The portion was not much, enough to be a snack but it is tasty. Maybe I had bad luck, but I'm gonna try to order something else and hopefully their portion control isn't as bad as it seems. I could use an extra 25% to 30% more from this dish.Service was friendly and attentive. My coworker had his dish given to him for free as it was missed during the initial ordering, which was a kind gesture. Only 20 seats were placed but they added extra seats upon notification to ensure we had 25 seats (party size).On a Tuesday afternoon, the ambiance was very calm and a bit on the emptier end but there were still customers. I would recommend this place for parties with different dietary needs as there is something for all diets.

The food at Lazy Dog was great, and their happy hour menu had plenty of options to choose from. We were really happy with both the food and the quick service. However, the only downside was the seating situation. We were originally seated in the regular dining area, and when we asked about happy hour, we were told we needed to move to the bar or outdoor seating--no problem, we were happy to switch.The issue was that the waiter didn't assist us at all with the transition. We had to grab our own menus and silverware, and since we originally had a high chair, we had to request a booster seat ourselves after moving. That part felt like poor customer service.Aside from that, it was a good visit overall, and we'd come back!

My friends and I decided to try Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar for brunch after debating between it and Jack's across the street. Lazy Dog won us over with its pancake options. We arrived around 1 PM on a rainy afternoon and chose to sit near the bonfire, which was such a cozy and outdoorsy experience.To start, we ordered the bacon candy, and it was fantastic! The bacon was super crispy with a hint of spice. The pieces were thinner compared to the bacon at Sweet Maple, but it was still a treat. For my main dish, I was craving something like eggs Benedict or chicken and waffles. There was actually an eggs Benedict option, but I couldn't find it due to the menu being organized in a very confusing way. I ended up ordering the hot honey chicken + waffle salad instead. The dish did include small bites of chicken and waffles, but it leaned more toward being a salad. That said, the flavors worked surprisingly well, and it was a nice combo.We also shared a Hibiscus margarita pitcher because, hey, it's Sunday Funday! My friends ordered a variety of dishes, including the country chickens + biscuit, chilaquiles, and a burger. The chilaquiles were delicious, and the country chickens + biscuit looked great. The burger, however, was a bit of a disappointment. My friend said it came apart too easily, and the texture was off.One standout moment was the service. Our waiter went above and beyond to get my friend a grilled jalapeño and even added salt to it, which was a thoughtful touch.Overall, Lazy Dog had some hits and misses, but the cozy vibes, good service, and fun food options made for an enjoyable brunch.

I've been pleasantly surprised to find a chain restaurant that consistently delivers good food. Although I've had several tasty meals at a couple other Lazy Dog restaurants, this was the first time visiting in Newark and ordering off their brunch menu. The service was very good. We were seated right away and our order taken. I had the Cheesy eggs and Avocado toast. Based on other places, I expected the eggs to be on top of the toast but they were on the side, which was perfectly fine. They eggs were cooked perfectly, soft and folded with cheese. Delicious. It was also served with crispy tater tots. My daughter ordered the Quiche, which was a good size portion. She said it was delicious too. Her boyfriend had the Breakfast Burrito, with all the toppings. Everyone enjoyed their meals. And the price was reasonable for the amount of food we had. Another successful meal at Lazy Dog!

I dined at this location because I wanted to see if it was just as good as I remembered trying it for the first time in Cupertino. To be quite honest I had a blast with the bartender, I believe her name was Sophia. She has this edgy look and charismatic personality that just stood out along with her natural talent to mix great cocktails and connect with anyone at the bar.
