb food quality & portions, and was too hungry to be concerned with how they confidently with no fear nor concern of losing business rush people in and out just under the speed of light!!1:30PM, fully packed house, 2 parties ahead of us on the self help host list. We were seated within 5 minutes of arrival.Food was just as delicious as it was years ago - possibly better.Portions were just as huge as they were years ago - possibly bigger.Service was by far much better and much more personable due to the newly hired Vanessa who is extremely professional, the epitome of a server who knows how to serve, and a winning warm personality. We will definitely return much more frequently than we had been.Thank you chefs, cooks, hosts, bus staff, and Adriana the manager for hiring Vanessa!Would strongly recommend Los Gatos Cafe!!

Decided to try this place out on a weekday since I knew it wouldn't be busy and it sure wasn't. They have a lot of choices to choose from. Ordered the orange juice which was yummy and pulp free how I like it since it's freshly squeezed I would assume. Also ordered Swedish pancakes always a hit and flank steak chimichurri which reminded me of just an omelets or scramble the way it came out but nonetheless it was delicious, especially since they add sour cream to it! Their herb potato's were good as well soft and lots of flavor. I liked how they gave 2 poached eggs since they were tiny. Also whipped their raspberry coffee cake!Didnt know the infamous cinnamon rolls were only on weekends but all good I'll eventually come back to try more stuff on their menu!Friendly staff as well and lots of parking (if you go on a weekday of course)

Pretty amazing list of breakfast/brunch options to choose from and the food didn't disappoint! We drove in expecting a big crowd and wait on a Sunday afternoon and there definitely was one. Thankfully it was closer to lunch time so it cleared off fairly fast given we were okay sitting at the bar as well. We had to park a distance away in a residential street at around a 5 minute walk.Food I rate it 4.5/5 - so many options to choose from and I was really confused between the personal trainer and the chicken apple sausage (omelette/Benedict). Given the chicken apple sausage seemed to be a best seller, I went with it, I went with the omelette and not the Benedict. Too easy to go with the herb potatoes and the carrot walnut bread along with this, given they seem to be the favorites here. It was amazing! Seemed like a 3 egg omelette, with potatoes roasted just the right amount to get that crispy feeling, without them being too oily. Carrot walnut bread was really good, no wonder it's the go to bakery item. Was not too sweet for me. I could finish the whole meal in one setting without feeling too heavy, so win-win!My friend got the banana pancakes and the chicken salad along with an iced tea. He was a fan of the pancakes but said it was quite filling/heavy, not surprisingly!Service was pretty quick, after talking a while to order ourselves. They're pretty efficient. We will be back when in the area for sure!

Revisited this restaurant after a holiday run. As usual, there was a long line for the great food, but luckily, we got a table within 20 minutes. I had the seafood Benedict, and this time we also tried the steak chimichurri. Not sure if it was because we were seated outside in the winter, but the Benedict and potatoes were no longer hot when they arrived. The food was still good overall, but the steak chimichurri was just average--kind of dry, to be honest. Next time, I'll probably skip the steak.

Nice local spot for breakfast, super busy but wait time was reasonable and service was exceptionally friendly and efficient. Food isn't extraordinary but is good and menu is so diverse. Eggs Benedict was fine, but would try something lighter next time.

This establishment is going to get our 5+ rating as everything about it was outstanding. The food is second to none for breakfast and on the weekends you must order the cinnamon roll of into them. Huge and just the full taste of homemade. Beyond the food everyone in this place provides excellent service and just seems happy to work here. I almost wanted to apply for a side job as everyone seemed to be having fun ! :). Very clean and just a joy to eat here. And must say the home potatoes , whatever they put on them is by far the BEST I've ever had, so a huge thank you for a great time and excellent food !

Really solid brunch spot in Los Gatos! Came to brunch on a Tuesday and we got seated immediately. Parking, however, was a little difficult as they're located along the main street and have no parking lot. We were able to find parking along one of the neighborhoods but I can only imagine how hectic the weekends might get! The vibes inside were your typical mom-and-pop with their vintage newspapers and furniture! As for service, our server was a very nice lady who was attentive and constantly refilling our waters and coffees.Onto the main stars of the show: the food! We ordered a Ghirardelli hot chocolate, the Monte Cristo, and the Papa's Santa Cruz Omelette with a raspberry coffee cake. Our hot chocolate was like every brunch spot, but we loved that we could get our whipped cream refilled! Our raspberry coffee cake was served warm and was a fun fruity and cinnamon-y combination to try, but wasn't my fave pastry. Their variation of Monte Cristo was very different as they use pancakes instead of the usual toasted bread. Though it was fun to try a new variation of Monte Cristo, I do wish it used toasted bread. However, the filling of ham, cheese, and raspberry jam were in perfect sync together and carried the dish! I can't really say too much on the Papa's dish, but I know it's pretty good with cholula! I'll definitely come back to try their other brunch foods!

Quite the busy spot! It was maybe a 30 min wait for 3 on a Saturday. Service was super fast though. They were kind and attentive. Restaurant has a very diner ambiance. Huge menu so you'll likely find something you'll like. Food was pretty standard tasting, borderline lacked some flavor. I got the Benedict super. The poached eggs were a tad under cooked (whites were a little runny) and English muffins were soggy. The cinnamon roll was massive, good golly. It looked impressive but also lacked some flavor and was kinda dry. All in all fine, not sure it's worth the wait but fine for a diner.

Went on a Saturday around 11am as a party of 2. There was a big line and once we put our names down, the host said it would take about 20-25 minutes. After 15 minutes, there was a table available outside. I ordered the Gorgonzola scramble which comes with a choice of a bakery item and grits or potatoes. I chose the cinnamon roll (which costs $5 extra) and grits. My friend ordered the build your own omelette with potatoes and toast. We got the apricot French toast to split. The scramble was good, but not very filling on its own. The grits were flavorless - no seasoning whatsoever. I was disappointed by the grits. My friend liked her omelette and potatoes. The cinnamon roll was delicious though. It was warm, sweet, and buttery. It was also huge - almost the size of my hand. The apricot French toast was good - the grilled apricot and the apricot jam/syrup made the dish unique.Overall, I didn't really like my entree but the desserts were good. Service was good. Since I am a savory breakfast/brunch fan, I would give this place a 3.5.
