La Corona Taqueria

This restaurant is near my daughter's job and I've gotten her food from here several times, but never tasted it myself. Well it's soup season, we had dinner there and let me tell you it was delicious! The service is great and pricing was affordable!For 2 bowls of Albondigas soup and 2 micheladas it was under $50 so good and good value.

Came here for takeout and was pleasantly surprised. This place definitely gives you a bang for your buck. Prices are cheap (especially for Japantown) & takeout service is quick. Would recommend carne asada tacos - not the best tacos I've ever had but for the price at $2.75 a taco, it can't be beat!

The tacos are not bad, I would come back if I wanted a more restaurant experience or sit down.I tried the pastor, asada, and lengua. My favorite was asada and their lengua is really good just not my personal choice of meat.They gave us free keeps and a refill! Which was really nice of them. Service was 10/10.

My mom originally ordered soup from here while being sick & we have came in person a few times, we love it! The handmade corn tortillas are my favorite, the portion size is very large which is great. On a previous visit I had their Michelada mix which was one of my favorites in this area. Their staff is very friendly & helpful, would highly recommend.

I don't know why this place hasn't been exploited yet. Their food is a bang for your buck and it's literally like a hidden gem near Japantown, San Jose. Tacos are a great price and Menudo is available every day. Like... how tf did I not find this place earlier. Their tacos de lengua is one of my favorites in San Jose. Menudo is good too. They gave me extra Pata which is what I always crave for menudo. Ask for extra onions, cilantro and lime and you're golden. Also always go for the Corn Tortillas. It's bomb. Literally one of the best.

The food tastes great- good quality for a good price.The staff are nice, and always ready to recommend a dish.The green enchiladas and the super burritos are my fave, but friends are always happy with different plates they order. The ambiance is cozy and relaxed.

This spot has an excellent selection of taqueria classics and staples!Whenever my husband is under the weather, he swears by their seafood soup--it always does the trick!Our kids can't get enough of their tacos, which come with rice and beans on the side. It's a family favorite. Plus, they always include a bag of tortilla chips, salsa, and a salad with our entrees.My husband and I love their breakfast burritos stuffed with scrambled eggs, bacon, and cheese. They also add potatoes, but we always ask them to skip those.

I was shockingly impressed with the food but my absolute fave was my drink. Will be coming back to try the pozole.

Who knew that the best taqueria/Mexican restaurant in San Jose would be in Japantown?Prices are pre-pandemicesque, portions are generous, service is quick and friendly, and the food is excellent. The ambience is old school restarante. I was there for lunch, so it could change completely after dark, idk. They have all the soups: Menudo, Albondigas, Caldo de Res, and Caldo de Pollo (I think, will double check), but only on weekends. I confirmed weekends only with staff bc the menu said soup was served daily. That didn't seem right, and it wasn't. I am going back tonight to confirm my priors, and will update if anything sways me from "Best Mexican in San Jose".

Unhappy with the service and food.I found pieces of plastic mixed in with my food and when I had addressed it to the waitress she claimed that it was onion and cilantro but apparently it had letters on the piece of plastic..I was still charged for my food and not even an apology, I will not return and I do not recommend coming here.
