This place is one of the rare eateries that offers a hefty vegetarian protein rather than just mushrooms: tofu katsu! The tofu here is actually seasoned and battered to perfection so that plant-based patrons don't have to miss out on anything. We got their crispy vegan tofu bowl, veg kamikaze fries, and crispy vegan tofu koja. My favorite is the crispy rice burger with the tofu katsu patty. I love my potatoes and if they were a bit crispier with more sauce they'd be great. The tofu katsu was delicious in the bowl but the greens felt plain & underwhelming with no dressing and canned pineapples (just the spring mix that you can get from grocery stores).Overall, the food we ordered was tasty and very filling but I'll come back just for the crispy koja rice burger. There's a self-service kiosk at the entrance that's shared with a Vietnamese restaurant so it's a bit confusing at first. Food took about 15 min to come out on a weekend night and the staff was welcoming.

Don't come here. Well come but eat the restaurant that this actually is, which is a Vietnamese place. This Koja thing is just a vending machine where you can't even ask questions that is inside the other restaurant. They have a phone number for questions but no one answers. What a rip off. I feel robbed because I gave a 20 % tip. We'll fool me once that's on me. Fool me twice, that's not happening Koja used to be amazing. They must have sold it to someone that doesn't care. The food is soooo bland now. Taste like warm water! Yuk. Poor Koja. Rest in peace Koja!

saturday lunch and stopping by koja kitchen...own koja entrance, but seeing just a kiosk to order...placing an order for the fried chicken rice bowl $10.99...beef koja $10.35...little confused since space opens up to saigon blvd restaurant next door to the left...talking to waiter and told we can sit in the saigon blvd tables...seated and food delivered from the same kitchen...fried chicken rice bowl was sauced up and good...crunchy chicken, mound of rice, salad and fully sauced...beef koja which is like a beef sandwich, but using rice patties as buns...while the presentation was nice and looked good, it was impossible to take a bite without the whole thing falling apart...would recommend sticking to the bowls....the beef was also sauced up, but little too much...regardless, a good hefty meal option for under $15 per person...

Great concept but falls slightly short...because it falls apart! My Koja burger fell apart two bites in. It was still delicious but I found it hard to manage. The original Koja burger has all the right flavor but this rice sandwich may have needed a little bit more time in the sun! I found the portions to be generous and the ambiance of the establishment great though! Self service was incredibly fast making this an ideal spot for a quick snack.

Their Korean beef and kimchi is very good and seasoned well. Solid portions and sauces. Great addition to the Cupertino area!

Literally my comfort food. I used to frequent the location on Brokaw Rd. before it closed down. It's been years since I've had KoJa and it really brought back memories. It wasn't that busy when I visited, so I was able to order at the kiosk immediately. I decided to go with the Original KoJa and the Kamikaze Fries. Waited about 10 minutes for my food to be served. The Original KoJa: 5/5This is personally my favorite. Tastes exactly how I remember it to be and the short rib tastes so good with the katsu aioli sauce. The garlic rice patties are soo crunchy and yummy. It's a bit difficult to eat because the burger is so tall but the ingredients are delicious. Kamikaze Fries: 3/4Not sure if I got a bad batch, but the fries were a little dry in my opinion. I liked how they served my sauce on the side, but it wasn't as crispy as I remember it being. The minced beef and big portion size was still really good, but nothing too mind blowing. Overall, had a good experience. It was very quiet when I came in, but everything was also very clean. It has dim lighting and Asian-inspired interior decor. Would come back again for a quick bite!

Lychee jasmine green tea (with lychee jelly and popping boba): 0/5. If the item's title says "with lychee jelly and popping boba", I expect jelly and boba included. Very disappointed. Not worth the $4.50 at all. Original koja burger: 3/5. For $11 and a small portion with no sides included, I expected much better. Flavor was OK, but the meat was dry. The novelty of a rice sandwich is what you're paying for.

Ambience incredibly awkward. No music so conversations were heard. Only group there. Remodeling was probably happening because half the restaurant was blocked off or used as storage. Fast service. Umami fries: bigger than expected, SUPER sweet sauce. Very dense. Musubi: Very disappointing. Bland as it looks. Barely any sauce. No furikake. Worst musubi I've ever had. 3/10 would come again.
