Great service and great food! 5 adults and 3 kiddos (2 infants and one 2yo). We had a great time sitting outside. Make a reservation if you have a big group as it is a small place.I would love to come back and try more food. The pizza was okay but I loved the pasta and the kids plate. The most beautiful kids plate!

I recommend the Milpitas location over this one. Service is absolutely wonderful at the location. When my husband and I came to the Santa Clara location at around 8:30pm, we were told they weren't seating anymore because kitchen is closed because they close at 9pm when Yelp states they close at 9:30pm. The Milpitas location was still accepting dine in until 9pm so we headed there instead. Please update your time on yelp so customers do not get disappointed when they are looking for a bite to eat.

Oh La Casa Mia. In theory, I wanted to love you so badly as a blend of my two favorite cuisines (Japanese and Italian) but in actuality, you sadly fell short of my expectations In an unassuming parking lot, La Casa Mia surprisingly had all of its tables reserved on a Tuesday night so only counter seating was available which I did not mind. At first glance, the flowery decorations on the window sills and colored walls seemed to make for an interesting theme while coming in. As it got busy with reservations, it also seemed slightly short-staffed as only one server was helping to serve food and seat everyone. Many unique items on the menu caught my eye, including a dessert pizza. We settled on the sukiyaki pasta, mentaiko mochi pizza and eggplant parmigiana. The eggplant parmigiana came out fresh and hot with good flavor. The sukiyaki pasta was good but I've tasted similar at other restaurants. My vote for the mentaiko mochi pizza - skip it. It was not hot, the flavor barely tasted of mentaiko and I didn't taste the mochi either. Overall, for its price tag averaging $20+ per dish, I would say that the dishes are not justified by their prices. However, I would be willing to give this place one more try given its potential with the eggplant dish and unique menu items

Food wise, Kind of mid lowkey, like a bit more higher prices and small portions. Service and vibe, I do like the vibe of the spot, very cozy and sit down. Service was run of the mill.Still a good spot, but idk if I would go out of my way to recommend. Still, not bad!

My party of three came on a Saturday evening and waited around 30 minutes to be seated which wasn't too bad. Right off the bat, service was very friendly and remained friendly throughout our meal. We ordered Takoyaki, the Mentaiko Cream Tagaliatelle, Mentaiko Mayo Mochi Cheese Pizza, and Salmon and Ikura Spaghetti. First impression was that the food was plated very nicely. The Mentaiko Pizza was a little underwhelming as it kind of just tasted like any other thin crust cheese pizza. I didn't really taste the mentaiko or any of the other ingredients. It came with a lot of cheese and the portion was bigger than I was expecting. I was able to share with the rest of my party since their pasta portions were smaller. The Salmon and Ikura Spaghetti was ok, it tasted like stir fried noodles. The Mentaiko Cream Pasta was the best of the three meals. It was light and creamy. However, the portions for the pasta were smaller and I don't feel they were worth the price. Overall, nothing we ordered was really amazing, and I probably wouldn't crave any of the meals here; I guess I was expecting more unique and memorable flavors. Great service and cute atmosphere though! I liked the concept of Japanese style Italian food and am glad I tried it.

Came here on a whim with my mom for a little lady's meal for valentines weekend. No reservation so we came right at opening and got the last couple seats at the bar for walk ins. Would highly recommend reservations as they won't seat you at a table if they have a reservation even an hour later. Parking can also be difficult around meal time surprisingly. But I guess the Plaza is popular! We were excited to try the restaurant so we got a nice variety for two people:- baguette slices ($6 with up to 3 refills): this was a plate of 5 toasted baguette slices. Nothing to write hone about but a good vessel for our pasta sauce. We made sure to get our 3 refills though.- honey mustard chicken ($12): this was nice and crunchy. The honey mustard was tasty too. They definitely gave enough sauce. Chicken was tender and juicy- carbonara ($19): our favorite dish we ordered. Came with a poached egg and was a very tasty pasta. Decent sized. Lots of oil but good for dipping our baguettes into- mentaiko mayo mochi cheese pizza ($21): this was our most disappointing one. The pizza is impressively thin and solid. But the mentaiko taste was not very spread out. Not a lot of mochi pieces either so it was not the texture bomb we were expecting. Luckily it came with ranch but I think they can tweak it so it a a true mentaiko mayo pizza is just tasting like a regular cheese pizza with some hints of mentaiko every now and then. The place itself is very cute, and service is great. Food came out in a timely manner and water was refilled often. I would probably come one more time to try the other pastas and the takoyaki, but overall, flavors were there, just not quite executed as well on some dishes.

La Casa Mia is a Japanese-Italian fusion restaurant. I kept seeing them pop up on my TikTok feed, so I felt like it was time to finally try them. We came on a Wednesday evening around 7pm and were able to get seated pretty quickly, but each table was still full. We ordered the Sukiyaki Pasta and Mentaiko Mayo Cheese Pizza. Both dishes were just fine and not very memorable. The Sukiyaki Pasta's sauce was too sweet, and the portion was very small. The pizza just felt like an average thin-crust pizza. I've definitely had better Japanese, Italian, and Japanese-Italian fusion food elsewhere. We felt that La Casa Mia was just okay and not worth the price. The ambiance seemed cute but honestly felt kind of forced. My general thoughts are that they have really cool ideas, but the execution was lacking. From both the food to the decor, they were going in the right direction but fell short of actually hitting the target. However, the service was great, and our waiter was super kind. Overall, I think this place is overhyped and probably wouldn't come back.

Was hoping to rate this higher, but unfortunately it just fell short. We made reservations on a Monday night but probably didn't need to since there was only one other couple seated when we arrived. The place is small and "cute" - maybe too cute as in it felt a little childish? We ordered the following: * Nikujyaga Potato Stew La Casa Mia Style - Japanese Beef & Potato Stew with Cheese ($14)* Carbonara - Egg Yolk, Parmesan, Cream, Bacon ($19)* Meat Sauce Pasta with Pork Cutlet - Meat sauce, Parmesan, Black Pepper with Fried Pork Cutlet ($28)Out of the dishes, we really enjoyed the stew appetizer - it had the right balance of sweet/savory and was very good. Unfortunately, our main pasta dishes were underwhelming. The carbonara was rich and creamy with the bacon giving it a nice smoky flavor but the noodles were more of a ramen consistency and somehow turned soggy very quickly - it just didn't taste good together. In contrast the meat pasta somehow did not have enough flavor, and the pork was very fatty, so only ate half.We were going to go ahead and try a dessert, but the only item being offered was a kitten or bear shaped cookie with two additional chocolate cookies for $10? No thanks...Service was polite and friendly, but felt the prices were a little high in comparison to the portion sizes - highly doubt there will be a return visit.

Ah, I feel a little bad for leaving this rating, but I was just not too impressed by this restaurant. The idea is good - chic Japanese Italian fusion. Unfortunately, execution falls a bit short.. Prior to visiting the restaurant, I had heard good things and had seen a few photos of their food - not too much. Because of that, I was expecting a mature, trendy, and "nice" restaurant. Stepping in, it immediately felt a bit cheaper & much younger than I was expecting - sort of like college town brunch vibes? A little more cutesy than chic. In comparison though, the plates & silverware felt much more substantial and "nice", which is where I started feeling like the intention didn't quite meet execution. Service was friendly, but also felt a bit junior & fresh. It sort of felt like a group of friends who had decided on trying to open a restaurant together. In and of itself, that's not a bad thing. It just took away from the vibes I think they were intending. We ordered the mentaiko pizza, uni pasta, and salmon mushroom risotto. This is where I really felt their intention & idea: the dishes (especially the pasta dishes) were plated elegantly, and on plates that didn't feel cheap at all. And the food was good! The uni pasta took a little while to grow on me, but grow on me it did. It's less creamy than other versions I have tried, but equally as flavorful. The salmon risotto was a surprise hit - they managed impart the salmon flavor without being too fishy. And, there was a lot of salmon, yum! The mentaiko pizza wasn't as good as the pastas. It was a pretty good pizza, but I didn't really taste the mentaiko (maybe they should've put it on after baking?), and the cheese was a little bit too much compared to the thinness of the crust. Overall, I would say La Casa Mia was okay, but perhaps falls short of intention. I'm hoping maybe they will get better over time, and that the owners continue trying out their ideas & craft in this competitive industry!
