La Bocca Fina

I loved: Fruit tartTadich Black cod I really liked: Cheesecake +Sirloin Trí Tips +Lemon ricotta Ravioli +Salad +Catering probably made this the best wedding I've ever been to. Everything felt purposeful and ran like a well oiled machine. I'm so impressed with the venue and #goodeats. This is one of them ones you remember.

From day 1, Teri has been a dream to work with. For the hands-on type of couple that we are, she worked with us every step of the way. We were able to select and sample everything. This is everything that would be served at the wedding which included the cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres, the salad, the entrees, and desserts. We ended up not requesting the desserts from La Bocca Fina as we were sourcing desserts from a separate vendor. Once we had a sample menu set up, she invited us to come to the kitchen for a tasting of everything. We asked if we were to include a family member and she was able to accommodate. On the day of the tasting, we were invited into a small dining area and treated like guests in her home. Teri provided us tea and hot apple cider to start and served us dish after dish. She asked us all the right questions and answered all of ours. If there was any concerns or anything we did not like, she was able to substitute and accommodate. She was not stubborn but extremely flexible and completely understands that everyone's taste buds and palates are different. If we had a special request such as wanting to beets in our salad, she would suggest a variety of beets to incorporate more color. We were even able to request to substitute green beans with baby bok choy to go along with our sea bass over coconut infused jasmine rice. Since we were not completely satisfied with all of the appetizers that we sampled, she invited us to a second mini-tasting of additional appetizers where we happily selected the remainder of our menu. Once the food was decided, we had some minor homework which took us a while but eventually chose our dishware and table settings as Teri was in charge of taking care of the rentals for us. I am honestly surprised with how patient Teri is as I'm sure we went through a lot of back and forth before settling on our final items. She also helped us with the rental for a dance floor at the wedding venue as well. For our wedding, our top two things to prioritize was the venue and the food. The wife's was the venue and mine was the food. Everyone loved the food and I heard high praises for the lobster bisque soup sippers that were part of our cocktail hour. I was so nervous that I did not have the stomach to fully enjoy all the delicious food throughout the evening but I made the effort to at least take a bite into everything that was served. Teri was so wonderful throughout our interactions. She was responsive to our e-mails and shared her wisdom and experiences on what she has seen while working in the industry. Her expertise and attention to detail was what won us over even before tasting the food. The last thing that she did for us on the night of our wedding was set aside an extra pair of dinner and set of the each of the desserts we had ordered for our guests. This was so sweet of her and much appreciated as I was able to enjoy our wedding meal the next day when I regained some of my appetite.Teri is the caterer and pretty much a second wedding planner that you did not know you needed in your life. I have nothing but high praises to Teri and the team at La Bocca Fina.

Teri and her team at La Bocca Fina did a wonderful job for our wedding!Of all the tastings we went to, her's went the extra mile. Aside from the food being very good, she also served it on specific different dinner sets so we could see how it aesthetically looked. Loved that extra attention to detail!And oh my goodness, the food is incredible. Many of our guests were wow-ed, especially by the hors d'oeuvres. Her team is also very accommodating with small personalization touches and requests. For example, my husband loves bbq and mac n cheese, so we had a "summer bbq" themed meal for the beef. On the other hand, I'm Taiwanese, so we worked in a more East Asian style flavoring for the fish dish as well as Taiwanese egg tarts in the desert. Really felt like us!Another review touched on this a bit, but it does seem like La Bocca Fina/Teri can get very busy at times. I think that was especially true in our year (2022), given all the delayed weddings from the pandemic. It could be a tiny bit scary at times to not get an email back for like a few days, particularly on the weekends. Especially cause I was a ball of nerves all through planning (yeah, I'm /that/ bride)... BUT rest assured, as it gets closer to your wedding, she focuses on you and does give you lots of time and attention. Our wedding day itself went very smooth, no problems at all. :D And we had the whole menu and guest list and stuff resolved in the month leading up to it, so I was not stressed at all day of with anything catering-related!

Teri is the best and we would hire her again in a heartbeat! We hired her to cater our wedding in June at Villa Montalvo. She is one of their preferred caterers and knows the venue so well, which is key to a successful event! Her food was incredible--our friends and family are still talking about how good the food was which is pretty unheard of for a 200 person dinner. She worked with us on all the special details from obtaining local apricots for the salad to incorporating my favorite cheese and making sure that everyone's dietary restrictions were accounted for. She even made sure that my husband and I got to try all of the passed appetizers by bringing us a special tray just for us while we greeted our guests! She is the ultimate wedding cheerleader and has such great advice. We trusted her to make it a lovely experience and she and her staff more than delivered. She is so passionate about food and I know that for us when we first got the quote I was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of information on there. We had other quotes that looked more "professional" and "polished," but PLEASE don't let that dissuade you from hiring Teri. I think that she brings a personal touch to her catering business that is rare in the industry, and yet when it comes to service she picks amazing people and the actual event was so polished and professional. She is the perfect combination of the two. We also had her cater the welcome party for the wedding weekend. She made Paella and it was spectacular! We very much look forward to having another event so we can hire Teri again!

Teri and her team catered our wedding at Montalvo earlier this month and if I had to do it all over again, I'd still choose Teri and La Bocca Fina!Teri is just the sweetest person and it was such a pleasure to work with her throughout the whole process. As foodies, food was definitely something we wanted to be outstanding and La Bocca Fina's food definitely impressed us. Teri is willing to accommodate the menu to your tastes and budget. We even got to completely customize an hors d'oeuvre, so that was pretty cool.Not only was her food incredible, but having worked in the wedding industry so long, her knowledge went far beyond catering. She's like a wedding planner and her valuable input helped us make some logistical as well as design decisions. We also ordered our event rentals through her connections and we were able to get a nice discount on some upgraded rentals!The only minor complaint I have is with the colors and font she uses for her documents. She uses the cursive/calligraphy font, which makes her documents difficult to read comfortably.I highly recommend La Bocca Fina if you're in need of a caterer!

WOW! We held my daughters wedding ceremony and reception at Nestldown last weekend - This place was stunning, and the team led by Janet Yore was exceptional - they are exceptional planners, executors, communicators, creative and keep the trains running - also part Mom and emotional support system. There is not a better venue in the Bay Area. Of course it takes a team of vendors to make a memorable day.Kat's Flower Affair provided flower and design for our Rehearsal Dinner, Welcome Party and Wedding in Los Gatos. Nestldown in Los Gatos is just an awesome venue, flowers (mini Disney World and very manicured landscape), natural settings , redwood groves, lakes. ponds etc. and its hard to believe but Kat actually designed and created unique florals that made Nestldown standout - great to work with, very reasonable, excellent planner, and communication. Executed perfectly! There are many florists in the Bay Area - suggest you call Kat!!La Bocca Fina - Exceptional caterer who is so much more than a caterer - Teri Mancini has incredible food & service - food cooked on site - she also coordinates the rentals, Cake people, floor plan design, Bacchus wine, etc -between her and the Nestldown team you do not need a wedding planner - but you will need to be involved and communicate your wishes and ideas - Many guests(who have attended many, many weddings said the best food and service they have ever had at any wedding.Big Fun DJ- ask for Woody - they danced all night at the Apple Knoll - he is also the wedding MC -fantastic job.Toll House Hotel in Los Gatos - great hotel - couldn't have been better - hosted our welcome Party for 130 people and did a great job - Sushi Confidential and Roccos Ice Cream Tacos plus passed appetizers - ask for Charlene ( who is a rockstar ) and their wonderful team (Diedra, McKenzie etc).Corinthian Transportation - provided transportation shuttles from hotel to Nestldown - great to work with.All I can say is our daughter (the bride) and all of our guests were overwhelmed and all exceeded our high bar - what else could you ask for?

We had the best experience working with Teri and team for our Nestldown wedding in Sept 2023! Starting with the tasting (best part of wedding planning!), Teri was so friendly and helpful sharing lots of tips as we began the planning process. As soon as we tasted the first dish, we knew we came to the right place. Everything we tried was delicious and the presentation was top notch! Teri was so great to work with as we ironed out all of our menu and table setting details. We had around 150 guests at our wedding and the La Bocca Fina team truly went above and beyond making sure everyone was taken care of. From cocktail hour to dessert, every dish was delicious and beautifully served. Our guests are still talking about how delicious the food was! Make sure to order your dessert from La Bocca Fina as well - their in-house pastry chef is the absolute best! Thank you Teri and team!!!

Teri is such an incredible professional and her whole team made our wedding day an absolute dream. She designed us a custom menu based on my and my husband's individual ethnic backgrounds (Chinese, Argentine, Italian) and she was so responsive, joyful and easy to work with throughout the whole process. It was truly the best food I have ever had at a wedding, genuinely delicious, throughtfully and artfully prepared and plated. Her team also prepared our wedding cake and it was a showstopper. Teri and her team catered an event for 40 people at our home in June. Our normal go-to caterer is no longer and I fortunately found La Bocca Fina. From planning, making great suggestions, organizing, etc., everything was professional and first rate. The food and service were OUTSTANDING! They made a signature drink for the themed event, super delicious appetizers, a meat/fish and a vegetarian paellas, side dishes, desserts -- all were out of this world! And, one of my pet peeves is clean up -- other than the rented tables and chairs, you would not have known any event had occurred. I HIGHLY recommend La Bocca Fina -- they will not disappoint!

Our experience with Terri at La Boca Fina was excellent. Terri was so helpful with all aspects of the wedding dinner and reception. She was there every step of the process and on the wedding day to ensure the quality of the event. After serving 4 absolutely delicious hors d'oeuvres (shrimp, lamb, crostini and artichokes), we chose a family style of service with a Caprese salad, tri tip, salmon, and butternut squash ravioli. We were so happy with the quality of the food and service. Totally exceeded our expectations, because usually wedding food is so-so, but La Boca Fina served absolutely yummy food. Kudos to the chef! The chef even graciously accommodated several of our guests with dietary needs. We elected not to have a cake, rather we offered 5 desserts and each was delicious!!Honestly, there is nothing negative to say. We even had La Boca Fina run the the bar service and they were efficient, never with long lines for the 170 guests. Thank you Terri and La Boca Fina for helping to ensure that our daughter's wedding day was perfect! We highly recommend La Boca Fina to anyone and everyone who wanting a perfect celebration!
