Stopped by looking for some Vietnamese goodies since the other locations in San Jose had lots of authentic snacks for sale on the counters. This location was more Americanized with an extensive menu for different types of sandwiches and appetizers, even drinks! Their pork meat pies are my favorite. The large sesame balls with mung bean inside were too sweet, so I would pass on those next time. Overall nice clean location.

Love Lee's caramelized beef banh mi sandwich. Had picked up a sandwich to take to the park, even after a couple hours and cold it was still delicious. Also picked up an order of the deep fried sesame, mung bean balls that were super crunchy and yummy along with an order of the pork egg rolls. When you walk in, there's a selection of hot goods in a counter display and usually they have to go food on the counter but today they didn't. Too bad we don't have a Lee's the valley.

So sad. What happened? First time back since lockdown. Ordered 1 of my favorites, the crispy pork belly banh mi. Beyond crispy, it was inedible. So tough and chewy, like bad jerky. Avoid! This was takeout so didn't discover until much later. Also ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. Much better. Smaller than I remember but still yummy. Two stars for the grilled chicken sandy and the fresh, crisp veggies.

We've been here before and also catered from them before. Our experiences with food quality is pretty consistent. My significant other likes their sandwiches a lot but I really like their bowls. We got the grilled pork bowl and the portobello bowl the other day. Both were generous servings. Even though portobello stir-fry can sound a bit plain, this dish was packed with flavor! We also like their grilled pork sausage sandwiches too. For catering orders, we really appreciate how easy it was to communicate with the owner, and that the staff went the extra mile to wrap each half sandwich so that our guests could try different half sandwiches and also not they needed to eat whole sandwich if they could only eat half. Pickup was also super easy-we paid in advance and the order was ready for pick up day of the event. Would definitely consider catering from them again. Service is generally efficient. It's a small store so there are a few tables to eat inside, but most of the time we just take to go.

Good food and a good value. I've only ever DoorDashed food from here but I'm satisfied with the food I order every time. Nothing crazy or special, just normal eats here that you can't go wrong with. If you're just hungry rather than a foodie, then this place is for you. The grilled chicken or pork bahn mi is always good and sandwich size is bigger than a typical Vietnamese restaurant. Sometimes I'll get the wings or skewers which I enjoy but I can also see why some might not like them, especially the pork meatballs. I personally like the taste of the pork meatball even if they look odd.

Lee's Sandwiches is a classic chain of Vietnamese restaurants specializing in banh mi. These Vietnamese sandwiches were built on a soft, chewy baguette (different from other airy Vietnamese baguettes I've had), along with a choice of protein, pickled carrots/daikon, cilantro, cucumber, jalapeños, and onions. And perhaps taking a page from Chipotle's burrito bowl, they've also started offering a banh mi bowl, which came with a base, protein, sauce, and typical banh mi toppings. I customized mine into a classic vermicelli bowl, starting with rice noodles, topped off with thin grilled marinated pork and shrimp, along with green leaf lettuce, cucumbers, pickled carrots/daikon, cilantro, green onions, and jalapeños. On the side, I had their sriracha mayo and peanut sauce, which both added a perfectly creamy texture and savory flavor, bringing all the components together! The interior of the restaurant was small and cramped, but the food was fresh, delicious, and came at a fair price--no wonder this place gets so busy!

Food is good service is good. But $7.00 for iced coffee.. its already premade. They just pour it in a cup for you. Seems high. I guess thats how it goes now, everything expensive. The premade sticky rice with chicken and sausage was tasty and pretty cheap still. Smaller portion and no wait time.

Lee's Lee's Lees!! Does it again! This place just like home! The food was fast and delicious and the bread was perfection. The pork was nice and tender. I'm gonna need some more authentic fish sauce which they call "Vietnamese Dressing" on their ordering app option.. This place was so good I came back twice in one week. I wish there was a few more locations around! So happy to have a little more standard Bahn Mi in my life. Oh god and those pork buns.... mmmmm GIve me 7 and rub my belly.
