This restaurant took over what was Chef Us; or maybe the business model just changed? The furniture and layout is pretty much identical. Not a bad thing. It's a pretty roomy layout. One thing a bit off-putting though is they only use disposable bowls and utensils. And the bowls are the compostable ones so rice tends to stick to it. We ordered this combo meal which came with 4 dishes.- Leshan beef soup: pretty good. Beef had nice smooth texture. Came with a side of spices to dip if you like spicy. The soup itself was ok. Lots of cilantro and scallions. - pork belly: pretty good. Hard to go wrong with pork belly though - fish with sour veggie: it was ok. The fish had a bit of muddy taste, but the sour veggies masked it. - stir fried bok choy: decent but nothing special. It was a bit spicy though since there's some spicy oil. Overall, I'd say it's worth a try but I don't think we left being so impressed that we would return. We did try to stay away from spicy dishes though since we had kids. So maybe their spicy dishes are more impressive. We did see most tables next to us eating noodles.

Came across this restaurant while hungry in the area with some friends. We decided to give the restaurant a try because it was quiet and had some toys for a toddler in our party. Decor is quite cute and simple. Service was nice and food was good. Our favorite was the pork belly :) I think it's worth a try if the menu seems interesting to you!

So this seems to be a Mission Chinese scenario in reverse. Mission Chinese was inside another restaurant with no signage initially. Well Leshan Beef has taken over the space of ChefUs but the latter is still running out of their kitchen? Wacky.I didn't have a stellar experience at ChefUS and I'm glad they decided to make a more traditional restaurant instead addition to their ghost kitchen/.takeaway business. Now I had no idea where Leshan was not anything about the food . Apparently neither did my Chinese friend. So seeing the grand opening sign we went in. Turns out it is a region adjacent to Sichuan and I guess they love all parts of the cow. So we tried the thinly sliced beef, beef tongue and a combo of tendon/tripe. The dishes all come in a beef broth with herbs and cabbage. Conceptually it is kind of like pho but different spices in the broth. In fact the tripe tendon one was very similar to a pho sans noodles but with cabbage so it was good but not special. The thin beef and tongue however were fantastic. The cook on those where were stellar. The soup comes with this orange spice mix to season to taste. We also got the pork special noodles which is somewhat adjacent to a tan tan noodles and it was also very tasty. It turns out the owner is Sichuanese and decided to make a restaurant that was slightly more unique. She was super nice and gave us some of the base soup to taste. I'd definitely come back again to try the other Leshan specialties. Glad they took something that was just ok and created something much tastier 4.3 stars

I ordered the Leshan beef, but the beef is not very fresh. I had an upset stomach after the meal.

Most of their dishes are spicy, so if you are not into spicy food, the selection is limited. One thing that really put me off was that they use all disposable bowls and utensils. First, it's extremely bad for the environment. Second, it makes the dining experience less enjoyable. At least for me, I feel it's less of a restaurant experience, rather an experience of eating at a cheap fast food. O

Ordered to go from their website, when I picked up the order, noticed one item was out of order, Was told need to go through the third party that takes the order to get the refund, called them few times as well as the restaurant. No result.Only need to play what you ordered. The restaurant should be responsible to get the extra charge back! Not good for business!
