Yummy food!

Pad thai is dry AF. I had to improvise by using some of the broth from my kids soup. They definitely can do better with the sauce.

We went to King Noodle in Fremont today, and overall, it was solid. It's essentially identical to New Tung Kee Noodle House in San Jose--the broth, the menu, everything--so if you like New Tung Kee (which we do) then this is a great option. That said the ambiance could use some work. It feels very much like a soup kitchen or cafeteria, with long communal tables and no dividers between groups, which can be a little awkward. There's also no music playing so the atmosphere is pretty bare-bones.One small thing I found odd was that they don't offer basil with there soups. Most similar restaurants do, and they clearly have basil in other dishes, so it's not that they don't have it--it's just not provided as a standard garnish. However, they do offer pork skins, bean sprouts and pickled jalapeños at the table. The jalapeños aren't spicy, but they add a nice crunch and freshness. If you haven't been to New Tung Kee in the South Bay just expect a very decent bowl of soup--that's what their known for. Nothing too fancy, but it gets the job done if your craving wonton soup or something similar with shrimp and other meats. It's inexpensive which is a plus.Customer service was fine--friendly, but there was a bit of a language barrier that made communication slightly tricky at times.Overall, if you're in the area and in the mood for a comforting no-frills bowl of noodle soup King Noodle is worth checking out.

I used to go to New Tung Kee, aka TK Noodles in Milpitas. After moving to the East Bay I was looking for something similar. After looking around on Yelp, I was surprised to find a place with the same menu as New Tung Kee. The reviews for this place aren't great, and I can see why. When you walk in, it's dead silent, with no music in the background. The seating layout is cafeteria style and you share utensils and condiments with the table beside you. One of the walls with seating is used as storage for many things out in the open for customers to see. On the walls, they have blue light bug zappers. That makes me think they have some fly issue in the restaurant. It's a weird ambiance where I feel like I'm eating in a soup kitchen. I ordered #3 with half ho fun noodles and half egg noodles for the food. The bowl has pork wontons, chicken, pork slices, prawns, and beef balls. What they are missing is ground pork, which New Tung Kee includes. I also asked for extra pork skin/pork rinds. Their pork skin here does not hold its crispiness in the broth. One thing this place is better at than New Tung Kee is the broth. The broth here is more flavorful. Service here is lacking and there's a language barrier. I asked for a side of bean sprouts when I placed my order, and the person who brought out the soup didn't bring any sprouts. He had to get another person to communicate with me. If I crave this style of soup, I would rather go to Thanh Ky in Oakland, which is a million times better in every way.

I've been coming to this establishment when I was little. I usually order Combination over Rice, but it's overrated to me. So I decided to try different things here.I remember years ago that they used to turn on lights with nicer atmosphere. Now, they're always off during the day. Not sure why though. Also, they leave their work supplies on the tables where customers sit. They should have at least a storage room for them.Other than that, their service is fast and food is good. Not really great but good enough to fill you up for the rest of the day. Probably will skip dinner or eat a little since I finished the whole plate of chicken and mushrooms with rice.Although that the overall experience is just okay, I'll probably come back here a bit often to try other dishes.

We wanted a hot pho on a cold day and decided to come to King Noodle. It's close to Traders Joe's so we can go supermarket shopping after. The place is big and has a lot of tables. Once we sat down, we pretty much knew what to order and had their combination rice noodle. It has sliced beef, chicken, fish balls, and siomai with rice noodles. The service was very fast and we got our order within 10 mins. I just want to comment on the size of this bowl. It's very big for one person and in fact, I have to take home one-half of it. The meat is so tender and the pho is very delicious. I've been coming to his place for awhile now but didn't review it until now. If you want a hot pho or soup, you've to come here and try them. They also have rice plates and dry noodles if you want something else.

Perfect spot for some comforting noodles. This place is so frills at all, very basic interior and seating. The menu is quite extensive and the service is fast, you usually get your food within 10 min of ordering. My go to order is the combo wonton egg noodle soup. There's something about it that just hits the spot and is super comforting. I also love the chili sauce that is available on the table, it adds a perfect amount of kick to the otherwise simple soup.

Well... that's an interesting experience, eating here feels like in china neighborhood restaurant 30 years ago. The place inside is super old, the service made me lough how bad it was :) but it suits the place so it's ok. The food was actually pretty good, I had a wonton soup, I liked it a lot.

I have been here a few time and have had a good experience each time. I usually do take out. I feel like the portions are good. They pack the soup and noodles separately which is nice. The staff is helpful and the food arrives quickly.

Basically this is TK Noodle under a different name... can't go wrong with the basic Combo #1 Noodle... Gotta come here when the craving hits because this dish reminds me of a childhood that is now lost... sipping broth and slippery noodles while reminiscing memories from the past...Thanks King Noodle!

I was sad when New Tung Kee by the Lion Market closed and I discovered this place. The menu is pretty much the same. I got the #6 which has rice noodles, egg noodles, shrimp, beef ball, and pork. It just as good as I remembered it! The service was good but could be better.
