Man... I've been to Uji several times and I'm honestly very picky about the matcha that I get from cafes. Lac Coffee has done it! Truly made its way to one of my top three in the Bay Area.I'm not sure why there are poor reviews regarding the quality/taste of the matcha. Many matcha cafes that pride themselves on matcha just batch the matcha and you don't get to taste the true flavor that comes out during hand-whisking to order. Lac Coffee I'm happy is able to do that still! When I came in, it was noon on a Wednesday. I brought my laptop in to do some work and was able to order immediately. I got a matcha latte with cheese foam and an extra shot of matcha. To me, it was perfect.I can tell that they use a kind of sweetener - could it be vanilla syrup? Whatever they use, it's WORKING! Highly comparable to what I got in Uji - and that says a lot. Don't let the poor reviews fool you. This is one of the best in the Bay.

I've seen this place on social media and thought I'd give it a try. The shop is quaint, small with a good amount of small tables for seating. I saw a good amount of folks working in here with their laptops. Decent place for WFH from a spectator's view. As someone who has a sweet tooth and is Vietnamese, I'd recommend getting 75% sweet or around that range. I got 100% and it was pretty sweet for me. The coffee and egg/salted toppings were standard. Matcha may have been a miss for me, but my partner liked it (it was more bland than other places I've tried). I definitely want to come back to try their other drinks, in particular the matcha with coconut water or their jasmine drink. Overall, standard drinks and decent seating! I'd give it another shot.

Got the pandan milk matcha today. It was quite sweet for 50%, so I would probably get lower next time. I also got less ice which seems to be an option for most of the drinks. The pandan was very strong and the matcha was very high quality, which I prefer not to mix together completely.On a weekday afternoon, all tables are taken by people working. The store was quite busy with people constantly coming in. There are a couple outlets along the wall but not many. Restroom available. Plentiful parking in the lot.

This is my first time trying Lac Coffee & it will not be my last. I definitely enjoyed their drinks and will be back to try their other items on the menu! It's located in a plaza with a variety of stores that share a parking lot. When you go, expect to have to driving around the lot a bit for someone to vacate their spot. The drinks are reasonably priced & the wait wasn't too bad. The employees are able to get drinks out quick without slacking on the taste. I ordered their jasmine matcha latte with 50% sweetness because I read a review stating that the jasmine tea overpowered the matcha. I absolutely love jasmine and matcha, so this was a no brainer. The taste of the jasmine is very apparent in the drink but you still get the matcha flavor. I really enjoyed it. My sister who also loves a strong tea flavor also expressed her interest in this drink because most tea shops don't make their drinks like this.My boyfriend got their pandan matcha latte. That was so also yummy, and the pandan flavor is not subtle. You can taste it and it's not overly sweet whatsoever, just perfect. The matcha they use here is good, and smooth. We'll definitely be sure to come back for our next matcha run! :) I want to try their other drinks as well as their soft serve.

:( Okay first off, super cute store. Unfortunately both the matcha and Viet coffee was not yummy. Cons: - long wait - matcha wasn't that good dark quality ceremonial flavorful matcha im used to- both drinks were too heavy creamed based - Viet coffee was too sweet Pros: - self checkout - lots of parking- Staff were nice - Could be a study spot!

**3.5/5**I kept seeing this place online and really wanted to check it out. I came on a Thursday around 11:30 AM and there was no line. You can order at the one self-order tablet or with the workers at the register. One thing that sticks out about Lac is that 50% sweetness is the default for their drinks, but you can also order at 25/75/100. It's very clean and modern inside. The art on the walls is very unique and I love that the light fixtures look like Vietnamese straw hats. They have 7 tables and it's pretty quiet and mellow in there since they were playing lofi music when I was there, so it seems like a nice place to study. I didn't get much staff interaction but they seemed friendly and got the drinks out pretty fast.What we ordered:- LAC (100% sweet): a unique combination of Vietnamese coffee and Jasmine matcha tea, but it sorta tastes like a milk tea/boba drink? We could taste the coffee but wished it was stronger. The Jasmine matcha overpowers it and the Jasmine flavor is pretty strong. Maybe we should have ordered at a lower sweetness level to get a stronger coffee taste? - Hojicha cream matcha (25% sweet): drink actually wasn't that sweet (which is what I requested anyway). The flavor of the hojicha was nutty and way more prominent than the matchaI'd want to try different things if I were to come back.

Ordered: Pandan Coffee, Pandan Matcha, Matcha Jasmine Latte New favorite place! I'm very glad to have found this place because their drinks are really good! The Pandan coffee is strong. You can taste the Pandan and the bitter flavor of the coffee, but it's not an overpowering drink that will make your heart hurt. The Pandan matcha was my favorite. The Pandan and matcha were super flavorful and well balanced which made both flavors pop out. The matcha jasmine was my least favorite as the matcha didn't stand out much compared to the jasmine. I thought their jasmine was a little different which made the flavor stronger than the matcha. This place makes their matcha fresh to order so I would highly recommend!!

Fairly decently sized parking lot but it is shared with a lot of other businesses. Can be a bit hard to find parking and they are smaller spots. I came on a Saturday around 1pm.There is WiFi here in case you want to work a bit. There are four 4 seater tables and around 4 two seaters. Ordering was quick and easy and got our drink in 5 minutes. Both 5/5!Pandan matcha: 25% Sweet. It still has some sweetness to it so I'd prefer this over their 50% (normal). You can taste the pandan and the matcha - perhaps a bit more matcha. Co Be Coffee (Ube): 50% sweet, which is still good. I could probably go for 25%. You can taste the ube and the Vietnamese coffee. A bit creamy due to the foam. Would prefer a stronger ube taste but this is better than Phin, LaCaPhe, and Pour Decisions.

Came in on a Sunday and it was pretty busy, but the parking lot where the store was at has decent space as well. I got the Pandan Matcha (iced), 75% sweetness (but recommended sweetness is 50%), and regular whole milk. You definitely taste more of the pandan more than the matcha. I think 75% is a bit sweet so I'll probably go down in sweetness and be good with that. I'm excited to come back and try their Pandan Coffee!

LAC is everyone's favorite matcha spot !I drove one hour and five minutes each way to get Pandan matcha last week. I dream of LAC. I can no longer bring myself to purchase matcha beverages from anywhere else. Everything about LAC is giving luxury, premium quality, SUPERIOR. They use Straus whole milk, they also have Pandan Oatmilk, and Ube Coffee. Omg. I love it HERE!I have celiac, I can't have dairy, and I have never felt ill after enjoying their beverages. The staff is so kind, so wonderful, the shop is so clean, don't even get me started on their Milo drink!They even found a way to make Milo fancy. STOP BY IMMEDIATELY. We need a location in Walnut Creek.
